Chapter 1: Chapter 1 : 20,000 Year Old Goddess
I woke up covered in blood. I'm by The Red Sea where I was supposed to die. Why didn't I die? Who stopped me this time? I sit up and see that my phone was still where I left it. Twenty-two missed calls from my mother.
I don't think I've called her at all, but she must've been worried. I then get a message from her saying:
Mom
Don't scare me like that! You almost gave me a heart attack, young lady. I can't wait to see you, please call me soon.
Right, I haven't called nor texted her at all. I wasn't going to come see her, that's not why I came back to Ninjō. So then...
"I texted your mother for you, Kirami." There's that same voice I heard when I was in the water. I look up at the starry night sky and see a woman standing in-front of me and in-front of the glow of the moonlight. Dark skin, long wavy black hair flowing through the breeze, her cat like eyes glowing blue and yellow looking down at me, and are those cat ears? The woman is completely nude and soaking wet.
She kneeled down to my level and I notice two tails swinging behind her and a broken heart mark on her left cheek. I was afraid, but I was also admired. This woman looked oddly beautiful.
"You should go see her, you know. She's waiting for you" the cat woman reminds me. I couldn't speak, I try my best to let words come out of my mouth and process why the hells happening right now. I finally ask "Did you save me?" The cat woman stands back up and puts both of her hands on her hips. "Of course I saved you, you don't see anyone else out here, do you?" I looked around the dark beach, I guess there is no one else. How long was I out?
"Get up, meow" the cat woman grabs both of my hands and gets me up on my feet. I feel sick, her hands are warm. One of her warm hands caress my cheek and she says "you're too beautiful to die, you know." I swat her hand away and shout "but why?! I could've been with my wife. I don't know who the hell you are and how the hell do you know me. Explain yourself!"
The cat woman sighs. "My name is Mari. I'm a 20,000 year old goddess that grants wishes by The Red Sea. Instead of letting someone commit suicide, I let them make a wish instead. But it comes with a price, of course".
Mari continued to explain. "I know that you lost your wife, June, and I know how much it hurts to lose someone you love dearly. So this is just a suggestion, but hear me out, meow. I can bring back your wife." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. A 20,000 year old goddess? Wishes? I can get June back?
I ask Mari "what happens if I believe everything that you're saying?" She grins and tells me "then I'll make your wishes come true. It'll take some time though, probably a few days or weeks. But I'll only make it happen if you don't try to kill yourself again. And another thing..."
"What other thing?" I ask. Mari walks behind me slowly, softly rubbing her hands on my shoulders. I was cautious, almost worried about what the other thing is. Her glossy lips get up to my ear and she whispers softly and seductively:
"Be mine."
