Chapter 40: Agreement...

Vin worked fast… I was happy to have someone like him by my side. Though, I felt a bit guilty for Maya… they had not much time together after Vin finished his work. 

The new company was registered in just a few days and the announcement of the contest was made, with the support of my father's production team. It was a bomb. Everything went smoothly and fast. So fast that it gave me an ominous feeling. 

"Why did they say yes so quickly?" I asked Vin. The documents and contracts with my father's production company and acting agency were quite efficient.

Vin sighed. "I had help from your grandfather... and your uncle."

"What are you talking about?" I hadn't said any of this to that old man.

"They were at the production company and agency when our team arrived at the company's main office for the contract. Somehow they knew we were going. We offered to buy the company and…"

"AND?"

"They accepted..." but he didn't smile.
