Chapter 2: AI002

[...]AI

[Let's do this again. Hello! I am AI002 an extremely sophisticated, very advance, highly intelligent, superbly intellectual---]

"Shut the fuck up. How long are you gonna praise yourself? Get to the fucking point." Arthur had enough of this crap.

First he traveled to a completely new world. And now there was some narcissistic dipshit going on and on, without any pause, inside his head.

[Analysing Host's pattern of speech. .. Analysed. .. Revising database. ..]

[Hello Arthur. I am what you call an Artificial Intelligence and I am stuck inside your fucking head.]

"..." Arthur

He waited for the voice in his head to continue but there was no response. He kept waiting for the next 15 minutes.

"What? That's it? That's FUCKING it?" Arthur was very pissed right now. All that flashy Host speech and database shit just to say three Fucking sentences.

[...Yes] AI

"Calm down mate. CALM the fuck down. It's no big deal. Deep breaths... Yeah. Take deep breaths..." Arthur tried calming himself. He knew he would get nothing getting angry over 'nothing' inside his head.

"Okay. What are you called again?" Arthur asked aloud.

[My name is AI002. You can just think about what you want to ask. I am literally inside your head. I will hear you.] Replied a robotic voice. You couldn't distinguish it's gender. Sometimes it felt like a male's voice and sometimes of a female.

"Nice name... So what are you?" Arthur 'spoke' in his mind.

[I am an Artificial Intelligence, designed to help the new host, i.e. you, in getting to know his inheritance.] The voice replied.

"What Inheritance?" Arthur also instantly calmed down and asked.

[There was a civilization that once spanned through countless worlds, Rain Civilization. Due to it's increasing power, some people felt threatened. So they started suppressing it. Ultimately it started a war that destroyed many worlds.]

[Although the Rain Civilization was very strong and fought the war for many decades from initial offensive to defensive, but in the end it wasn't a match to the collective power of all it's enemies.]

[It was destroyed. But before it's destruction, there were Inheritance Sparks distributed among endless worlds. Just in hope of it's resurrection.]

[These Sparks were very small, just the size of dust. After escaping these Sparks became inactive, no different from ordinary dust. They carried inside them the blueprint to build the Rain Civilization from scratch.]

[In it's small size, they carried a lot of things using extremely advanced space technology.]

[These Sparks could only be activated when they came in contact with a potential candidate to Inherit the Spark.]

[It has been a million years since the Rain Civilization vanished.]

[I am one of these Sparks. I was activated since I found a perfect candidate to Inherit the Spark of Rain Civilization, that's you.]

[But when you were in the process of Inheriting, a space turbulence appeared. The Spark protected your soul which got sucked inside the turbulence.]

[Then next time, the Spark carrying your soul appeared inside this body.]

[There was no soul inside this body, i.e. he was dead before you occupied it.]

[Inheritance was disturbed due to space turbulence. It is recommended to continue it.]

[Do you want to continue?]

Arthur was shocked by the revelation. He never thought something like this was even possible. Rain Civilization, Inheritance Spark and space turbulence. All these terms were echoing inside his head.

He doesn't remember anything about getting sucked into some black hole and shit. When exactly did that happen? How did he not now anything?

So he asked. "Why don't I know anything about this Inheritance thing? When did this happen exactly? ...I remember leaving the bar. What happened then?"

[When the Spark found you, you were lying on the middle of nowhere. Apparently you were highly intoxicated with alcohol and passed out.]

[So the Inheritance procedure was automatically started.]

"So that's what happened to me. Passing out on road, huh." Arthur tapped his head. He was finally getting clarity amid the fog inside his head. But how did that space turbulence appear?

[There can be many reasons for that. No conclusion can be drawn without any actual analysis.] AI002 spoke again as if it knew what he was thinking, before he could even ask.

"Oh..." Arthur was again lost in his deep thoughts.
