Chapter 1: Vulnerable
Hi, I'm Isabelle. I am fifteen years old and this is my story. I have never seen my dad before. Mom says he left her when she was pregnant. I and my sister used to be friends when we were little but it changed. We quarrel a lot and it keeps getting worse and worse.
It's the first day of High school and I woke up very late so I missed the bus and my mom decided to drop me at school but my sister volunteered. My mom said her goodbyes and left the house. A minute later, my sister, Anabelle called her best friends to pick us up. Instead of going to school, they were going to the mall, and with rage, I said, "Why are we ditching school to go to the mall?" and my sister replied, "You are such a baby, why won't you have some fun in your life." Her best friends supported that too.
We finally arrived at the mall and they were shopping for clothes, shoes, bags and the others and I was two hours late all thanks to my sister. I confronted her and told her that I was going to tell mom about this and all she did was say, 'You are very stupid to think of doing that because no one is going to believe you', tears welled up in my eyes as she said that and I was deeply hurt and I couldn't take it anymore. I decided to call mom and tell her all about it but it was too late, for my sister who had already called her told her that I was the one who started all this and because of that she missed school.
The car was very silent as we got home, for no one uttered a word only the radio and the sound from engines and their horns could be heard. We soon reached home and mom told my sister to go upstairs for I could tell that she was very upset. She asked, "Why would you do such a thing?", I tried to explain my self but she never gave me the way. She grounded me for the weekend leaving me in tears.
I was so disappointed in her to think of me like that. But I did not let any of that get through me cause I know that she will be caught one day. I hope this weekend turns out fine...
