Chapter 14: Fourteenth

Tamitha and her friends had a great time having their dinner at the Steak Place; Castor's all-time favorite resto bar, which was growing unto the ladies too. Tamitha's personal favourite was the delectable white pasta which that would desire you to come back again and again.

They are now on their way back to their dorms when a familiar figure bumped into them.

"Pollux?" Castor called. "Where have you been?" He tried approaching his brother, but that didn't stop Pollux from walking away.

"I'm sorry, I got to be somewhere I needed to be."

Tamitha froze the moment she saw the person she's been wanting to see. But her blood instantly boiled when she heard how he responded to Castor.

"That's just it? You're back with your jerk self again?" Pollux suddenly stopped walking and didn't move a muscle, as if waiting for Tamitha to talk again.

"After treating me different and messing up with my feelings, you would suddenly go back to being distant again?" Tamitha now on the verged of crying. She's just frustrated with how Pollux's acting again. He started saying sweet nothing, then back to his cold self again? What the freak was that?

"You know what… I-If you won't give some answers, then never come near me again." Tamitha's voice quavered while staring at Pollux's back, hoping he would look at her and finally give her some answers.

Pollux let out a deep sigh before facing Tamitha. It took him a second before approaching the lass' direction. The lad caressed her face and swiped out her tears, making Tamitha closed her eyes to feel his touched.

They are now on their own world. Tamitha didn't notice that her friends' already gone. "I'm doing this for you, Anika…" She heard him whispered.

Another tear fell from her eyes when she heard him called her second name. It always soothes her whenever he would call her that.

"W-What do you mean?" She looked up to meet Pollux's hazel brown eyes. It seems like it's hypnotising her. Pollux now caressing both sides of Tamitha's face. They gazed at each other, Pollux went closer until their foreheads touched, "I-I don't want to be part of this chaos."

Tamitha's eyebrow furrowed, not understanding a thing of what Pollux was saying. "Anika, you don't know how many times I tried to hold myself back, but you still keep pulling me…"

"P-Pollux, I don't understand what you're saying?" Before Pollux could even answer, someone cut him off.

"Oh, look what we have here… Is this a lovers' reunion?" Asteria with a smug look on her face, showing how happy she was that she just ruined their moment.

Pollux stood up straight and wiped his face while Tamitha looked away for a second and wiped her tears, then let out a deep sigh.

"What do you want Asteria?" The lass tried her best not to sound pissed off because she didn't want Asteria to know that she once again pissed her off.

The red headed young lady let out a smirk before shifting her gaze to Pollux while tilting her head and twirling a piece of her hair. "This cute guy asked me out! But I didn't know you guys are a thing." The lass excitedly stated.

"What?!" "The hell are you saying?" Both said in unison, making Asteria laughed.

"Are you for real?!" Tamitha angrily looked at Pollux who's now trying his best to explain what Asteria mean. "N-No, Anika! I-It's not what you think–"

"Save it! I don't want to hear it, anyway. You're probably just going to feed me some lies. You never even tell me anything, anyway."

"No–Please Anika, let me explain! I'll tell everything you want to know, just listen to me, please." Pollux begged, but Tamitha had enough of this for today. She started walking away from the lad, but he still kept insisting for her to listen. The lad desperately grasped Tamitha's arms, but she kept pulling it away and resisting. "I've had enough of this for today, please stop." The young lass lazily stated. Making Pollux stopped what he was doing too.

"Let's talk tomorrow. I'm answering your questions the best I can. But I just want to let you know that there's nothing going on between Asteria and I, all right?" Tamitha just nodded and continued walking.

Tamitha's energy was all dried up. She got no power to answer anyone anymore. She headed straight to her room and got herself all cleaned up, ready to sleep when she noticed the piece of paper that only she could see.

She sighed and picked up the paper. She tried reading the words, but she still can't understand a thing. She got her laptop out and searched for it. It was kind of hard typing it one by one, but she came through.

She tried her best to look it up, but nothing coming up. She's not actually sure what language was it.

"Light up to do it, to do it, to do it, to unlock it, to do a refresh." Tamitha read. That's the closest thing she got, but none of it made sense. Translations from the internet were really not accurate, making Tamitha disappointed for wasting her time over nothing.

She decided to just sleep and worry about it tomorrow; she doesn't want to deal with any more stress.

***

She woke up a little late, which is why she's cramming to fix her things for today's subject. It was a full load for her today and she got no time to worry about anything. She decided to just focus on her study first.

Her first subject was a lab class, and unfortunately it was one of the classes they had together. She sighed and got inside of the room, completely ignoring the lad's existence even if she saw him raised his hands.

Tamitha's getting her things ready when Pollux approached her. "Hey…" The lad greeted. Tamitha still ignored her, making the lad exhaled loudly. "All right, I'll give you some time alone, just call or text me when you're ready."

The rest of the day went by and surprisingly no one bothered her, making her feel relieved even just for one day. As soon as her last subject dismissed, she immediately went straight to her dorm, but a tremendous amount of mail welcomed her in front of their dorm room. Her forehead creased. "What the hell is this?"

She opened one of the mail only to find out that the content attached to it was the same as the other thing she received yesterday. She tried opening a few more mails and they're all the same.

Tamitha started freaking out, not knowing what to do about this. She doesn't know why does she kept receiving these messages. Why can't it simply tell her what they wanted from her? Why do they have to stress her out?

She kept pacing back and forth, thinking what she should do about these mails scattered outside their dorm room. When a familiar voice called her.

"Tamitha?" She looked at the person's direction with panicked all over her face. "Hey, what's wrong?" The lad immediately jogged to Tamitha and tried calming her.

"I-I kept receiving mails like this… I-I don't know what to do anymore. I don't understand what they want from me." Tamitha started having panic attacks, making Pollux more worried. "Hey, Hey, look at me. Take deep breaths, okay? We'll solve this, all right? I'm with you…" He kept assuring Tamitha, making her calm down a bit.

He caressed her face, still talking her out of her own thoughts. He also tried making their breathing in synced until Tamitha finally relaxed.

Pollux asked for their room keys and guided her inside of the room. He asked her to take a seat while he gets her a cup of water. "Here, drink this." She obliged.

While Tamitha's drinking her water Pollux tried looking at the mails Tamitha's been receiving. "Fotíste to fos, kratíste to foteinó, to epómeno prágma pou xérete óti to cheie tha anavosvínei brostá sta mátia sas." He read aloud, making Tamitha looked at him with a shocked look on her face.

"You can see it?!" Tamitha shouted, making Pollux's eyebrow furrowed. "Of course?"

"H-How?! Castor and Pearl can't see it! I almost thought I'm going crazy! Oh my gosh, what's going on with my life?!" Tamitha's starting to panic once again, but Pollux immediately calmed her out once again.

"I-It's a message from the heavenly." Pollux answered, getting all confused why Tamitha's receiving messages from him. "What is he you up to now?" He whispered.

"W-What do you mean? Wait, no! I don't want to know anymore. Just tell me how can I stop them from sending me this."

She looked at Pollux's direction only to see him thinking deeply while intently staring at the piece of paper he's holding.

"Illuminate the light, keep it bright, next thing you know the cheie will flash before your eyes." He stated. "You understand those words?" Tamitha looking amused how the lad easily translated for her.

"It's in Greek, my Father used to teach me this language." He looked at Tamitha with a bittersweet smile on his face, remembering those days.

"Anyway, since when have you been receiving these letters?" Pollux started looking around the dorm, making Tamitha followed him, all confused with his action.

"Just yesterday, but the very first letter I received was stucked on my bathroom's mirror." Pollux instantly looked at her and swiftly shook her shoulder while asking where's the bathroom she's talking about. She leads him to her bathroom, still bewildered with Pollux's movement.

"Go inside." The lad ordered. "W-What, why?!" Tamitha panicked. The lad pulled her, making Tamitha freaked out.

Pollux kept repeating the words stated on the piece of paper while looking around the closed bathroom. Tamitha was just in the corner, not moving a muscle.

"Illuminate the light, keep it bright, next thing you know the cheie will flash before your eyes." Pollux repeated once more. He turned off the lights agitating Tamitha more. "What the freak are you doing, Pollux?! You're scaring me." She cried, but the lad's too focused on cracking the code.

He opened his phone's flashlight and asked Tamitha to do the same. When they're both ready, they pointed it directly to the mirror and there, they saw a hint flashed before their eyes that made Tamitha's mouth agape, not believing what she's seeing. While Pollux smiled, being proud of himself.

"This is one hell of a ride… Are you sure you're ready to be part of this?" Pollux asked.
