Chapter 42: I feel the pain when you're hurt!!

Xuan was in the busy streets of Beijing with Yang Dao and Feng Lui when he smelled the scent of angels nearby him and he felt like they were approaching him. He looked at Yang and Feng, gesturing to them that they have to go to some peaceful place.

"Let's go to the nearby park," Yang Dao suggested. Xian nodded and they turned their path to the nearby park. Since it was noon so there was no one at all. The trio seated on the bench there. Xuan created a hemispherical shield around them; thus making them invisible from the human.

Mei Li Yangzi and Zi Gongzhu landed on the earth, making themselves visible to the three demons. Yang Dao and Feng were mesmerized to see the eyes of Mei Li who was wearing a white dress, with long black open hair. Gongzhu smiled which appeared the most beautiful smile to them.

Xuan smiled looking at them. He told them they should take the seat first. The both heavenly angels nodded and sat on the bench there. Yang Dao was just looking at Mei Li Yangzi's eyes. Xuan and the two demons with him turned towards the Angels with their hands at the back.

"We are honoured to meet the young master. In the Angel realm your praise, I've heard many times." Gongzhu started with the praise of Xuan. "I'm Ying Zi Gongzhu and this is Mei Li Yangzi. We are tasked from heaven to protect the human." Zi Gongzhu introduced themselves.

"The Princess of Shadows with the most beautiful smile in the three realms of the universe, your name suits you. You usually come out of the shadows to help the humans, mostly tasked with serious human matters. Mingmei should feel lucky to make you her one of the protectors." Xuan admired angel Ying Zi Gongzhu which made her smile.

He then turned to Angel Mei Li Yangzi. "Indeed you've the most mesmerising and elegant eyes with beauty in this entire universe. Your eyes are enough to make everyone fall for you." Xuan complimented Yangzi. Mei Li smiled and thanked him for the admiration.

"Yang Dao, Feng Lui are really bound by two angels' beauty," muttered Xuan and laughed.

"Young master isn't influenced by our beauty?," asked Yangzi. Xuan lips twitched hearing this. "You are forgetting there's no one who can actually make an influence on me even if they are angels." Xuan stated his point. Yang Dao and Feng Lui smiled looking at Xuan.

The next second Xuan's expression turned serious. "Well, we were observing Mingmei for 2 hours. She has lost her job and she was cursing you for this. Apart from this she almost got caught into an accident. I'm surprised you didn't know about this." Yangzi told him.

"What? Is she fine?," asked Feng Lui. Yang Dao was also curious to know.

"She's fine. Someone saved her. Well, that's not the issue. The main problem is the demon who's behind her. Don't underestimate that demon. We both are best in our capabilities but then it's your responsibility to fully protect her," stated Gongzhu.

Xuan didn't say anything. "We both will be around her all the time so I would like to advise you in that time to find that demon. If you fail in this in any way we angels won't be able to do anything. The door of hell will open up and then you know the consequences ahead," muttered Gongzhu. Mei Li got worried hearing all this.

"I know. Thanks for telling me this." Xian expressed his gratitude. The two angels got up from the bench and disappeared from there. Xuan waved his hand and the shield disappeared.

"Mingmei must be feeling sad. She was telling us that she got this job after two years of hard work. She wanted to buy a big house for herself," murmured Feng Lui.

"Then we can ask from Ming Si to give money to Mingmei," suggested Yang Dao

"No you can't do this. She said she will buy the house from her own money," said Feng Lui. Xuan listened to them quietly. "I've to meet her. Father has told her that she will get a good job but she lost her job." Thought Xuan in his mind.

Mingmei found the job in the nearby store of her house. The pay was very less but now she didn't have any other option. She was sweeping the floor when a customer came on the counter with the items he wanted to purchase.

Mingmei ran towards the counter and bowed before him. "Uncle, you've to give 500 yuan," said Mingmei. The customer nodded and gave her the card. Mingmei swiped the card but there was no money in that. She looked at the man.

"Uncle, I think this card doesn't have money. Please make the cash payment," Mingmei politely said.

"How can this be possible?" The man confusingly said. "Okay, I've 100 yuan. Rest payment I'll make later. I'm a regular customer of this shop," stated the man. The shop owner wasn't there so Mingmei was suspicious of him.

"You're thinking I'm a conman? I'm not. The shop owner is my friend. I live two blocks away. If you're suspicious then you can come to this address too." The man said and told her the address.

"I think this uncle is saying the truth. He has even given his address so I should take the rest money from him in the evening," thought Mingmei and took the address from him. The man thanked her and walked away from there.

Ning Li was sitting on the chair there, only visible to Mingmei. "You're too kind. What if he's lying?," questioned Ning Li. Mingmei laughed and said, "Why would that uncle lie? He has given me his address too. See. In the evening I'll go there." Saying this she walked out of the counter and set the things on the shelves of the store.

Mingmei shift was till 5 pm. In the evening more customers came there and she made the payments really quick. "I think Lord Haya was referring to this job. But it's not a good pay," thought Mingmei and continued the transactions for the customers.

After a few minutes the shop owner came there and told Mingmei he got stuck in work due to some reason. He then calculated the sales amount and found 400 yuan less. "Ahh sir, a friend of yours came here to buy 500 yuan things. His card wasn't working and he made a cash payment of 100 yuan." Explained Mingmei.

"Which friend?," asked the shop owner.

"Ahh here he has given his address. His name is Weng Zao," said Mishi.

"I've no friends with this name. Mingmei you shouldn't believe the people like this. Now I'll cut the payment from your salary. Not to repeat this mistake again else I've to fire you. You can go home," stated the shop owner. Ning Li watched this and felt bad for Mingmei.

Mingmei didn't say anything, took off the store name jacket, picked her bag and walked out from there. "Ning Li, you were saying right. Let's go to this address which the man has provided. I have to ask for 400 yuan back from him," said Mingmei.

Ning Li nodded and became visible. They both went to the mentioned address and rang the doorbell. A woman came out of the house. Mingmei explained to her about the man's face. "I'm living here alone for 10 years. You've come to the wrong address," said the woman. Mingmei apologized to her and stepped back.

"I told you that you shouldn't be too kind. Earth is a cruel place to live. You should think about yourself before anything else. People can fool you easily this way and you won't get anything, " said Ning Li. Mingmei didn't say anything and kept walking on the street. Ning Li was following her.

Mingmei was sad and unknowingly tears started falling from her eyes. "You know I've faced this for a long time. It's all because I have a bad fate. I thought this fate would leave me when I grew up but I was wrong. But it doesn't mean I should give my true self behind. I know people are like this but then every human is different." Mingmei murmured in a broken voice.

She kept walking when she felt a hand on her hand. The next second she vanished from there. "Xuan," whispered Mingmei and then found herself at a different place.

"It's one of Ming Si's houses." Said Xuan but before Mingmei could speak Xuan said, "you won't live in that house anymore. I don't want to listen to any of your words. You were cursing me on the day that you lost a job because of me." Mingmei looked at him in surprise.

"Don't be too startled. I can read your thoughts as you're my bride. Well, sorry that you lost your job and I didn't even come to meet you when you were running in that street," murmured Xuan with a smile.

Xuan raised his finger and said, "one more thing I want to tell you. Your fate isn't bad. I love the fact that you're the kindest human on this earth. You were the one who showed kindness towards me when I had nothing. That's why you're the only woman who's special to me other than my mother."

Mingmei hugged Xuan tightly, burying her face in his chest. "I'm sorry Xuan for talking bad about you in the back. I'm really happy that you are always there to console me." Mingmei expressed her emotions while crying. Xuan cupped her face and then wiped off the tears from her eyes.

"Don't cry," murmured Xuan and then looked at her hand. He gently grabbed it and put his other hand over that. "Don't get hurt. I feel that pain when you're hurt," muttered Xuan and then looked into her eyes. Mingmei's heart fluttered hearing these words of Xuan.
