Chapter 51: A Demon's Wrath!!

Gongzhu was walking on the side road at night. For two nights she didn't meet Yangzi as she was more disturbed seeing the man in the market that day. "Why the tears fell from eyes seeing that man? Who was I in my past life? Who was he? Why did my heart ache seeing him?" Such kinds of questions were revolving in Gongzhu's mind. She was so immersed in her thought process that she forgot that the pavilion had ended and she stepped on the red on which many vehicles were moving. Since she wasn't in her Angel form so any vehicle could hit her. But Gongzhu wasn't aware of her surroundings. Suddenly she felt a hand on her left arm and with a great force she was pulled by someone which made her come out of her thoughts. The person who pulled her was Ying Zao. His one hand was on Gongzhu's waist while the other on her left arm. Gongzhu was holding his arms tightly, gazed into Ying Zao's eyes. The huge truck which was going to hit Gongzhu passed away when Ying Zao looked at Gongzhu. "Don't you know that this road isn't the sky where you can roam freely?," muttered Ying Zao. He was slightly angry and that could be felt hearing those words. Gongzhu pushed him and then straightened herself. "What do you mean by the sky?," inquired Gongzhu. Her cold tone made Ying Zao smile. Gongzhu didn't expect such a reaction from her. He held her hand in his and then stepped forward when he felt Gongzhu wasn't ready to leave from there. Ying Zao turned to look at her and said, "Let's go. I'll explain." Saying this he stepped forward still holding Gongzhu's hand. After walking for a few minutes, they went inside a cafe where Ying Zao told her to sit. "Who are you? Leave me," muttered Gongzhu in her cold voice and then averted her gaze from him. Ying Zao released Gongzhu's hand and told her that he would tell her everything after having a coffee. "Listen human...I mean Mr XYZ, better to let me go else you don't know what will happen to you," grunted Gongzhu. "Sit and have a coffee with me," stated Ying Zao and then made Gongzhu sit around a small circular table. He then ordered two coffees for them and sat opposite to her. Giving her one he started sipping his coffee. "Why were you so eager to die?," asked Ying Zao. "What? Why would I die?," muttered Gongzhu and started drinking the coffee. Ying Zao thought not to tell her about his true identity. "Listen Miss, you should see both sides beside crossing the road. I'm in the police so it's my duty to tell the citizens what they should do when they are too depressed. Suicide isn't the solution for everything and suicide on the road is prohibitable in my dictionary. Last time a citizen tried doing this I thrashed him after that and he told me that he won't ever do this," explained Ying Zao and then sipped the coffee. Gongzhu slightly smiled hearing his words. "Your smile is so beautiful why don't you smile always instead of carrying this cold aura around you?," asked Ying Zao. Gongzhu immediately turned to her normal self, murmured, "I wasn't doing suicide" and was going to get to when Ying Zao grabbed her hand. Gongzhu looked at him with a raised brow. "Let me drop you home," offered Ying Zao. Gongzhu jerked his hand and said, "it's not needed. Thanks for the coffee, though it's not of my taste." Saying this she left from there, not let Ying Zao say anything. "Ahh, why is this Angel so cold?," murmured Ying Zao and sipped the hot coffee. "Ahh, my tongue," muttered Ying Zao and then left the coffee there, leaving from there. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Xuan and Mingmei were done eating when Mingmei tried getting up from the bed. Xuan observed that and went to her. "Where do you wanna go?," asked Xuan. "Um..that's why Ning Li should be here. Bring her back," murmured Mingmei. "What? She can't. I've decided something. I will stay with you as no one will be able to protect you except me," muttered Xuan. "So, tell me where are you going?," asked Xuan again. "Washroom...I want to go to the washroom. I'll go myself as Ning Li isn't here," murmured Mingmei when Xuan carried her in his arms. "Leave me," murmured Mingmei. "If I'll leave you then I think your back will break for sure," grunted Xuan. "Do you want me to do so?," questioned Xuan. "Are you nuts? Do you want to me lie on the bed forever?," murmured Mingmei and held his arm tightly. Xuan smiled slightly and took her to the washroom. He made her stand near the washbasin and told her to come out quickly. Mingmei nodded and told him to shut the door. After 15 minutes Mingmei opened the door. Xuan carried her again and then put her gently on the bed. "I want to heal up really quick. It's awkward you know," said Mingmei and looked at her feet. "I will heal you once the wound of glass pieces go away. Your back was injured too that time so I'll heal that too," stated Xuan and sat beside her on the fluffy bed. "How? I'm telling you only a doctor can do that. You don't have to use your healing methods on me," said Mingmei when Xuan put his one hand on her back. The sudden gesture of Xuan made Mingmei startled and she slapped him lightly on the cheek. Xuan looked at her in confusion. "What do you think it was for?," inquired Jun. "Sorry, I don't want to. You touched my back and reflex acted that way. I mean…," murmured Mingmei and then caressed Xuan's face. Xuan grabbed her hand and said, "don't touch me." He was quite serious in saying that and then averted his gaze to her back. He made some hand sign on her back, a violet flame appeared on his hand and he caressed her entire back. "It's a healing technique, quite famous in the demon world but only a few can learn this. I'm one of them who learnt this technique." Xuan told Mingmei. Mingmei felt the pain on her back was going away. She felt relaxed and fell to sleep. Her head fell on Xuan's shoulder. Xuan looked at her. "Humans fall asleep if we use this technique on them," whispered Xuan and continued healing her back for a while. After that he made Mingmei lay down on the bed and covered her from the blanket. "Mingmei, I've decided something. A Demon's wrath when fell on someone they're destroyed completely. So, it's time to teach your brother a good lesson. For a long time he enjoyed his life but not anymore," muttered Xuan under his breath. "So you are going to teach him a good lesson?," asked Feng Lui. "Yes. You both till then take care of her," said Xuan looking at Feng Lui and Yang Dao. "Don't worry," assured Yang Dao. Xuan then looked at Fei Ming Si and they both disappeared into a thin air.
