Chapter 32: Chapter 32 : Du Ji forms a Insane Spiritual Beast Contract
Suddenly, the White Maiden emitted out an aura so pure and dense that Du Ji froze. It was being she couldn't even fathom, an existence that can destroy an entire country if she wishes.
"I apologize for doubting you!" Du Ji bowed down her head slightly.
"It's fine human..now pass me both of your hands." the White Maiden gently said
Upon contact, The White Maiden chanted, and a great amount of energy surged between Du Ji and the White Maiden.
The White maiden calmly spoke, " Do you accept me as your spiritual beast till death and beyond?"Du Ji gibbers "Yes I accept…" After all, this was the first time Du Ji performed a spiritual beast ritual to blind them together as soul mates.
"Good..I the white maiden of the 12 heavenly demons shall protect you from any harm even at the expense of my life" The great white snack reiterated.
With that, the energy stopped surging to Du Ji. The Spiritual beast ritual was successful. Wei Di smiled at the corner feeling accomplished. There are several reasons why he didn't formed a contract with the White Maiden.
Firstly, his spiritual beast was already destined to be the ancient beast - the white tiger. Secondly, he wanted to gain a strong ally to his team. But the third and strongest reason was that he genuinely cared about Du Ji and wanted her to be able to survive the dangerous journey to the border.
