Chapter 35: Chapter 35: Transform Turtle!
Most of the cultivators managed to secure a spiritual beast and smiling happily over their companion. Most of them all looked rather impressive in size and fierce-looking. The first to head over was the City Lord Son, Murong. He managed to secure a sliver wind wolf which is the top predator in the entire forest. Of course, he had to boast and gloat his achievement to Wei Di. The sliver wind wolf was endowed with beautiful soft grey and white fur. As it followed Murong around, its radiated aura was gloriously fierce with clear blue eyes and menacing sharp white claws.
He sneered at Wei Di "Hmph the last time was a fluke, with my silver wind wolf, you wouldn't even stand a chance against me now."
He then saw that Wei Di has chosen a turtle. With that, he continued to mock" A Turtle?!?! You must have gone bonkers"
"So what if I am a turtle!" The Golden Vein Meteoroid Mountain Turtle screamed back!
"This turtle can talk..." Murmurs could be heard as everyone's attention was on Wei Di and Murong.
Only spiritual beasts of extremely high intelligence or a high spiritual level were able to speak the human language. Thus all the surrounding audience was astonished that the turtle could speak the human language.
Even the head instructor in charge of the forest ground was bewildered. He dives deep into his memory and he couldn't recall that there was such a spiritual beast of the caliber in the forest that was able to speak the human language. He then started to frantically flip the forest documentary book. The book contains all the different spiritual beast records that lived in the forest. Nonetheless, he still could not find any similar records that match the image of the turtle. This was no surprise after all the turtle was here way before Fengfan forest documentary book was created.
In response to Murong's insults and taunts, the irritated turtle immediately ballooned into a Gangetic monstrous turtle towering over all the silver wolf. The turtle size seems to be on par with a small hill. It gasped open his mouth and unleashed a huge roar that uprooted all the nearby trees. All the surrounding spiritual beasts including the prideful sliver wind wolf trembled and shivered in utmost fear. They recognise the unsettling powerful aura that was always concealing itself. They recognize the aura of the untouchable king of the forest.
Wei Di jumped on the turtle and said "Hey Lets go meet a friend of mine!". He then pointed in the direction of Du Ji's purple lotus manor. The turtle bends its knees and leaped off the scene. Within a minute, he arrived at the purple lotus manor.
"Dooomm" , the size of the turtle cause the ground to tremble with each step. That sound attracted Du Ji to came out of her room. As she opened her door, she saw a huge leg outside the door. She lifted up her head and saw Wei Di smirking at her.
Wei DI jumped off the turtle and landed on the ground with both legs. He pats the turtle's leg and said "Transform!". With that command, the turtle shrinks back into an average small turtle and stood innocently beside Wei Di on his four legs.
"What is with the crazy size of the turtle.." Du Ji looked at the turtle again as she was unable to fathom what just happened.
"Pretty cool right haha..anyway i came here to bid goodbye to you. As mentioned before i will be leaving Fengfan City soon." Wei Di casually told Du Ji.
"So fast..when are you leaving? Don't get me wrong, I am just concerned I have to find another practice partner" Du Ji turned her head away slightly but her side of her eyes were still fixated at Wei Di.
"Tomorrow I will be leaving for Chengyan City" Wei Di replied.
"Tomorrow?! And Chengyan City?!? It is a city filled with the most notorious and menacing criminals from the region..why would you even tried to recruit someone from there?" Du Ji couldn't contain her concern.
"No worries, I will be back safely" Wei Di replied. Wei Di didn't want to disclose his full plans to Du Ji yet to Du Ji but it was too premature for her to know. In fact, she wouldn't believe it anyway.
Slowly, there was a figure that walked out from the Du Ji room too. It was the White Maiden. She said "Be safe. As promised I will teach Du Ji how to cultivate my poison arts while you are gone."
Wei Di was reassured by those words. After all, with the white maiden beside Du Ji, nobody in Fengfan City could harm her. With that Wei, DI left the purple lotus manor and headed back to his home to pack his items.
