Chapter-78
(A/N:-Another chapter containing Mayumi's confession and this volume ends, I will not write the details of their engagement and will directly go to the main plot.)

(The King POV)
Crack!
Bam!
The floor burst open as I flew out, my whole body was covered with a baleful aura and some minor wounds here and there.
It seems that I may have underestimated the power these humans possess.
It was wrong of me to assume that they are just intellectual creatures with weak fighting capabilities and it led to my creator's demise.
But it is okay, now that I have discovered that humans can indeed pose a threat to my race.
I will make sure to eradicate most of them.
I looked at my body.
Even after all that, I was barely harmed; sure there were a few gnashes here and there but none deep enough to draw any blood.
I turned towards the two humans in front of me.
Both of these humans are either the very best of their race or they have a specific advantage when fighting against someone of my type.
I wore an indifferent expression on my face; it seems I have finally calmed down after my creator's death.
While it is indeed a pity that he is dead!
I am not too angry about it.
As The King, a being who is ever-evolving; I am confident in my abilities to create more of my species in due time, especially with the aid of the knowledge my creator has left behind in his laboratory.
I looked towards both of these magicians with a plain expression.
"Bravo!....." (King)
"You have earned my respect..." (King)
"If you back down right now, I will spare your lives and allow humanity to exist permanently in an exotic zone. Only a selected few of you will be used as food for my race." (King)
Both of these humans were strong but there is no defeating me!
I am born perfect!
There is nothing in this world that can harm me!
I am invincible and must carry the fate of my race!
I am "The King"!
"Unfortunately, we can't accept your offer." (Erik)
"Two predators cannot co-exist." (Erik)
"Today, either you will die or we will die." (Erik)
"That's just the way it is..." (Erik)
Sigh….humans, if you aren't willing to accept my kindness.
So be it.

(Erik POV)
It's about time.
He is about to get serious.
Multiple black dots appeared around The King, giving off a menacing aura.
Must avoid getting hit by those, I doubt that even Katsuto's [Phalanx] will be able to block it.
"[King's Extermination Ray]...." (King)
Chiii!
The black dots turned into beams, moving towards us at a very high speed.
Hundreds of them were assaulting everyone within the conference room.
Tsk!
He is attacking everyone, I can't let too many of the magicians die today; otherwise, it will indirectly make things easier for [No Head Dragon].
I still need them to attract everyone's attention.
The King was capable enough to destroy the whole country in a single attack; each of us had that capability.
Unfortunately, neither Katsuto nor I could use the magic of such a level in a place filled with hundreds of people.
But now, The King was not holding back, not that I blame him. I would do the same if I wanted to get rid of everyone within the room.
Katsuto immediately used [Phalanx] to cover as much area as he could, though it was still not enough to protect everyone.
Boom!
Bam!
Bop!
Badabop!
Boomp!
Pow!
"You lose!" (King)
Katsuto had to maintain the barrier to protect everyone from the hundreds of beams bombarding the barrier.
The King wanted him to be defenseless so that he could easily kill him while he protected others, so to achieve his goal he broke the floor beneath him and came out of the other side to bypass Katsuto's [Phalanx].
He immediately closed the distance between him and Katsuto, intending to decapitate the latter with a swing of his tail.
Unfortunately for him, I couldn't allow him to kill Katsuto.
Katsuto is not only my best friend but also an accomplice of mine.
Looks like I am forced to use one of my trump-cards.
"Checkmate!" (King)
The King swung his tail towards Katsuto, but I stopped him using my [Vibranium-Wires].
Before he could break free, I tossed another [Flash-grenade], blinding everyone present in the room.
But unlike before I didn't escape.
A subtle magic sequence appeared on my primary C.A.D, the [Pocket Watch].
I need to finish this quickly.
"[Eidos Manipulation Magic:-Time]...."
"[Za Warudo]..."

(Third POV)
Due to Erik using a [Flash Grenade], everyone was incapable of seeing, temporarily.
But if someone could, they would notice the speed of beams bombarding the barrier seemed to have been slowed down to a crawl, eventually a stop.
One of Erik's trump card is the power to temporarily stop time, allowing only himself and anyone with the same power, to act within the duration of stopped time.
While time is stopped, he can move his own body freely, along with any object he touches, allowing him to strike his defenseless enemies, move to a superior position, and toy with his victims.
All force applied by him during the time stop continues to exist after time resumes.
This is seen when the [Vibranium-Wires] that he throws can momentarily move during the stopped time before grinding to a halt and then regaining its initial momentum once time starts moving again.
Another unique feature of the time stop is how he can seemingly float in stopped time. Since no forces other than the time stopper's exist during a time stop, there is no force of gravity, allowing him to move freely in space as he wishes, with the help of his magic.
Notably, he needs to consciously activate [Time Stop], which means that surprise attacks can prevent him from stopping time.
Now, you may think that what does he want to achieve from stopping time?
He still can't kill The King, especially since he can't use his magic and then justify what had happened.
Unfortunately, there is one another ability that Erik possesses and you guys are forgetting about it.

I couldn't feel my body!
Neither am I able to use my psion!
What is going on!
I tried to force my body to move but I just couldn't feel it anymore.
I tried to look around, unfortunately, my eyeballs weren't moving at all, causing me to focus on what's in front of me.
Huh?
It's that other magician, what has he done to me!?
What a minute!
Why isn't his partner moving?
He resembles a statue, completely unmoving.
*Steps closer*
I cautiously observed the approaching magician who seemed to be completely unaffected by this strange phenomenon.
"This is the end!" (Erik)
What do you mean, 'This is the end!?'.
Even if you can indeed restrain me, you can't inflict damage on me!
"That's where you are wrong...." (Erik)
He can hear my thoughts!?
"Exactly, I admit that you are the most powerful creature in the world. But even the strongest can't go against time, nothing can....." (Erik)
Don't tell me you somehow stopped time itself!?
But that's impossible, no magician can do that!
"Indeed, you are correct. This power isn't something a mortal creature of this world can achieve, unfortunately, I am not of this world." (Erik)
What!?
"It is indeed true that no spell can actually kill you, unfortunately, I don't need magic to kill you." (Erik)
"[Hit's Pressure punch]...." (Erik)
Erik suddenly disappeared from his position and appeared right in front of The King, his right palm clenched into a fist!
"Hit!...." (Erik)
Bam!

A horrifyingly powerful force poured inside The King's body!
The sheer power of Erik's strike twisted the very fabric of the space around them!

Arrghhh!
I clenched my teeth from the pain I was feeling.
But this is impossible, his attack hadn't been able to penetrate my armor so why am I taking damage!?
"Hit!...." (Erik)
Bam!

Once again the space trembled!
Green-colored blood leaked from The King's mouth as his consciousness flickered ever so slightly.

Arghhh!
What the hell is going on!
"My attacks aren't targetted towards your body." (Erik)
"I am attacking your collapsing soul." (Erik)
Huh?
What does he mean by that!?
"Your creature is physically perfect but your information body is incomplete and unstable." (Erik)
"From the moment I first attacked you using my stakes, I was already damaging your collapsing soul." (Erik)
"You see, my attacks aren't meant to physically damage you, no, rather they were meant to hurt your information body." (Erik)
"Similar, when I bound you using my wires, I was still attacking your information body." (Erik)
"Fortunately, due to you being totally focused on your physical weaknesses and strengths, you didn't bother looking at your information body." (Erik)
"And now, your body is breaking apart, it was only a matter of time until you died because of your incomplete information body, I just happen to accelerate that process." (Erik)
T-This!....
T-This means that!.....
You had me in checkmate.....from the start!?
"Goodbye, King!...." (Erik)

(Third POV)
Erik's whole body was covered in a Blackish-purple aura.
He formed a claw with his right palm and pierced The King's chest, grabbing onto his core and ruthlessly pulling it out!
Sure, The King's armor was strong but [Hit's pressure punch] was a style using which Hit had killed individuals who possessed the power to destroy planets with a single finger.
Erik looks at the core in his palm, the cubic object suddenly started shrinking and turned into an hour hand of a clock.
He pulled out his C.A.D, the [Pocket Watch], and opened it.
The pocket watch didn't have any hands, thus making it crystal clear what he needed to do with the hour hand within his palm.
The hour hand was easily attached to the pocket watch.
"Looks like my time is up!" (Erik)
The time once again started to flow, the flash from the grenade was still in effect so Erik immediately tells Katsuto, using his [Outer-Systematic Magic], to go full power and wrap the King's body within his sphere of destruction.
Knowing the severity of the situation, Katsuto doesn't delay and immediately wraps The King's body inside a full-powered [Maelstorm].
"Rhhhaaaa!...." (Katsuto)
He pours all of his magic inside his sphere, now that The King was dead with his core removed, his body had lost its high resistance.
Therefore, Katsuto's magic shredded the creature's dead body at molecular levels.
This way no one would be able to examine what Erik did, neither will they be able to experiment on the creature's dead body and create similar abominations.
And the flash had already prevented them from seeing what had transpired at the very last second.
Katsuto and Erik already had a convenient story to say.
The young Juumonji went all out and pulverized the abomination.
