Chapter 15: CHAPTER 14: Lucrezia Valentino!
"Welcome mother. Is there something urgent that you visit me without prior notice?"
The elegant woman with a stunning appearance entered the room. She had waist-length hair as black as a starless night sky. And sparkling forest green eyes that reflect the sun and porcelain white skin. She looked in early twenties but her actual age exceeded forties.
She stood near the door crossing her arms.
"Should there be a specific reason for me to visit my son?"
"Not at all. Please have a seat." He spoke as courteously as he could.
"Please bring in some refreshments." He ordered the maid.
"Make me a chamomile tea would you? And please no sugar. I'm already suffering from a severe headache."
"Did you and the king fight?"
"Who else would ruin my life?" She grumbled.
"Is his majesty doing alright? I heard his health is deteriorating day by day."
"Oh dear, for god's sake enough of him and his son. And call him father. HE IS YOUR F.A.T.H.E.R."
—"I'd never considered them as part of my family even if I die." The aura around him darkened.
His thoughts nailed on his mother's head. She knew her son like clear water.
"You are Sebastian von Atlanta. My son, be proud of it."
"No my dear mother, you are only ever mistaken in the end. I am Sebastian Valentino."
"Son. You don't seem to be yourself today."
"..."
"If there is something you want to share, you can confide in your mother."
She leaned forward gently placing her hand on his shoulder.
"Oh no, mother. Why would you think I will be worried?"
Sebastian smiled slightly reassuring his mother.
"Does that eye still hurt?"
"No mother, it doesn't. You worry too much."
"Of course I worry. It's my son I'm worried about."
She let out a heavy sigh. Her son was
as stubborn as she was herself.
"My son. You are near to a marriageable age. I worry about your future. You aren't even engaged. How about I find a girl for you?"
"Mother. I don't even want to talk about this—"
The maid entering the study bringing in a tray of refreshments interrupted their argument.
"But why!" Lucrezia cried out placing a cup of tea back on the table before she could even sip tea from it.
"For now, I don't plan on marrying anyone. Besides, who would marry the monster of the kingdom?"
"You are not the only one people consider as monster my dear. The Nirvanas are the family of monsters. If not their women then the head of the family Azriel Von Nirvana is one of the most ruthless beasts in the entire kingdom. Or maybe even in the entire continent."

"So how's the marquess doing? I heard his first daughter Sloane was ill for some reason."
Upon hearing her name, Sebastian blushed slightly.
"She is doing quite well..."He mumbled under his breath.
" What?"
"Nothing. Ahem! I just said that he was doing fine."
"I heard you say SHE." She narrowed her eyes out of suspicion.
"No mother. You must have not heard it properly."
She raised a brow. While he avoided eye contact with her.
Sigh*
"Alright, I trust you."
—"Does she have psychic powers?"
He twitched his brow.
She yawned getting up.
"Sebastian, my boy. I will be staying here for a few days. Is that okay with you?"
He looked at her. She was tired of the arguments.
"Of course not mother. Please stay here as long as you like it. I will ask the servants to prepare a room for you. Please make yourself comfortable."
"Oh look at my son. All grown up and good looking.Just like your mother."
She caressed his cheek slightly, smiling gently.
He bowed and kissed lightly on her hand.
She left the room humming.
—"Rest well, my dear mother."He smiled bitterly going over to his desk.
