Chapter 45: The puppeteer
In the devil's palace
The devil watched all his experiments, he was getting better and better at experimenting with those human life's. He was very pleased with what was happening to William, he hoped that William wouldn't be able to get his sanity back.
The devil chuckled at this thought, because he knew that it was almost impossible for William to get his sanity back. After all the system he made for William directly planted demon seeds in his body. He would need the luck of a god to escape from this.
But then something happened that distracted the devil from William. The puppeteer had successfully ascended to immortality. This was a shock to the devil; the puppeteer was the most amazing genius that the devil had ever seen.
He had let this guy reincarnate as a cripple and planned to help him out like he helped William. But his help wasn't needed… the puppeteer found a way to heal. Not just that, the puppeteer mastered the arts of crafting and became known as the master of puppets.
He even succeeded in making puppets that had real intelligence, something that should only be possible to gods or at least immortals. But the puppeteer succeeded as normal mortal, defying everything that the devil knew about.
Not to mention that the puppeteer found a way to become immortal before he ascended to immortality. The stories of this guy were endless he was probably the biggest genius that ever appeared in the entire universe and now he was in the world of immortals. He was a full-fledged immortal.
Puppeteer pov
The puppeteer had just ascended to an upper level universe, his old universe simply had no challenges for him anymore. So, it was time for him to rule another world, the world of immortals would soon tremble in front of him.
Behind him were three puppets of different sizes and shapes, they looked curious at the new world that they were in. The puppeteer had long found out how to achieve the powers of an immortal, so all his puppets were full-fledged immortals.
He looked at the new world he was in and thought back on how he got here. He still remembered clearly the times when was reincarnated into the body of a cripple. Back then he had to abduct many children and cripple them just to find a way to become a noncrippled somebody.
After dozens of tries and dozens of dead children he had finally found a way. And it involved carving, in his old world the puppeteer was a master of carving and was well known by everybody. And in this world his carving knowledge helped him out, he was crippled because he had problems with his heart and that stopped his chi from flowing properly.
So, he did the only logical thing and replaced his heart, with the carving of a heart. Carving in this world was different then in his old world. Carvings would have power and they would have more power the better the carver was.
This way the puppeteer could craft himself new organs. And he started replacing all his organs, the new organs were better than old ones and had more functions. This allowed him to be stronger than everybody else.
He also studied the art of puppets and was soon known for his terrifying powerful puppets. With his terrifying strength he easily took control over the world. There was resistance at first but it couldn't stop him. He used his knowledge of replacing organs on his army and had soon an unstoppable army.
But that wasn't enough for the puppeteer he wanted more. So, to get even more powerful he soon replaced his own brain by a carving of a brain that he made. Of course, he experimented it first on children again to make sure that it really works.
But with this all of his organs were finally replaced and were way more powerful than they were before. Not just that he also could give those carvings elements making himself basically immune to all those elements in the process.
He knew that the only difference between an immortal and a mortal was that an immortal embodied an element. So, he strengthened his elements in his body and soon achieved the embodiment of dozens of elements. And he did the same for his puppets, it took a lot of resources but it allowed him to become immortal.
His puppets were long intelligent by that point, he had studied souls and how they work and started to work on replicas of souls. They weren't souls but were still able to think, feel and everything a soul could do.
And now he was in the upper universe, after taking basically Control of the lower universe he had finally ascended to the upper universe. And it was time to carve his way towards godhood.

Pinky_chan Little chapter to build up for the future. Hope you guys don't mind, tried to still make it interesting. Not sure if people are interested in such chapters, but I wanted to build up that character already. Sorry if you guys found it boring.
