Chapter 164: Hospital

Nesryn let out a wince as she tried pulling her arm back, only for Azriel to tighten his hold as his eyes kept their focus on the bandaged arm. Tears had already started pooling at the corner of Nesryn' eyes, this time from pain and not from joy, she had attempted once more to free her hand from Azriel's hold, only this time a loud yelp of pain managed to escape from her throat, finally snapping Azriel out of his rage.

He immediately let her hand go as Nesryn backed away from him, clutching her injured hand on her chest as tears fell from her eyes. "I am sorry," he whispered, trying to reach out to her but she backed away. Her eyes and mind had both registered the amount of pain in Azriel's eyes, how truly apologetic he was yet her mind was screaming for her to run away.
