Chapter 51: Ugly Jealousy
"You!?" I'm really surprised she approached me. Most people say that she doesn't want to get involve with anyone, so I thought she'll never do this kind of thing.
"O-Oh. Do you not… um, want to… drink this?" She stepped back looking flustered.
"Err, n-no. It's fine, I'd like to drink."
The girl handed me her bottle, and it's so obvious how nervous she is with me. Though it's actually nice of her to help, I wonder if what they say about this girl isn't that true at all.
"Anyways, thanks." I said, giving back her bottle and left.
When I finally got back to the classroom, the girls were talking with their other friends. And I find it selfish how they won't even introduce me to their other people. There's also a few things I noticed in this class, I can feel that they're all excluding me... they're excluding Lynn.
So I had no choice but to stick with these bitches.
"Oh, your 'friend' is here. We'll get going now." As their other friends noticed me approaching them, they left like I'm some contagious virus.
How rude.
"Took you long enough. So, you got our drinks?"
"I do." They're not even thanking me.
If I can only talk to Lynn right now, I'd be asking: 'Do you really consider them as friends?'
If I knew long ago that she was this lonely, I could've made her change school and taken her under my wing. Not that I'm some famous guy at school who has a lot of friends, but I think my company there is much better than this. Though it's not like she'll ever want to get involve with me. My twin sister Lynn hates me after all.
Well... it's her business, not mine... however...
"How about we eat lunch all together again? I bet you missed eating with us." Haley suggested.
They actually stopped hanging out with me during lunch to join another group of kids. I was always alone during lunch time, not that I hate it, I actually prefer it that way since they won't bother me with their non-stop requests.
"Sure. I'm fine with that." Must be nice if I can refuse without any restraint. A girl like Haley should never get refused, being a target of an ugly bully like her will make my life here like hell. "Great! Then buy us the usual meal set later."
When lunch arrived, I fetched their lunches right away and sat on the same table as them. But they weren't pleased to see me eat my meal. "Woah, you bought the most expensive meal set again! Oh wait. Are you pouring all of your allowance for this week just to eat that?"
Does she really need to raise her voice!? Many people were already looking at her because of that. She's really trying to get a lot of attention. Pathetic.
"N-No. I—"
"Or is someone giving you loads of money!? You must have a sugar daddy so you could buy such unnecessary things, hahaha!" This girl is really making me look bad infront of other people just because she's jealous!
Whispers about me began to start everywhere. And some people began to refer to me as a whore. Did they just believe what this bitch said!?
"You..." In this situation, what will Lynn do?
Is she going to stay silent? Will she let these fucking bitches humiliate her like it's nothing?!
"...does it upset you?" I asked.
She thought I was going to runaway from embarassment, it was an obvious thought on her face. But she was taken aback when I remained calm to talk to her.
"What?... did you say something?"
"I asked if I upset you?... are you upset because I can afford such luxurious meal, and you can't?"
I'm sorry Lynn. I can't stay silent or runaway. I maybe not smart and strong like you, but I'm not as hell of a pushover when it comes to petty fights like this!
"Huh? You must be crazy if you think I'm jealous just because of expensive food. I can afford it just like you, but I'd rather spend money more wisely unlike you." She laughed uncomfortably.
"Yeah right, you just can't accept the fact that I got more money than you." Slapping facts at her face is great!
"You bitch! A poor girl like you can never afford something expensive! Not long ago, you had to work your ass off from all those part time jobs so you can keep up with us! You definitely sold your body for money since you need a lot just to make yourself look good!!" Her words are already exposing her jealousy.
I imitated her laugh to mock her greatly. "Making up stories won't get you anywhere. And who would be a fool to believe something that is entirely made up by your extremely poor imagination?—" before I can say more. A cup of water was already spilled on my face.
