Chapter 4: An Eventful Morning 01

Boing! Boing! Boing! Boing!" I opened my eyes. I was laying down on open grassland. Surrounded by a flock of white wooled fluffy sheep with the warm and bright sun glowing in the clear sky. The sheep were doing bouncing about, circling me.

"That looks fun, I want to be a sheep too." I looked down at myself and noticed I too was a sheep.

"Woah! Really! How did this happening?" I inspected myself.

Suddenly the flock of sheep began bouncing in a line towards somewhere. Before, it was as if they were waiting for me. Going with the moment I joined the line of sheep, bouncing along with them across the grassland. It was really fun. The soft wind blew across our fluffy fur which looked like the waves of the ocean from a distance.

"Boing! Boing! Boing! Boing!" As we bounced together a poem came to my mind.

Bouncing sheep, bouncing sheep,

What a dream to have sleep.

When the week has beat,

And joy is weak,

Bounce, bounce with dreamy sheep.

"Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!" My alarm rang loudly.

"Huh! Oh, it was a dream." I jolted awake from my calming dream. "That was a sweet dream. I really enjoyed that."

It was the weekend. The glorious weekend. No work, just time for me to relax. Nothing can go wrong with the weekend. Absolutely nothing can go wrong with the weekend. That's right, my weekend is going to be stress-free. After all, stress makes you age faster.

I guess the first thing I should do this weekend is fully unpacking my boxes. I had been so busy I never had the time to unpack properly.

"GAH!" I yawned as I got out of bed, then stretched to rid the tiredness.

"First things first. Fixing my bed, as any neat person would." As I lifted my sleeping sheet I saw a little preschool boy sleeping naked. Out of pure fright and shock, I covered him with the sheet. It was safe to say my morning wasn't going to be as stress-free as I had hoped.

I calmly sat down on the floor and at that moment a barrage of questions and scenarios hit me all at once. "Whose child is this? Where did he come from? How long has he been here? Why is he here?" I queried the situation.

"Did I sleepwalk and kidnap a child? No way, that's impossible I wouldn't do that in my sleep. Would I?" I questioned myself.

"There was a time in college when I did all my laundry in my sleep and walked to the store and came back with potato chips and a bottle of hot sauce," I remembered.

"So using that line of thinking, is me kidnapping a child in my sleep impossible?" I questioned myself even more.

"If so, that would mean I broke into someone's home, stole a child, and kept him hostage in my home naked. THAT'S FOUR ILLEGAL ACTS!" I concluded.

"Oh no! I'm actually going away for good this time and I'll never return to society again." I felt my sanity slipping away bit by bit.

"My youth! I just started enjoying life it can't end like this, please. If I run away now I could probably reach the countryside before tomorrow. I can't waste any time, I'll have to start running now."

"YOU IDIOT!" I slapped myself in the face out of anger. "If you run you'll make yourself look even more suspicious and you'll definitely go to jail no questions asked."

"A better decision is I'll come up with an excuse, something like Oh my, I found this baby outside freezing to death so I gave him a place to sleep." I nodded to myself proud of that excuse.

"That's good enough but that doesn't answer the huge question of WHY IS HE N*KED?!" I shouted internally.

"Wait a minute, did I? No! Impossible! Never in a million lifetimes would I do that to a child but what would someone else think if they walked in right now?" I questioned myself again.

"THEY WOULD THINK I DID THAT!" I grabbed my head with both hands and eyes wide.

"Oh, God! I can see the electric chair already, my mom wouldn't even be crying anymore she would just be looking at me in my final moments disgusted and disappointed."

I began losing my mind again. "Mom, please believe me I didn't do anything, I'm innocent. I really am, trust me!"
