Chapter 1: Prologue

This is the story of a girl, just barely 21. She met a man more beautiful than any she had ever seen, one that made her heart flutter.
It wasn't normal for her. She wasn't normal either. She was a witch with a heritage more confusing and complicated than what the future held for her.
Do you know what's worse than her falling in love with a stranger? Her finding his eye
And he did. He so fucking much did.
The girl had no idea of what she was putting herself into when she decided to approach that boy. His eyes glinted and she saw the fires in them.
'Hello' she said, sexily.
And it was oh so sexy.
'Who are you?' she had asked him after the mind-blowing sex.
No human could keep up with a witch.
'Luther'
'No, I mean what are you?'
'The devil's son'
Aghast and scared the girl left as fast as she could.
But soon enough she realized something. Something terrible.
It couldn't have been his, could it?
He was an angel's son and angels can't reproduce with non-angel blood carriers.
But alas she was what humans called pregnant and tried to hide the child as much as she could.
While in her 6th month she was caught and dragged to hell.
Gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Jenevieve is what she called her.
'Take her away, its a girl' the devil had screamed
'Noooo' the pain in the girl's voice was raw and so real. It etched through the hallways and shook the room.
'You can't take her away from me' she screamed with a definite authority that she didn't feel. 'Please' she continued with a whimper.
'Is that really what you want?' the devil had asked.
'Yes'
'Fine then. Are you ready to make a deal with the devil?'
'Anything'
'I will let you keep her for 9 years. You can decide to deposit her wherever you want. For that mercy, you will marry my Luther.'
'Marrying Luther? Why would you want that?' she interrupted him. She couldn't believe that the devil would want that out of everything.
'Shut up and let me explain'
She nodded her head helplessly.
'I need a rat. Someone who I can control and will tell me all about what's going on in Luther's head. If he is planning a rebellion.' as an afterthought he continues 'After all I did that to my father'
He wanted me to spy on his son.
If I could hold my daughter for that price, I would do it.
'Yes' I said.
'Yes what?'
'I will do it, just let my daughter live.'
She lived her days only for her daughter, loving and caring for her, knowing that her days are limited.
You would think Luther ignored their existence, but sadly that was just a dream. He was an abusive piece of shit towards both the mother and Jenevieve.
The girl wanted nothing more than to find the perfect family for her daughter.
A timid wife with a wild past and an abusive husband.
What happened to Jenevive? No one but three people knew. Not even me. The girl, the devil, and another. No one but the girl knows who the third person is.
