Chapter 3: The True Vampire Bride Ch 1 Part 1

Chapter 1

I looked down from a top the walkway as I continued to ponder on what I should do. His statement had thrown me completely off. I turned and looked toward the two that had accompanied me questioningly as though they might answer right away. They just looked at me and shrugged their shoulders as they were at a loss of what to do themselves. I just stood there momentarily as I took in a few deep breaths to calm myself down some once again. Though it appeared to have no effect for me.

Kaida Endo: (Looking to my friends with worry in my eyes…) "What the hell should I do this is serious? I am not completely equipped to deal with this at all. What do you think I should do? I mean their vampires, but they are still talking to us with some level of respect."

Kaido Enoch: (With just as puzzled a look on his face as my own…) "We should let the Village Chief know right away. There is no other choice in the matter."

Kaida Endo: (With a nod of my head, I could not help but to agree…) "You are right. Someone needs to go tell the chief and be quick about it. I am totally out of my element with this situation."

I looked at my other friend with a nod of my head, jumping on his horse, he darted off with a fast pace toward the village. The dust being kicked up from his horse, rolling back in our faces as the wind blew. I looked to my remaining friend with a stern look, with a hard resolve I then faced toward the Vampires once again. It was then that the main leader spoke once again for the group.

Botan Date: (Looking up at me with pleading eyes…) "Please we must speak. You are, without a doubt, the queen we have long been searching for. It has been many, many years in the quest to find the bloodline."

Kaida Endo: (Looking down, I contorted my face with surprise and distain…) "Queen?! Why on earth would you call me queen? I am a human. I am no VAMPIRE. I am not sure what exactly you are going on about."

Botan Date: "All will be explained once we speak, it is most urgent that we do so. You are part of a bloodline that we have searched for far too long. We are taking more than just a few years; we are talking hundreds of years."

As I was further puzzled by this development, my friend just looked up at me. My confusion was building even more as I tried to process what exactly was going on. Each passing second seemed to take forever as me and my friend tried to figure anything out. We were both at a complete loss in this situation, we had never even had this scenario as a possibility in our many drill practices.

Kaido Enoch: (Looking at her with worried eyes…) "Are we going to be okay? Please answer me. Say something, anything?"

He reached up, shaking me almost violently as I could only look at him with a mix of worry and puzzlement. Far too shocked with far too many questions reeling in my mind like tangled vines warping through a fence. Questions I did not have the answers for. All that kept going through my mind in intervals, was "what should I do?" After a few moments, I turned to my friend.

Kaida Endo: (Pulling myself together some, I looked at my friend…) "Go and see if our friend made it to the chief. Then bring the village chief and whoever the chief thinks needs to be here for this. And be quick about it. This far surpasses our negotiating abilities."

Kaido Enoch: (A stern look on his face with a hint of relief…) "Yes, I'm on it. I will be as quick as I can."

With a firm nod, he then jumped on his horse and rode full speed toward the village. Yet another huge pile of dust flying behind him as he rode at full gallop. The only sound that could be heard was the hoofbeats of the horse as he disappeared from sight. The wind whipping the dust at me once again as my friend's figure melted into it. I then turned to look down upon the Vampire Lord. A whirlwind of confusion still reeling in my mind before starting to speak to him once more.

Kaida Endo: (I looked down with and spoke with a determined tone…) "I have sent word to our chief; they will be here within a few hours. Please do set up your camp roughly a quarter mile back from the gate as a precaution. I wish to ensure the safety of my people."

He then looked up at me with a big smile nodding his head in acknowledgment. He abruptly returned to his horse turning toward his garrison. He yelled in a loud voice to quell any doubt of misunderstanding among his men.

Botan Date: "Well then, as you have heard, please fall back quarter to half mile back. I will then be coming back here with the other Lords to speak with their chief. It is a simple enough request."

A loud murmuring erupted throughout the ranks that were lined up. Light murmurs of disbelief that we were speaking were spreading like a wildfire. Before I knew it a cry of, "why would we listen to a human" burst forth from somewhere in the lineup. Next thing I knew, all four Vampire Lords were standing in front of them screaming practically at the same time. "We, your vampire lords, have agreed to a meeting. If any more complaints are heard, you will be turned to ash where you stand. Our business is most dire." I was totally dumbfounded as to what I had just witnessed. It was though all the stories that I was told about vampires seemed to be wrong as to what I was personally witnessing. I was unsure on how to react to them after seeing how they were behaving. And for whatever reason, I found it thoroughly fascinating. I feared I was just standing there in a daze looking a fool momentarily. After a few moments, they calmed down and began to go back to the distance agreed upon. Only a few members each remained behind for the vampire lord's protection. I breathed a huge sigh of relief as their figures seemed to get smaller into the distance. For now, at least, things could be taken easy. Around the same time the vampire lords started to speak among themselves about the encounter. And the conversation was clearly about me for whatever reason. I just slumped down with my back against the fence, staring into the distance as I tried to figure out what to do. All I could hear was the overzealous utterings of all the vampire lords as I sat there with my face buried in my knees.
