Chapter 13: WATER TOWN
Simon was about to leave the guild when he overheard something "Are your preparation complete" goblin slayer said with a dull voice
"yup we are all ready to depart to water town goblin slayer-san" priestess said
Simon walk up to them and ask "I overheard that your going to water town am I right?"
"Yes" goblin slayer said
"then how about going their together I'm also going their as well. you know what they say the more the merrier" Simon said
"can we even trust him he look menacing with that armor of his" the high elf whispered to the priestess
"don't worry we can trust him right goblin slayer-san"
"Indeed"
"if Mr. goblinslayer trust him then I too will trust him" the lizard priest said
"as long as we don't have to pay for it then I'm in" the dwarf shaman said
"fine. hmph" the high elf said
"then follow me the carriage is not far from here oh their are merchants that I'm going to escort there also" Simon said leaving the guild. the group followed him outside everyone was surprised (except for goblin slayer) by Kiba and Tsume who was pulling the carriage Simon entered the carriage "hop in. we have a long way to go"
the group was hesitant but goblin slayer entered the carriage so the rest followed him they left the town they are now traveling towards water town "um Simon-san may I ask you a question?" the priestess ask
"sure what is it?"
"um are those Dire wolf your companion? and are you sure its fine that no one is driving the carriage"
"yup. their name are Tsume and Kiba. Tsume is the blue-ish one and the gray one is Kiba and for your second question yes we will be fine I know what I'm doing"
"then that eagle in your shoulder is your pet too?" the high elf ask
"yup this little fella name is Melo and this sleepyhead next to me is Caine" Simon said petting Caine
"c-can I pet it?" the high elf ask
"sure" Simon tap the tap the table Melo on it *prrt* the high elf pet Melo in the head it gave off a happy sound
"he likes you" Simon said
"so cute" the high elf and the priestess have stars in their eyes

Caine lick Simon in the face to wake him up "thanks buddy" he look outside and saw water town
"wake up sleepy heads we have arrived" Simon wake up the rest except for goblin slayer who is awake and checking his equipment
"so...that's water town" the priestess said
"halt!" the guards stop them from entering
"how can I help you good sir" Simon ask
"we are sorry to say this but you can't bring your carriage inside we fear that your two dire wolf will make a commotion inside the town" one of the guard said
"even if I show you this?" Simon brought out a piece of paper with a seal at the bottom
the guard was surprised but he thinks for a second "wait here we will inform the duke that you have arrived please wait here"
"welp it seems we have to separate here"
"sure" goblin slayer agreed as he walk out
"thanks for the free ride red head" the dwarf shaman thanked Simon
"thank you for having us Mr.Crimson knight" the lizard priest bowed
"thank you" the priestess thank him
"t-thanks and when we return can you cook that thing from yesterday" the high elf said then walked away
the merchants that he escorted here approach him "thank you for escorting us. here's the 600 gold as the reward and here's another 100 gold its extra for the food you cooked us"
"nah its no big deal"
[10 minutes later]
simon is playing with his pets when several people approach him he looked back and saw a man wearing an expensive suit "ahh you must be the famous Crimson knight I've heard a lot about you. your quite popular at your town....ahh where are my manners my name is Duke Vicar Danyau I'm the one that hired you and it seems that you have a quite an interesting companions" Vicar said while looking at Tsume and Kiba
"you humble me with words Duke I am but just a lowly adventurer who works for quick money I am honored to meet you Duke"
"AHAH anyway enough with the formalities I'll give you a quick rundown on what your going to do so you can rest. you are going to carry my family's name at a tournament that will be held in three days I don't care if you didn't win just reach 5th place or above" Vicar said
"then I should take my leave I'm quite tired today Duke. you don't have to worry about anything Duke I'll make sure that I'll get first place" Simon said leaving to go to an inn. after checking in he left the carriage in the inn so he can explore the town freely
ten minutes of walking around he spotted a blacksmith he entered the shop he looked around the shop and copying everything that got his attention but one particular armor got his attention "how can I help you" a woman ask Simon and behind her is a man making a sword
"umm how much for that armor *points at the armor*"
"umm are you sure you about it. of course I'm not judging you but based on your build and weapon you need the opposite of that armor the more armor you have the more you can tank attacks"
"ahh I know where your going. but I'm only going to give it to someone" Simon lied
".....ahahah I'm very sorry" the woman embarrassingly said
"no need to apologise. anyways how much is it"
"the armors leather is made out of a shadow panther which makes you harder to be detected and the plates are made out of light material its price tag is 600 gold coin" the woman explained
Simon pulled out a sack of coins. inside are exactly 600 gold coin the woman packed the armor so Simon can carry it he left the shop and continue to look around the town he bought a lot of books he send them to his room at the inn. he explored the town more after night fell he went towards the guild nearby to check the quest board
as he entered the guild he saw goblin slayer talking to the high elf he approached them
"ahh what a coincidence" Simon said
"what are you doing here?" the high elf ask
"I'm just going to take a look at the board to make some cash grab while I'm here" Simon said looking at the board he saw one particular quest that got his attention
"ahh let see what is this 'kill a huge albino alligator deep in the sewer for 1500 gold coin'"
"ahh that we just reported it we found it while killing goblins"
"so you know where is it at?"
"yup"
"then can you take me their?" simon ask
"if he agrees"

"sure" goblin slayer said
"then that's great where are we going to meet tomorrow" after talking where to meet goblin slayer and the high elf left goblin slayer said he has something to buy first
simon sat down he ordered his favorite dish but before he can eat a couple of adventure sat beside him
"well well look what we have here boys a country bumpkin" a bold man said
"what do you want"
"well you see we call our self the people that protect the weak and it seems that you are new here so how about we protect you while you are here we don't want the reputation of our beloved city to decrease am I right boys?"
"yeah" six other adventure said. other adventure are looking at them some are ready to intervene but when the leader look at them they turn a blind eye
simon ignored them and continued eating this made the leader of the group pissed so he flipped the table the rest was about to gang up on Simon when he pulled out one of his big ass sword and shoving it into the Leaders mouth
"WHAT THE FUCK was that for. if you don't want to die buy me a new one or we can do this the hard way choose wisely" one of the goons was about to attack him from behind but Simon grab him and started choking him the others was about to attack Simon when he choke him harder and shoving his sword further
"aw swowwy" the leader pled for forgiveness
Simon let go both of them "waitress get me another one make sure this Fucker pays for it"
