Chapter 3: My So Called Prince Charming
We dated in secret for a few months before I told my parents. He had that calmness about him that made me relaxed and trust him more than any other guy. It was confusing for me, a girl that felt unprioritized in everyone's life.
So are I am falling for this guy and giving this guy my heart. I remember the day that my dad asked about him. I had just got my exam results and I was first in class, he asked me to introduce my boyfriend to him so I agreed.
They met a few days later and I was scared about how it might turn out. Surprisingly it went pretty well. They got along so well that he is the only guy he calls his son in law but I'm getting ahead of myself.
We celebrated Valentine's Day, birthdays, Christmas days and every other holiday together. We talk about our future, past and present. I told him my deepest darkest secret so I was confused when things went left.
I remember the day he came over and we were using the computer. He asked me to use Facebook to check his messages. He started talking about his relationship with one of his ex-girlfriends and he suggested that I talk to her. For god sakes he left me talkin to her that night.
While scrolling through his conversation with her I saw something that made me feel unimportant all over again. I message you wrote to his ex-girlfriend saying that he loves her. No I know some people will say that it's not that bad, but you will have to understand a girl that has been through all that drama and has trust and anger issues seeing that.
I broke up with him the same night. I was hurting so much just thinking about him telling her those three words while we were together and it was all that was on my mind. I kept asking myself "why? What was the reason? Was I not good enough? Was I too damaged?". Completely shattered my trust in him.
