Chapter 16: The creatures have animal babies?

After coming to the realisation that not all the monsters will be the same, John started wondering what other monsters will look like. If they are all different does that mean only one kind of breed of the monsters can shape shift? He was really thinking about everything. Kasandra saw that he was in a deep state of thinking and she didnt want to disturb him instead she was asking the boys what they thought would happen to the town. They just told her that it would go to ruins and that the monsters might end up destroying all the buildings and houses. As much as she didnt want to believe that would happen, after seeing everything that happened so far she was convinced that things would just get worse. She still tries to remain positive during this whole "apocalyptic times". The boys wanted to ask John some questions regarding him being a scientist. As they were about to approach John, he stood up and told everyone in the house that he thinks that some of the monsters were mating and that's how they all became so different from the one's they created in the lab. At first they were confused until they realised that could be a reason to why that last creature they saw was a wolf looking one. Then they had the chance that they could just be going crazy from staying inside and basically doing nothing except hiding, but they just went with what John said and tried to convince themselves that they are not crazy. John saw that they were still abit confused about what he just said so he explained deeper and said "When we,the scientists, created the creatures we knew exactly how they looked like but now as u all clearly have seen some creatures do not look like the one's we created so i have come to the conclusion that some of them decided to mate and thats how these one's look different". After his explanation they finally understood what he was trying to say. The boys also came to that conclusion, but Kasandra had something to say and that was " John what you are saying could be one possibility but i thought that it could be that the creatures were mating with normal animals, hence the reason why that creature looked more like a wolf". John was very surprised that someone actually came up with a possiblity that is stronger then his. He was even alittle embarrassed that her theory made more sense. Even tho he was dying of embarrassment he had to admit that her theory was actually way more believable than his. Kasandra saw that he was abit embarrassed so she started giggling. Even the boys were shocked that her theory added up way more then John's theory. After thinking really hard about yhe the two theories, Kasandra's one was the one that made more sense. So they came to that conclusion that the creatures mated with normal animals. If they did with what type of other animals did they mate with? Do they need a specific type of animal? They had all those questions in their heads but they could never really know the answers to those questions. All they could do know was just try to not get killed by them. As much as John wanted to end all this creature nonsense, they learned that there are baby breeded creatures that they dont even know what they are capable of. They could be more dangerous or they could be harmless. Either way they didnt want to take a chance to find out which one they are. Instead they thought it was best to think more and to learn some basics if they encounter a creature. So that was the plan that they had. Little did they know of what was going to happen.
