Chapter 4: Timeskip-kun, Fighting, Dying.

For the 1st year,
After Dante got a job as a personal chef, he continued to live in the otaku-cafe and watch 'One Piece' for a year. Nothing eventful happened, but he continued to practice cooking everyday... the only difference is he doesn't get forced into practising, he loves cooking but not when it's against his will. He went to the grandma's restaurant to eat her ordinary food, mainly to visit her though.

For the 2nd year,
Dante finished watching till the current episode of 'One Piece' but now, he doesn't know what to do coz he only planned to casually watch it in the first place but he got to engrossed into watching that he forgot to think about what to do for his future. As he was about to close the 'KissAnime' tab, he forgot that it's not just 'One Piece', there's a lot more anime in the website, curiously he checked the other anime... just to 'take a look'.
But 5 hours later, he's now on the 10th episode of 'Naruto'. After watching, he visited the grandma and told him that she's going to close the restaurant for a while and to travel and liver her life to the fullest, Dante bid her farewell and expressed his concerns of travelling alone. After bidding farewell, Dante continued to watch 'Naruto'.

For the 3rd year,
After 'accidentally' finishing 'Naruto', Dante was slightly ashamed that he again, forgot to contemplate about his future. But he did not regret it, like 'One Piece', 'Naruto' has its own charm which attracted Dante. After thinking for a while... Dante decided that he must watch all the anime that interest him, then he will contemplate about his future. But before that, he will continue to practice his cooking.
If only he knew that once he watch anime, the urge to watch will never end. ('Evil Laugh')😈

For the 4th year,
Dante is now a full-fledged otaku, he watched all the anime that interest him. The only thing he didn't watch is 'Boku no Pico'. Because of the countless review about the anime, he stayed away from it so, his mind isn't fully corrupted.
After watching the animes that interest him, he wanted the anime companies to hurry the f*ck up on the episodes. While complaining, he remembered that there's manga, and anime are only slow because of animating it. Reluctant to read mangas, he still read it for the advanced stories. Reading uncomfortable at first, but he slowly got attracted to the unique charm of mangas. Now his journey to read all the manga that interest him starts now. But of course, he continued practising.

For the 5th year,
Dante continued watching as well as reading animes and mangas. One day, one of his otaku friends online suggested that he go and experience an anime expo, then thinking that it might be fun, Dante went to his first anime expo and he absolutely loved it! He participated in small events, watched beautiful cosplayers and conversed with cultured people. When Dante was about to leave, he first bought many souvenirs till his hands cannot carry anymore. After that, he went home to do some otaku activities (Reading, Watching). He continued to practice his cooking after his otaku activities.

For the 6th year,
Dante discovered the charm of gaming, he played a lot of strategic games and his favourites were (D.O.T.A, League of legends, StarCraft and etc.). Of course, he played other type of games too. He discovered that while watching people play in 'Twitch', he was much better than playing than them. He still do his otaku activities, but he plays games as well. He continued practicing his cooking.

For the 7th year,
As usual; going to anime expos, games, animes, mangas and cooking. But Dante recently watched movies as well as TV shows and it quickly became one of his thing. Because of slow episode/chapter release, he almost watched all the decent animes as well as read almost all the decent mangas. He is now famous in 'Twitch' as one of the best players in his generation. He also went to other fun expos like; comic expos, gaming expos etc.
Due to practicing cooking every day, he has enough experience to properly cook all dishes on his vast cooking knowledge, even then he continue to practice.

For the 8th year,
At night, when Dante was going home from an anime expo, he was walking through an alleyway when a bunch of drunk men mistook him from another person and beat the sh*t out of him. After waking up from the beating, he went home limping and slept heavily. Waking up uncomfortably, Dante cursed the drunk men's ancestors and thought about the 'fight' that took last light. Dante realised that he needs to learn how to fight, then Dante searched the internet for martial arts studios. After booking a martial arts class, Dante continued to do his otaku activities and practice cooking.

For the 9th year,
Dante is now proficient with 1 years' worth of martial arts training, but he remembered 'Sanji' from 'One Piece' and agreed with him not using his hands to fight as a chef's hands are his/her life. So, he mainly trained in; (Muay Thai, Karate, Kickboxing, Taekwondo and Capoeira), of course he is not an expert in any of them but as he watched videos of UFC highlights in YouTube. He wants to find his own fighting style, so he is trying to incorporate different fighting styles for his own. Let's not forget that Dante is a genius, when he was a baby, he was running in age 1 and a half while he started playing with a wooden blunt knife at 3. So, he quickly comprehended the advantages and disadvantages of each fighting style. Dante is slowly creating his own style by minimizing each disadvantages and maximizing each advantages, so it can be suited in his own body. Dante doesn't forget about his otaku activites and continue to practice cooking.
(A/N: I don't know if playing with a blunt knife at 3 yrs old is considered a genius, but it's a fanfic so it's probably fine.. For those that question that he is fast incorporating different fighting styles, I'm sorry but I have yet to master the Dao of bull*sht 😂. Please play along 🤣.)

For the 10th year,
Dante has now 2 years' worth of martial arts training, and he already created his own fighting style, he just needs to refine it and train. Of course, even without his own fighting style, he's qualified to teach the different fighting styles that he knew because he knows all the moves and has enough fighting experience in each styles.
Other than fighting, reading novels and fanfics is added to Dante's life. He continued his otaku activities and cooking but recently lamenting on how nice it would be if he's one of the victims of truck-kun. Just reincarnate and live as his favourite anime characters, wouldn't it be wonderful? He is intrigued by fanfictions, changing the story by your will? Just thinking about it screams of fun. Novels are interesting too, especially those wuxia/xanxia novels where the concept of immortality is reachable and it's pretty fun imagining cultivators fighting.

After reading a novel, I saw an ad that said 'MasterChef' will be airing next month, I thought about it for a few minutes and decided to participate in it. I mean, I want to know if this competition just for show or are there truly experts participating in it?

One month later, I have prepared enough for this day and ready for a cooking battle. I see hundreds of people lining up in four groups and each group has a small booth where I presume chefs can sign up. I picked a random group and lined up.
After signing up for the competitions, the people in the booth informed me that there is a few elimination rounds tomorrow as there are hundreds of people here.

The elimination rounds was hell'a boring as most of the chefs are bad at cooking and only here for fame. After the elimination rounds finished, I found that there's a total 24 of us left, so the crowd enthusiastically clapped at us and the host with a mic informed us that we are going to live in a small mansion and will be broadcasted in live TV when there's a competition.

(General P.O.V)
In Los Angeles, CA
Inside a sound-stage studio, a competition takes place where you can see a large kitchen area with several cooking stations which is overlooked by a balcony, a well-stocked pantry, a freezer/fridge area and a fine-dining restaurant/seating dining area room used for certain challenges. There are two cameras showing the image of two people.
The first is a 20-year-old beautiful girl with her hands raised up, she gracefully swirls the oil in the vegetables. The audience stared at awe on how cool she was.
The second is a 25-year-old youth who is fiercely chopping ingredients with a knife, but the weird thing is, the ingredients that he chopped are so precise that people with OCD can only bow to him. Yes, the 25-year-old youth is our handsome protagonist, Dante.
After defeating a lot of competitors, he realised that there is only 4-5 people worth defeating. Dante is now at the finals and the girl beside him is one of the people worth defeating.
10 mins later,
The timer stopped and both Dante and the girl took their dishes to the 12 judges. The camera captured their aesthetic faces.
The judges voted and 5 voted for the girl and 7 voted for Dante. Dante gave no reaction as if he knew he will win, but the girl is slightly emotional as tears swells from her eye. Dante comforted her then he went ahead to grab the trophy, he got the mic from the host and started his speech.
After his speech, he called a cab and proceeds his way back to the otaku-cafe. After going back to the otaku-cafe he realised that he was a bit hungry so he muse for a moment then decided to check if the grandma is back and reopened her restaurant.

(Dante P.O.V)
While walking towards the granny's restaurant, I saw a bunch of familiar faces that can let me treat my itchy foot. Yes, they we're the bunch of drunken men who I 'fought valiantly'. I followed them for a while and when there was no one else except us, I stepped in their way and without warning, I used a move similar to Capoeira and dropped my hands to the floor then use it as a spring and kicked two guys with my feet. The two got kicked in the head and fell on the floor, probably unconscious.
The other two guys were stunned for a bit then rush towards me to support their friends, but as they were stunned, I already moved and backflipped backwards two times so that they can't reach me, seeing that I got further away, they upped the speed and rush towards me faster, Fools! I thought, through my eyes, it looks like they were moving slowly. I rush towards them then faked a kick on one of them in his ribs, it worked, and the guy covered his ribs. I quickly took the leg that I used to fake then I kick the guy's head with my other foot, which got him unconscious.
Meanwhile the last guy was using this chance to sneak attack me, as he was about to punch my head, I ducked to the floor and used my hands as a spring to spring and kick using both of my legs forwards his ribs.
*Crack*
A few ribs broke then he flew from the impact of my kick for a few metres. Sighing on how cool I am, I remembered that kicking their as*es only took 7 seconds. Clapping my clothes to get the dust of, I called the ambulance and told them I noticed people laying on the floor then I told them the address. After ending the call, I made my way again to the granny's restaurant.
Walking towards the restaurant, I continued to walk, then when I was near the restaurant, I saw the granny with heavy bags in her hand while was crossing the street.
*HONK!*
Then suddenly, I saw an out of control truck speeding towards the granny. I didn't have time to think when my body automatically reacted and rushed in full force to push the granny away... just as I was about to push her... it was too late.
*SMASH*
*CRACK*
*SPLASH*
With blurry eyes, the last thing that I saw was the granny laying on the ground with blood seeping out from her head... my last thoughts were ' F*ck you! Truck-kun!!! '
