Chapter 77: A last achievement

It seemed to be a normal day, but in truth it was the day before a new calamity.
Ben had completely healed over the time. With his body at full-health, Ben was aching to fight.
Today, he was flying to Turkey!
Ben lied to his parents that he would fly again because of work and they happily brought him to the airport.
In the whole flight, his body attracted a lot of attention.
The few talks he had with other passengers were cut short due to his cold and short answers. It wasn't that Ben was immune against women as he was actually quite weak against them.
Women with strong personalities and great attirance had always been the kryptonite of Ben. Next to them he would often begin to lose confidence and try to not act special in any ways.
In a sense, he was like most inexperienced boys at young age.
With the only difference that compared to most boys his age, he didn't even kiss somebody.
Even with the memories of his last life and his fighting experience, he still had this weakness.
The only reason why the women didn't affect him in the least and were mostly annoying to him, was because of his mentality to fight and kill.
The demeanor he had in times of crisis was completely different than he would normally be. What exactly changed was difficult to point out from the outside, but it was like he couldn't see most aspects of life anymore and was just waiting to kill.
Ben arrived at 4pm at the konya airport, he then went to buy a big axe in the nearest OBI and finished checking in at a 3 Star-hotel.
Having successfully transported the axe into his hotel-room, Ben went to eat at a restaurant. His day ended up being uneventful like most normal citizens.

The next day at 4 am an anomaly happened in konya.
Many small white holes appeared suddenly around the city.
Monster came out!
One hour later, the city was fully awake. A loud bomb-alarm was ringing loudly, which had been repurposed to a monster-alarm. Police cars and other cars were blocking the street. Panicking citizens were running through the city.
The police officer tried to give a sense of security, but it was as clear as daylight to everyone that they themself feared the monster and that could only slow down the incoming threat.
A police officer could at best kill a low-leveled monster, so with the amount of monsters which had been sighted they were waiting for their deaths.
But, even in the face of death the police officer didn't run for their life.
While the slaughter and the evacuation was proceeding, one person hadn't moved out of his bed. It was… Ben Lupus!!!
Even with the loud noises outside of the room, he seemed to relax on his bed.
Laying down with a müsli bar in his hand. Slowly eating like it was any other normal day.
A hotel employee had already tried to warn him, but the evacuation was not the reason for his travel. Staying calm and not saying anything, the employee had no choice but to leave without him.
Half an hour later, the street became much calmer.
Ben jumped out of his bed and looked outside of the window.
Nothing. Just the normal chaos after an evacuation. The street seemed abandoned. A cat rapidly traversed the street! Then a lonely man was running out of his house!
Seeing that the streets were mostly abandoned, Ben prepared himself.
Just to stay inkognito, he put a mask on his face. It was a white halloween mask with big holes for the mouth and eyes. On the front stood the word „GOD", the white mask had red and black colors to take after typical facial traits.
Ben didn't really like the design, but it didn't impact his hearing, sight or breathing, so he ended up buying it.
Taking his newly bought axe into his hand, he exited his room.
The hotel was void of any life. Many things were lying on the ground.
With every step Ben took he could suppress less of his excitement.
A smile slowly creeped on his face, but it didn't make him more creepy from the outside. A man in sports clothes with the „Purge GOD mask" and a giant axe in his hand was more than creepy enough. Any citizen would run away screaming, when they see him walking. His muscular body only strengthened the fear people would feel.
Exiting the hotel, Ben jogged to the loudest place. There he saw a few different-looking monsters. Two were ravaging human bodies and three others were looking at him.
They didn't initiate the attack like they would normally do. Ben couldn't know their level, but he didn't stop moving to them.
Monsters all had evolved to the point that they could sense roughly the strength of their foes. Them not initiating the fight was either that they approximately had the same level or that he was stronger than them.
Ben didn't come here to wait. He started to sprint and swung his axe.
After killing all the low-leveled monsters with a few swings, Ben was thrilled.
For the first time he was the predator in the area. Killing without any restraint or any fear. The only disadvantage of being the predator was that he didn't receive as much EXP.
The first exploration was coming near. Ben had done everything until that point without taking any credits as it was too early to kill a monster as a citizen. Now that the world knew of the EXP, it wasn't strange to kill monsters with an axe. He needed an extraordinary achievement to be one of the thousands of soldiers.
The best way to show his courage and fighting ability was by killing monsters in a calamity. The Konya incident was one of the last big outbreaks of white holes.
It was famous for the many small-sized monsters.
No high-level monster was known to have appeared, but with enough quantity of monster it still ended in a carnage.
With Ben's stats and fighting experience, there was practically no danger. The attacks of the monster were easily dodged with the help of the skill.
The mask only was only needed so that not every of his moves were traced back to him. Cameras could be everywhere. If somebody saw him not helping another civilist, he would be accused at the court.
After killing various interesting weak monsters Ben finally leveled up.
´Level up!´
After adding his two points into his Stamina, Ben continued to look for monsters.
´Status open.´
