Chapter 2: 1- Project Buddies

Hazel Grace
I grab my bag and keys and walk past the bus stop and straight toward school. It was currently the fourth day of the week; Wednesday, and I was already so over school.
I walk for about 10 minutes before finally reaching the school gate. The familiar feeling of fatigue suddenly comes over so I take a second to breath and shake it off.
I walk through the hallway toward my locker with my head down until I heard the familiar buzz of my phone.
Father
We're going on a two week business trip
Don't do anything stupid while we're gone.
I roll my eyes before typing my response.

Okay....
I put my phone in my pocket about to look where I was going before my body suddenly collides with someone.
"Oh sorry."
I look up to see the one and only Skyler Wilson standing on front me scratching the back of his neck.
As in the most popular boy in school Skyler Wilson.
You idiot
"I should of looked where I was going, sorry." I say shyly and look down trying not to meet his eyes.
"I wasn't looking either..."
"Oh..."
There was a awkward silence before he decided to speak up.
"Uh.. Well class is starting in a few so...."
"Yeah..." You say awkwardly with your head down before walking toward class.

Classes went on normally and nothing interesting really happened.
...Well other than I think I saw Skyler and Hannah staring at you during lunch but I was probably imagining it.
As is anyone would notice a fat pig like you.
I sigh at my very true thoughts
I am currently not listening to some teacher who by the looks of it is teaching -ugh History
Aka. the worst subject in history

Okay it's officaial I need friends.
But who would ever want to be friends with you?
"You will be working in groups of three and only today will I make you choose your group." I snap out of your thoughts at the teachers words.
Guess I'll be working by myself.
As usual
"Project Buddies?" A cheerful voice asks.
"Uh, sure?"
Standing in front of you was Hannah Cameron and Valentina Young both wearing gorgeous smiles.
"Great." they say in sync and sit in the seats beside me.
The teacher explains what the project is about and gives us the rest of the session to talk about it with our group members.
"We should write down our individual ideas and maybe we could meet up later, around 4 and discuss them." Hannah suggests and Valentina nods her head in agreement
"Yeah, I'm so tired i don't think I'll be able to make it out of this class."
She sighs dramatically making me chuckle.
"What about you Hazel, you good with that? We could meet up at my house if you want." Hannah questions
Don't get too excited just because someone knows your name Hazel.
"Uh, sure?"
She laughs, however I were utterly confused.
"Is that all you can say." she giggle again and I blush out of embarrassment.
"I'm... sorry." I sink in your seat.
Her laugh forms into a small smile as she looks at me.
"I'm just joking."
"Your so cute!" Valentina coos while pinching my cheek. I was pretty sure my face fulfilled its dream of becoming a tomato.
I suddenly remember something.
"I don't know where you live."
"Oh uh, give me your phone."
I was a bit hesitant but gave her anyways. She typed something on it before returning it back to me.
"There, I'll text you my address later."
Just then the bell rang sigalling the end of school.
'Praise the heavens' I sing in my mind
"See you later then!!" Valentina exclaims while walking out of class.
