Chapter 12: Drastic turn of events
"Ms. Miller, why are you behaving like this now? While you, yourself walked into the hospital for getting treated?" one of the doctors questioned her
"What? I came here all myself?" Louisa asked shocked
"Yes Ms. Miller, you are here for the past one hour getting treated," they replied her
"No, I didn't. I was trapped in a dark place surrounded by German Shepherds, Ivan kidnapped me Rudy and he warned me that he will make my life hell," she yelled while her voice shacked
"Lou, listen to me you are repeating the same thing again. You are again speaking about meeting Ivan, which is nothing but an illusion," he yelled out of irritation
"I am not lying, when I was waiting for you to arrive there arrived a vehicle and I sat in it and doze off and when I woke up the first thing I saw is German Shepherds around me, I cried for help but all I got to hear is allegations against me, please believe in me," she pleaded clutching his hands in hers
"Louisa, please calm down. Doctors are here and let them treat you everything will be okay," he said patting her hands
"Don't worry we will take care of her," the doctors said to Rudy who looked worried about his friend's condition
He nodded at them and started moving
"Ruds, please stay with me. Don't leave me alone, I am scared here," Louisa cried
Rudy turned back and looked at her but the doctors signaled him to leave the room saying, "She is in safe hands don't worry"
"Why are you people lying? I know that I am not here and whatever I have experienced was truth and all of you are trying to fool me," she said weeping
"Ms. Miller, why would we lie to you? We are speaking the truth and if you please cooperate with us we will make you feel better," the senior doctor said walking towards Louisa
"No, how can I believe in you? What if I am hallucinating this too?" Louisa asked looking all the sides to observe the surroundings
"Don't shout Ms. Miller, you are at a hospital and if you don't cooperate with us we know how to get things done," he said wearing his gloves
"Don't come near me, don't do anything to me," saying that Louisa started throwing things which she found near to her
"Ms. Miller, stop it. Calm down," the doctors yelled but she kept throwing things sobbing
"Catch hold of her hands," the doctors ordered the nurses and thy immediately followed their orders
Louisa shacked her head violently and tried to free herself from their hands but the doctor has pushed the syringe into her veins which made her sedated
"Please don't this to me," Louisa said before closing her eyes as the drug took over her senses
The nurses shifted her to the side bed and the doctors checked her Blood pressure
"Keep an eye on her," they ordered a nurse before exiting the room
"How is she doing now?" Rudy asked them as soon as the doctors stepped out of the room
"She just became so violent and started throwing things on us; so having no other option left we sedated her," one of the doctors replied to him
"Will she be Okay?" he asked nervously
"We will run some tests and will let you know once the results arrive. Don't worry we are familiar with the situation, she will be alright within some time," the doctors assured Rudy
"Can I see her?" Rudy asked them
"Yes you may, but don't disturb her," they replied
"Thank you," he replied and the doctors left the place
Rudy walked inside and saw Louisa sleeping with her mouth slightly open, he walked near to her and caressed her hair
"What happened to the tigress all of a sudden? What are you worried about? What is making you so vulnerable again?" he asked her sleeping form
He saw her lips curved into a frown and he immediately made it into a smile saying, "My Lou should always be smiling"
He sat in the couch lying opposite to her bed while the nurse injected saline into her body
"Babygirl, how far will you run away?" he asked running behind her
"Will keep running until the time you get tired of catching me," she yelled as a reply
"I will never get tired of you and no matter how far you run away, I will catch and you will never be able to escape from me. I will cage you," he said sprinting fast to reach her
"Run Louisa, run; no matter how fast you run at last you will be coming back here"
"Louisa Miller tried running away from the rehab"
"Until when will you keep running? You may try to escape from the reality now, but you can't do that forever"
"You are nothing but a sin Louisa; you are a piece of shit"
"Waiting to meet you, let's execute our plan"
"Remember Louisa Miller; you will never be at peace from now on. I will make sure you pay for everything you have done"
Louisa woke up with a jerk panting hard
The nurses rushed to her side and tried calming her
Rudy ran to her and just hugged her securely from the back.
"Lou, we are okay, we are okay," he kept repeating until her panting stopped
"Rudy, they are back," she said shaking his hand
"What are back?" he asked coming forward to face her
"All the nightmares of my dark past, they are back Rudy and they are troubling me," he said looking into his eyes
"No Lou, you won't be a trouble anymore. Look at your either side we are at a hospital and they will make you all hale and healthy again. You don't need to worry about anything," he said in an assuring manner
"I don't want to be part of jokes once again. I don't want people to take their kids away from me. I don't want to go through the same shit all over again," she cried on his shoulders
"No Lou, you won't. You are thinking a little too much, which is straining your heart and is resulting in this position of yours. So try keeping your mind cool," he said rubbing her shoulders
Meanwhile, the nurse brought the doctors as Louisa woke up
"How are you feeling now Ms. Miller?" the youngest doctor from the group asked her
"Better" Louisa replied with a neutral face
"So we are at ease now?" he asked again and she nodded in response
"So if you please excuse us we will start treating her," he said looking at Rudy
Rudy immediately stepped down the bed and the doctors walked near Louisa
"How is your body feeling now?"The senior one asked
"Weak" came the reply from Louisa
They smiled at her and began their work and a message pinged on someone's mobile saying "Everything is going smooth"
