Chapter 3: Prologue
"Let's go outside for a walk you must be tired." He said as he held out his hand for her. She smiled at him, "Since when did you care if I was tired?" He retreated his hand back and walked behind her desk. He turned her chair towards him and away from her laptop, keeping his arms on the arms of her chair encaging her "Wifey are you trying to defy me again?" He said as he started leaning closer to her invading her personal space. "What if I am, my dear fiance? And did you forget that we are not married yet." She said smiling as she held his tie in her tight grip and pulled him closer.
"Maybe you deserve some punishment my little vixen." He said smirking. "Really Mr. CEO? How do you plan on punishing your assistant?" She asked smiling at him. "Hmmmmm Should I tell you?" He teased her as he removed his left arm from the arm of the chair ar ran it slowly over her lower lip which made her close her eyes. "Miss. I suggest you pay attention to your boss right now." As soon as the sentence left his mouth she opened her eyes almost instantly. And in the other moment she was picked up as he sat on the seat and made her sit on his lap. He was now laughing as he held her close to himself. "You..... You... I'll sue you." He laughed even more at his innocent vixen's statement. "Sure love. But what will you sue me for? Making my fiancee sit on my lap?" He whispered in her ear and then retreated his head back as he continued laughing. "Ugh damn you." She said crossing her arms over her chest as she turned her head away from him.
"You really need to be punished." He said smiling. "And what is my punishment? Will you beat me?" She said as she huffed in anger. He shook his head as he entangled her arms from each other and held them. She turned her gaze towards him and looked into her eyes they held some strong emotion which she couldn't describe. He looked into her eyes as he said, "Your punishment is to say I do to the priest tomorrow when he asks you if you agree to be my wife or not." This made tears make way into her eyes. She looked into his eyes and replied saying, "If this is my punishment, I gladly accept it." Hearing this tears made their way through his eyes too. They hugged each other. She was the first one to retreat back as she said, "Let's go out for a walk I am feeling tired. I'll come back and then finish the work." She got off his lap as he stood up too. He held out his hand for her and she gladly took it smiling at him as they both headed out.
Unknown to either of them that life is not a fairytale and that their destiny is still not content with all the tests they have given together. There was a person watching them from afar as he took out his phone and called someone. "They are heading out. Go for the man and make sure the lady is near enough to save him just in time but not enough to save herself make sure the speed of the car is managed you don't have to kill her under any circumstances but the injuries shouldn't be too mild too." He said. " Yes sir. " came from the other side of the phone. Hearing the reply he hung up. He had an evil smile upon his face. "Princess if I won't let me be the prince in your life. No problem but I have to play a role in your fairy tale. So I chose my role and I'll be yet another villain in your love story."
They both were walking on the pavement. He was laughing at something he said. This made her angry. Just then his phone rang. He took out his phone to look who was calling this late at night but as he took out his phone the small rock which she gifted him fell out of his pocket and rolled to the middle of the road and then stopped right there.
He picked up the call, "Hello. " He said as he walked to the middle of the road to pick up his gift. He was neither watching to his left nor to his right.
As soon as she felt he was not beside him anymore she turned to his direction to find where he was, but to her suprise she saw a car advancing towards him at full speed while he was busy talking on his phone and looking at something on the palm of his hand.
She immediately sprang towards him as she pushed him and herself came in front of the car it hit her at full speed and fled away from the spot.
As soon as he recovered from his shock. He immediately ran to his fiance leaving the phone on the road as his brother was talking. He saw her lying there blood oozing out from her head. He immediately sat close to her as he kept her eyes open. His eyes were now searching for his phone. He needed to call the ambulance. But she held him back. "Stay by me." She whispered with whatever strength was left within her. He shook his head, "You can't leave me." Tears making way through his eyes as a drop fell on her cheek.
"I love you." She said placing her hand on his cheek. He was miserable yet he leaned in her touch. "I love you too. Don't close your eyes. Someone will help us." She knew they were just possibilities. They were not even near the company as for this road it was rare for any car to pass by. She gave him one last smile as she faded into the darkness. He opened his eyes as soon as he felt loss of contact on his cheek. His heart broke that very moment he saw her lying there on his lap unconscious. In all his pain and agony gathered up in his heart he screamed her name.
"SELENA!"
