Chapter 29: Meeting Fiona and Journey to Petelburg
Fiona sent a letter to Jason for meeting and he planned to visit her next day as it was already evening. He returned to his room in pokemon center and took rest as he was tired from the battle today, he slept as soon as he fell on bed.
Next morning Jason went directly to Hotel Sky Blue and told receptionist meeting code, Fiona had already informed him about visit of a Kid who knows this code, Receptionist asked a worked in hotel to take Jason to room no. 403 of hotel.
Jason knocked door of room no. 403 and Alakazam opened it, Jason greeted him and he greeted back with smile on his face, he was really happy to see Jason, Jason saw that Fiona was sitting on a chair and reading some book.
"Hey Fiona, you asked me to meet don't you ?" Said Jason.
Fiona kept the book aside to look at the person who made this question and when she saw Jason she smiled and said, "Ahh, Jason my boy, come sit."
Jason sat on chair near Fiona's chair and for her to start. Fiona offered him some tea and cookies, when Jason became comfortable she started, "Jason you are quite good trainer, what are your plans, you can be a good Champion in future."
"No, I am planning to be a Pokemon Breeder and Researcher, I have few theory of mine which I can publish but as I am weak I can get accused of stealing it by some big researchers." Said Jason.
"What theory ? If you don't mind you can fill me a little." Asked Fiona with curiosity.
"I know about certain type which can counter Dragon types and have no effect on those, I call them Fairy type and my Kirlia is also a fairy type, though it need to be proved with many pokemons which I think have same typing and that will require research." Said Jason, keeping about dark type to himself and about some other phenomenons which are yet to be discovered.
Fiona was shocked after hearing this as everyone considered Dragon type as most powerful pokemon but if there is any type which is completely immune to dragons then they will be considered most powerful pokemons.
"How do you think about publishing it ?" Asked Fiona who was still recovering from the details she just heard from a kid who is just 10.5 years old.
"I am planning to join a Laboratory and through them I want to publish this and I will do this when I get stronger." Said Jason.
"Is there anything I can help with as I got call from President Charles of Pokemon United League head quarter which is in Kanto, they were impressed by your act in Petelburg Woods and then your battle against Maxie and he wants to support you with anything you want." Said Fiona.
"Anything ?" Said Jason.
"Yes anything which is reasonable for league to provide you." Said Fiona.
"Ok then I want unlimited raw food materials of high quality for atleast 5 years and I want to get registered under a Laboratory." Said Jason.
"5 years will be too much, we can make it 3 years." Said Fiona.
"No, you said I can get anything and this is what I want." Jason said.
Though Fiona was angered by his stubbornness but she controlled her anger and agreed with the term and said, "So 5 years Unlimited food and a position as Junior researcher in a reputed Laboratory, thats it right ?"
"No one more thing." Said jason.
"Now what." Fiona said, if it was not for Alakazam holding her this time she was going to hit Jason.
"I want a healer pokemon in team as I am planning to train harder and healer will do it best." Said Jason very Calmly.
Fiona looked at him blankly and said, "Is it final or anything else you want."
"No its final." Said Jason.
"Ok, I will arrange everything and I will contact birch who is in Littleroot town, you will be going to meet him and join his Laboratory, that is under Oak so you won't have any problem and if you have any good luck then you may meet Professor Oak as well." Said Fiona, giving Jason a hint about future meeting but Jason didn't get that.
They chatted for a while and after that Fiona asked about his next plan and he told her that he is planning to go Petelburg first and get Balance Badge, then to Oldale Town to get Mist Badge and then finally to Littleroot Town. Fiona knew that Journey from Petelburg to Oldale was for about 7-10 days and from oldale to Littleroot it was of 10 days, which was going to be one month and Oak was going to come there in 1 month and stay for a week only so she asked Jason if she can teleport him to Petelburg Town and then he can continue his Journey and Jason happily agreed for that.
Jason returned to Fiona with his backpack and pokemon, then Fiona teleported him near Northern Gate of Petelburg Town.
Petelburg Town is a beautiful town with a lake in the middle of Town and with beautiful architecture on houses around (With some slum area and some big buildings as well, making total population to 5 Millions). Jason went to Pokemon Center and booked a room for himself and after placing his stuffs in the room he left for gym in the town.
When he reached near the gym he saw a boy of age around 5-6 years playing near the gate with a Vigaroth, when that kid saw Jason he asked, "Who are you ?"
"I am Jason and I am here to register my battle appointment." Said Jason.
"But Dad is not in Gym at the moment, you can come later." Said that kid.
'Dad ? is he son of Norman ? But in anime May and Max were his children and as Roxanne is still 6 years on and when May (Age of 10 or 11) was on journey she was around 16-17 years old so its not possible that he is max.' Thought Jason.
Jason was thinking all these and looking at Kid playing infront of him in surprise, he heard someone saying, "Hey Jason what a surprise ?"
Jason turned around to look at the person who called his name, It was Norman. Jason greeted him and said, "Yes I am here to take appointment for gym battle."
"Ohh thats great, but I thought you will be here after a week, how you reached here so soon ?" Asked Norman in surprise.
"Yeah Fiona teleported me here directly." Told Jason.
"Ohh so Fiona did it, ok come inside. Ruby you also come inside." Said Norman looking at Jason and the other Kid.
'So he is Ruby ? But he was shown in Manga.' Thought Jason but went inside.
Jason met with Norman's wife Caroline and they chatted for a while where Norman was telling Caroline about Jason's battle with Maxie and how he led him to choose Charizard.
Norman then turned to Jason and asked, "Jason at what level you are now ?"
Jason was confused by the question and said, "I have 3 badges so I am at intermediate level I guess." showing his badges.
"You have 1 one star badge, 1 Two Star and 1 Three star, that means you are qualified for Advance Level, how many of your pokemon are at Mid Elite Jason." Asked Norman.
"I have, Kirlia, Sceptile and Lairon at Mid Elite Level and, Tauros and Gallade at Peak Elite level, though Sceptile can reach Peak Elite within a Month." Said Jason, Norman's Eyes were widened when he heard power level of his pokemon.
Norman said in surprise, "You have 5 pokemon who crossed Mid Elite Level and if you train harder for 6 months then I think atleast 2 of your pokemon will reach Pseudo King but you will require one more to reach Master Level."
Caroline was also surprised as she heard from Norman that this kid started his Journey only 6 months back and is only 10.5 years old.
"Jason you update your Trainer level to Advance level in Pokemon Center and we will have battle tomorrow at 11 am and this will be 4 vs 4 battle as per League policy." Norman said.
Jason who was entertaining Ruby nodded for what Norman said and went back to Pokemon Center, Caroline asked Jason to stay at their house as she saw Ruby was happy with him and Jason agreed. After updating his title he returned with his stuffs and Caroline arranged his stay in the house.
Jason have a big battle tomorrow, what will happen in his battle tomorrow ? Stay tuned for more.
