Chapter 33: Oldale Town Gym- Bug Master
Next morning Jason walked towards the Oldale Gym where he was going to get his package which was sent by Fiona, he hoped he will get the healer pokemon he asked for. His Eevee, Kirlia, Haunter and Riolu were training along with his Chimchar, Marshatomp and Gible in Pokemon center in the watch of Sceptile, Lairon and Ivysaur. Jason has also called back his Swellow and was planning to use Charmendar which was powerful in last few days and reached at Initial advance level in only 10 days training, usually it takes around two months but due to nutrition and 4 mid quality fire stones, he reached so early.
Jason's planned four pokemons were Charmendar, Scyther, Swellow and Gallade. Jason was now advanced level trainer and he had badges which were equivalent to 8 one star badges, which were 1 one star, 2 two star and 1 three star, he got the explanation about this counting from Fiona. He completed badge part of Ace Level trainer bust lacks one Pseudo King pokemon in team.
Jason reached Gym where he saw A man who was under 30's and had red curly hairs, he wore a Green attire, when he saw Jason he greeted him, "Hello. you must be Jason. I am Burgh gym Leader here."
"Hello Burgh nice to meet you." Said Jason and they both entered in the Gym and they directly went to battlefield which was a forest theme battle field, good for bug type pokemons to hide. Jason stood on his position and so did Burgh. A person who was in League attire with H in the middle of his uniform stood at the center of right side of the battlefield.
"This battle is between Burgh gym Leader of Oldale Town and Jason from Gao Village, this is official gym battle with 4 pokemons from each side, whoever defeats all of the pokemon of other side will be winner." Announced Referee.
Jason and Burgh looked at each other, 'Mom was talking too high about this kid, lets see what is so special about this pokemon' Thought Burgh.
"If you are ready, then lets start." Said Burgh and sent out his first pokemon which was Parasect.
Parasect is an orange, insectoid Pokémon that has been completely overtaken by the parasitic mushroom on its back. It has a small head with pure white eyes and a segmented body that is mostly hidden by the mushroom. It has three pairs of legs with the foremost pair forming large pincers.
Jason knew that this pokemon is dual Grass and Bug type so his Charmendar will be 4 times effective and also as he used 4 fire stones on him, that meant Charmendar was near his evolution. So he sent out his Charmendar.
"Parasect start with Sleep Powder." Said Burgh.
"Quick Charmendar use Dig." Said Jason.
A blue powder emerged from the pores in mushroom of that Parasect and surrounded the battle field, but Charmendar was quick enough to use dig on time and went under the ground.
"Charmendar come out and attack Parasect with Fire Fang." Said Jason, Charmendar came out of the ground and his teeth was covered with fire, he dashed towards parasect to attack, but when he was almost near Parasect, a yellow powder came out from Pores of Parasect and surrounded him, he flinched on the spot. That was Stun Powder and Charmendar was Paralyzed. Parasect without wasting a second attacked Charmendar with powerful Slash Attack, Charmendar was unable to move so he was continuously getting hits from Slash, Charmendar was bleeding due to many wounds from Slash.
Jason told Charmendar to use Will-o-wisp and he gathered his strength and used will-o-wisp move which badly burned Parasect and she cried in pain.
"Charmendar surround yourself with Fire, it will hurt a little but effect of Stun Powder will be gone." Said Jason. Charmendar did that and cried in pain because of fire his wounds were burning, despite being fire type.
Jason ordered Charmendar to Use Incinerate and he did that, Parasect was still in pain from burning, so she was not able to dodge the attack from charmendar and fainted from only one Powerful fire type move. (Charmendar's Fire Power was boosted because of Fire stone)
"Parasect is unable to battle, Charmendar is winner." Announced Referee. After this announcement Charmendar used Flames in air, shouting in pride for beating Parasect, a white light along with Red Circle surrounded Charmendar, after a while Charmendar was doubled in his height and Power level was also increased, he was atleast at Peak Advance Now, his muscles were increased, this was not Charmendar but his evolved form Charmeleon.
Charmeleon is a bipedal, reptilian Pokémon. It has dark red scales and a cream underside from the chest down. It has narrow, blue eyes and a long snout with a slightly hooked tip. On the back of its head is a single horn-like protrusion. It has relatively long arms with three sharp claws. Its short legs have plantigrade feet with three claws and cream-colored soles. The tip of its long, powerful tail has a flame burning on it.
Charmeleon swing his tail in Pride which raised temperature by 5-7 degrees.
"Charmeleon Calm down." Jason Shouted with rough tone, Charmeleon looked towards the direction of sound and when he saw the person who shouted he returned back to normal, (Charmendar know how powerful his trainer is, so after evolving also he respects his trainer.)
"Great your pokemon evolved, now it will be more fun." Said Burgh and send out his next pokemon, which was Pinsir.
Pinsir is a bipedal, insectoid Pokémon with a wide, dull-brown body divided into segments by thin lines. On top of its head is a large pair of gray, spiky pincers on top of its head. In its mouth are many long, flat teeth arranged horizontally and it has triangular eyes. Its legs are short and thick, while its arms are long and thin. It has three claws on each hand and foot; two of its toes face forward and one backward.
Jason continued with his new evolved pokemon. battle started with Vice Grip from Pinsir which was dodged by Charmeleon but he was still in pain from the wounds he got from Parasect. Pinsir kept using Vicegrip, Charmeleon was quick enough to dodge 7 out of 10 attacks but got hit by 3 in a row.
"Charmeleon Stand Up and use Incinerate full power." Said Jason and Charmeleon stood up and used Incinerate with full power, Pinsir was able to dodge many attacks but that fire surrounded whole battle field and burned many shrubs, Pinsir got hit by one of the powerful Incinerate, and fire around the field made it more unbearable.
"Charmeleon use Fire Fang full power." Said Jason, as pinsir was still on ground so he planned to beat it with ease. Charmeleon dashed towards pinsir and bite him with powerful Fire Fang.
"Pinsir hold on and use Storm Throw." Said Burgh, Though Pinsir was bitten he caught charmeleon's head with his one hand and picked him up, then circled him in air with full speed, in the air while Pinsir was circling, Charmeleon used another powerful Incinerate, Pinsir Cried in pain from another unbearable fire type move, he was surrounded with fire but still he kept circling charmeleon and threw him on the wall. Charmeleon fainted with swirls in his eyes.
"Charmeleon is Unable to battle, Pinsir is the winner." Announce referee. Just after the announcement, Pinsir fell on his knees and then on ground, he was unconscious.
"Pinsir is also unable to battle." Announced Referee.
Both trainers recalled their pokemon and thanked them for such powerful battle. These two gave each other a great fight. Now Burgh was left with 2 pokemon and Jason with 3 Pokemon.
"If you are ready for another round, I will go with it." Said Burgh and he threw a pokeball in air.
