Chapter 8: 8.Jealous Much? (Blair POV)
It's been a month since Carmen and I have been friends. The air starts to get chilly approaching fall and I'm glad to say I don't have to worry about burning to death.
I wake up and I really want to know what Carmen is doing right at this moment so I text her before getting ready for school.
B: Good morning CG. Getting ready?
I send the message and place my phone on my bed. I walk into the bathroom and start washing my dirty face and brush my teeth. As I brush my teeth I recall the memory when Carmen and I started to bond. I smile a bit looking down at the mirror as toothpaste falls down my mouth. I think I'm starting to feel something for her.
She missed school yesterday and I felt very depressed for some reason. Of course, Harlow was there so I hanged out with her for the whole school day but I wanted Carmen there. Whenever she talks I look at her as If I need her a part of me. As if I want to touch her.
Her precious scent that lingers through my nostrils. Her blood... her blood smells so good I just want to... Suddenly, I get a notification from my phone. I dash to my phone and toothpaste spills all over my tiled floor in the bathroom to my wooden flooring in my bedroom and little droplets on my skull bed sheets.
I try to clean up the toothpaste from my bed with my finger. I then wipe it on my comfy shorts and grab my phone. Carmen replied back. I feel a little happy inside. I open up the message to see her text.
C: Good Morning BG. I'm getting ready for school.
I smile at her text and send a message back.
B: You're coming to school today? Awesome.
I send my message and walk back to the bathroom. I finish brushing my teeth and begin to wash my face. Even though I'm pale as ever I still want to feel as normal as possible because I didn't want to tell them that I'm a vampire. I felt like they wouldn't want to be my friend if I did. I know Harlow and Carmen are both humans so telling them would make me feel like the odd one. And left out...
I look in the closet and see this nice looking skull dress that is a little tight but not too revealing. I know this is something Carmen would've worn so I smile at the dress and accomplished my mission. I hear a ding on my phone. Holding my outfit for school, I walk to my bed and put on my dress. I then check my phone.
C: Can't wait to see you.
I smile widely. I finally can smell her precious sent from afar. I want to tell her that I like her but I don't think it's the right time.
"Knock, Knock." My mom knocks on my slightly open door. I look towards that direction and the door begins to open showing her sleepy face.
"Hey, there's some- Dona! walk don't run!" She yells out to one of the triplets.
"I'm not running!" Donna says talking back to her mother. She places her hand on her head and sighs. My sisters are so bad.
"There's some breakfast for you downstairs." I shake my head.
"I'm good mom." I say. My mom is such a hard worker. Even though dad did her wrong by sleeping with another human she tries her hardest to be the best mother. I hate my dad for doing that to her.
"Alright, The school bus is coming any second. Get your stuff ready." She leaves my doorway and heads downstairs. I sigh of relief. I would be devastated if she found out about me being a vampire.
I get my backpack on the wooden floor next to my bed and head out to the front door. 10 to 20 minutes later, I'm waiting outside in this chilly weather. I see the school bus driving close.
I look through the window to see Harlow waving at me generously. I wave back. The bus rests into a stop and the door quickly opens. I get on the bus and sit next to Harlow. The bus starts to move again.
"Hey BG." She says friendly to me. I like how she calls me that. I started to call Carmen CG because it goes together perfectly. Nicknames are what makes a friendship last even longer.
"Where's CG? She said she'll be at school today." I look at Harlow worried.
"Steph is driving her to school today. He came to visit CG this week. Wait until you see his car. She showed me a pic and it's dope." I look down with anger. Why does he have to come at this time? Just smile. Just smile even though I'm destroyed inside.
"BG? You good?" Her eyebrow lifts up with confusion. I smile at her pretending my emotions.
"Yeah. Can't wait to see it." I rest my face looking out the window. Harlow mini dances in her seat with jolly.

"CG!" Harlow runs out the door to CG's arms. Her boyfriend leans against his car door. I walk out the door and approach their way as Harlow lets go of CG. CG stares at me pleasantly showing her sparkly teeth. At this moment I felt so good inside that my nonexistent heart started to beat fast. She walks towards me and grabs me into a hug when we get close.
Her scent. Her precious scent against my body is...
"I've missed you." I whisper in her ear as our bodies are near each other.
"Missed you too." She whispers back and we stop our friendly hug. I wanted to bite her neck so badly but of course, I didn't.
"Wow, Steph. This is awesome." Harlow's eyes get big as she walks over to the red convertible. I look down as I fold my arms not interested in this asshole.
Steph smiles with fondness. "Thanks."
"Steph these are my friends." Blair aka BG and Harlow. He waves his hand then puts it down as he crosses them together. Again... why is he here?
