Chapter 2: Having Hard Time?
Kenzou is now used to Lex activity during night, after dinner he will leaves and coming back in the middle of the night. That's his every day activity except for Sunday, on Sunday Lex looks more like a hibernating bear laying on his bed all the time, sleeping.
They never interrupting other business, almost 3 weeks and they never had a proper conversation between themselves.
The last time they talk is when Kenzou hand over those letters from the girls last week and he takes chance to introduce himself to Lex and nothing big happened, as usual they still awkward.
Today is outing day for Techno- science class, They traveling with one big bus to the beach where everyone likes to play and swim.
The girls are so happy to see Lex coming with them but then they disappointed because Lex chooses to sit beside Kenzou. The chance for them to be close with these handsome and cool guys fly away.
The same happened to Kiyo and Shim, they choose to sit side by side resulting the girls roaring but they just laugh but still managed to makes conversation with the girls.
No chit-chat between Kenzou and Lex, they just silent and listening to others jokes with smile. Kenzou kept wondering why this guy was choosing to sit beside him?
Since this morning he looks so tired but still he comes with us, last night he only slept for 3 hour, he must be sleepy.
Lex feels so sleepy, with the air hitting his face from the bus window now he tries his best to keep awake.
But after depending for 30 minutes he fell asleep, the bus shaking didn't wakes him up, he just too tired from working in the bar last night.
Slowly from unconsciousness his head leaning against Kenzou shoulder, suddenly Kenzou's body became stiff, the manly smell of Lex hair perfume into his nose.
"I used to this smell since he became my roommate but sense it from this close is really smell good...." Kenzou looking outside of the bus window to avoid the feeling being nice to see Lex sleeping.
"Hey you two look so adorable..... Look here" Yoka the class captain took picture of these two using Polaroid camera
ckrekkk!!
"Here you are...save it as a memory from our trip okay" Yoka continue to takes pictures of other.
Kenzou's looking at the picture that slowly showing a vivid picture of him and Lex sleeping on his shoulder, something happen inside Kenzou heart regrading gender Kenzou don't know what to call this feel.
He saved the picture inside his bag and joining Lex sleeping.
Arrived at the beach, the boys bring out all the equipment for staying one night, the tends, the cooking stuff while the girls helping themselves bring their cute pillows and big bag.
Finished installing their tends and cooking stuff the class captain calling everyone to join the games that they have prepared before. It's a team work games, everyone should join, there is no exception.
Shim and Lex in one team presenting team A while Kiyo and Kenzou in the other team presenting team B.
The games is piggyback games, while piggybacking they should run to collect the 10 flags which already arranged on the beach, 1 flag distances to other flags is 1 meter so they have to run about 10 meter for all the flags.
The class captain following by other started to count as they ready to go, Lex piggybacking Shim and Kenzou piggybacking Kiyo.
All shout 1....2....3....!!!!
Lex and Kenzou start running as fast as they can, grab the flags and hand it to the teammates on their back, other students cheering for each team...they are head to head when it come to the end, not so sure who win the game but Lex and Kenzou legs surely worn out carrying such a big body as same as they size.
Lex laying down on the sand try to catching up his breathe, the same happen to Kenzou beside them. Shim covering the sun from Lex's face and say
"why didn't you just give up, it's not a real fight...just a game...but you are so cool indeed having me on your back and running like crazy"
Lex turn his face to see Kenzou and Kiyo, they are laughing together to express their mixed feelings. Lex and Shim leave to join the other who are waiting for them in the start line.
After games now they are enjoying their own time in the beach.
Lex enjoy the view by himself, walking alongside the beach leave the cheerful of youthness from their site.
Someone call
"Hi mom...." It's his mum calling
"Son.....are you okay there? You haven't call us since you moved there, I'm so sorry about you and I'm also worry about you"
" No need to worry mom, I'm fine here....take care of yourself mom" Lex tries to stable his voice as he can.
"About your dad.....I don't know how to say it but I hope someday you two will made up again, miss you son" his mother voice mixed with little cry.
"Love you mom"
Lex staring at his phone as if he will find a reason why does his dad did such a terrible thing to him and girlfriend. Just because their business didn't get along as his girlfriend family terminate the agreement, his dad forcefully separate them by sending Lex to Korea.
His ex girlfriend, Lee Yori came to Korea once when Lex just arrived but then someone appears to be his new boyfriend that his father's send for taking care of Yori.
That time, Lex and Yori try to fight their parents by saying they gonna life together, and mother of Yori call telling their company will crumbling if they didn't fix their relationship with other co-companies.
Lex doesn't want to give up on Yori but thinking about her future with just a collage man, is not a great pictures.
He let her go and say their last words to each other.
They promised each other that they will live a happy life and find someone else to take care of too.
It's almost sunsets and he decided to sit while watching the sunset alone....the colour of sunset in the sky just like a beautiful big painting in front on his naked eyes.
Lex laying down, feeling the cold of the air from the sea blowing softly on his face, to be honest to his feeling, right now Lex not really interesting in making relation with someone but since he became a roommate with Kenzou, the save and comfortable feeling being having someone beside him when sleep is now start growing (even though they on different bed).
The reason why he chooses to sit beside Kenzou in the bus was because he will having hard time making conversation with other classmates and with Kenzou it already clear that they won't having a conversation either but at least he is with someone he used to see every night.
At the night, they made a small camp fire and sit around while singing. Shim, Kiyo and Kenzou sit side by side while Lex is silently sit behind Kenzou...
"Okay guys....it time for story-life telling....you can tell us a story of your life and we will guess whether it true or false....let me choose the first one...how about Shim...." The class captain begun the night bounding
"What.....me? Well I'm not interesting in techno and science" said Shim
"True...yes that's true.... We can see it...!!!" Other are booing Shim
"Huh? You guys know it?" Shim dumbfounded with all the reaction and there comes another boo-ing
Lex feels uncomfortable with the games so he decided to take a walk by himself with one beer can on his hand, enjoying the night sky of the beach.
Sit on the sand, suddenly think about how sad his mom when he leaves to Korea, he is so close to his mom and just thinking about her make his eyes watery.
"Hi....." Someone just join him sit on the sand, it's Kenzou.
"So....How is it feel to be close with people you have known for a while?" Ask Kenzou again, he played the beer can he bring with him.
"I thod you didn't like making conversation with strangers" Lex smirking under the glowing shine of the moonlight
"Well, having someone in your bedroom for 3 week count as no longer stranger right?" Kenzou gulping his beer
"You can decide that by yourself...." Lex takes a ship of his beer too
Both of them in silent for a second then Kenzou is laying on the sand
"Aren't you tired?" Kenzou asked
One question but there are two things pop up in Kenzou mind. He likely to hears, the answer from Lex about his daily routines or from today's games.
"Hmmmm?? Not really....I'm just sleepy" Lex lay his body on the sand beside Kenzou, the space between them less than half meter.
Again, the smell of Lex parfume hit Kenzou nose. Unintentionally their sight meets, Kenzou turn his head to other directions so that Lex can't figure out something happen in his heart.
"Excuse me....Ken, are you gay?" this unexpected question just flow from Lex mouth, Ken turn his face back to Lex
"No of course I'm not! , what do you mean gay"
In the next seconds after he answered, Lex's moving fast and now pressing from up on Kenzou's body and he quickly attack Kenzou lips by kissing it passionately.
Kenzou is blank for seconds until he back to his mind and push Lex away from his body.
"What the heck are you doing?!!" Kenzou punching Lex on the face. Wiping his mouth from Lex's saliva, feeling grossy.
Without saying anything Lex come closer again but this time no attacking, he just place his ear on Kenzou chest for a while and say
"You lied" Lex stand up and heading back to the camp site
Kenzou calming his pounding heart, while get his mind straight but rather than being calmer the questions pop on his mind instead.
"Why am I like this? Fuck! i should punch him harder, but...is it mean he is a gay? Argh I don't care!" Kenzou gone mad but also got mixed feelings.
Back to Seoul, it's 8 now.
Kenzou and Lex enter their room, but now the atmosphere when they leave this room and now feels so different. At least that is what Kenzou feels after the sudden attack on the beach last night.
There is a little bruised on Lex cheeks bone.
Sitting on their own beds, Lex is leasurely rolling here and there while Kenzou arranging his things back to it place.
"Think about last night....I'm sorry, I'm a bit drunk last night that I didn't think straight" Lex apologise sincerely
"Never mind....that wasn'tt a new things for me, I've seen those scenes everywhere when someones drunk, and I'm not sorry about the punching" Kenzou calmly open his laptop for saving the pictures from yesterday outing.
Then walking to Lex
"Well I take shot of this picture already now you can have it for yourself" Kenzou hand out a Polaroid picture to Lex, a picture that taken yesterday by Yoka on the bus.
Lex looking at it and paste it inside his cupboard. "We look good together"
Kenzou didn't hear it because he is wearing the headphone.
Lex get a call from the bar for some help then he rush out.
At the bar, Lex is helping with the bottle crane. He is as the bartender too, the bottle places nicely and he started to help other bartender to make the drink for costumers.
"Two marine please" an order come
"Okay...." they work fast as the music in the bar heating people up.
Lex was making an order when his eyes catches a very familiar girl sitting on the corner with a man beside her, it's Yori....!!! His ex girlfriend, Lex is about to talk to her when she was kissing by the man beside him.
His heart shattered one more time.
Back to the house
Kenzou frezees to the dead when he feels someone's cold hand on his body,
Think fast!
"This must be Lex"
Kenzou open his eyes and see this person on the same bed with him. "You must be drunk again, back to your bed" Kenzou to released himself from Lex embraced
"I'm not drunk this time...I know what I'm I doing, let us like this for tonight... please" Lex voice cracked, the heat of his breathing went between Kenzou neck and ear.
Kenzou loosen his effort and let this guy releasing his feeling
"Are you having a hard time?" Kenzou asking, this time he try his best to be relax and cool because he know tomorrow they might end up regretting what could be happen tonight. He tries to make the situation more like friendship than something else (friendship on the bed ;) )
"All my day since I'm in Korea is hard time...." Lex tightened his embrace to Kenzou body. The warm of Kenzou body makes Lex feel a bit in peace.
"You can hug me tonight but don't kill me" Kenzou ask for some loosening
"Sorry..."
In the morning, they still in the same position, Kenzou's alarm woke them up from their dream. Realising that he still had Kenzou in his arm made Lex blushing a bit, thankfully Kenzou didn't see it.
Lex raise up and looking at Kenzou who still fighting with his sleepiness
"Thanks a lot for last night Ken, I owe you one grand, tell me anything if you need me" Lex go to his own bed then disappear from Kenzou sight as he out from the bedroom to bathroom.
"Oh my God, this is nut! Did I just let a man hugging me all night long? Does it counting as sleeping with someone? Arrhhhhh!!!" Kenzou rubbing his face out of confusion.
"Well Kenzou...calm down...this is not so wrong, let me think about this relationship is just between roommates who try to save his roommate, okay fix! Nothing else to bother "
Kenzou have some more sleep.
