Chapter 3: Deadly light show
It didn't take long for Mr. Brown to notice it, the smell of dust, the increase in temperature and the impending smell of doom.
As if compelled by some unknown force, he moved towards the big plain window at the end of the board room.
His hands once again shaking, a feeling he had hoped never to feel again, the sound of the curtains dragging upon the metal railing gave way to a more sinister scene, as down below people were running in different directions, cars abandoned in weird angles, as people abandoned them in order to run through the traffic more quickly.
The hair on his arms stood, his heart beating faster than he could ever imagine, his mind racing as the only thing he had in mind were "his kids".

John stood there, grounded by fear as his eyes where fixed upon the ball of fire the size of to the moon, that was rushing towards the earth. The only thing that seemed to have brought John out of his trans like state was the cold arms of Ben that had wrapped around his hand and was now tugging him.
Almost immediately after John regained control over his body, his ears along with everyone else, began to hurt and ring as there was a thunderous explosion in the sky, leaving John, Ben and everyone else in a great pain, as the sound found it's way into the deepest parts of their ears and stung right in their brain, followed like what looked like hundreds of fireballs falling from the sky, the only thing he was sure of now was he was lying on the ground, unsure if he was dead or if he was alive, as time seemed to slow down and his vision seemed to blur, but he could still see the prisinct enterprise main building begin to fall.

The pain from Mr. Brown's head seemed to be spinning with a tremendous pace, but it was nothing compared to the ache from his left legs, as his eyes adjusted to the dust, everywhere felt cold.
Pain shot through out his body as he pushed of a large chunk of what used to be the roof of the board room which had fallen on his leg, but that pain wasn't up to the amount of pain he felt when he tried to stand up, as a crunching sound emanated from his leg, the silence in the office seemed to have worsened the case, as his heart beat began to increase, his head hurting as he tried his best to remember what happened.
"He had looked out the window, a giant ball of fire seemed to be falling from the sky, it had exploded and became billions of fairly large rocks, one of which had hit his company, and his kids-"
"His kids", the realization that his kids were still in the building hit him like an asteroid , overcome by a new motive, he tore his black blazer which had was now dust ridden. The pain of tearing the suit from his leg to create a splint was so great he had to bite down on his teeth just to get through it.
"Ray was a smart kid, he must have seen the asteroid and headed to the last floor" he thought as he felt the ground looking for something to use as a crutch, the long smooth body of the leg of a table was just the sensation he was hoping to find , and he did after a few seconds.
Standing up became a task, as his hands failed to muster up enough energy to stand up, but yet he had to if not for anything, at least for her.
The door that lead into the board room, had done a good job of hiding the horror that laid quietly outside. The door was unscathed , he pushed against the door which felt like a concrete wall, but try as he might the door wouldn't budge, and once again he stood face to face with death, as his feet began to feel the slow sway of the building.

Noise filled the main Street as people tried to run for their lives. John found it hard to see, his body was limp, he tried Earnestly to move his body, but to his horror, he couldn't successfully move his finger, pain shot all over his body, the only thing capable of moving were his eyes.
The last thing he could remember was a large chunk of the falling rock that flew straight for the prisinct enterprise after the main rock had exploded on air, the thoughts of the giant smoke dust, the hot crazy wind, the explosion in buildings and on the road as cars went aflame all filled his mind as he beheld the scene before him unable to move, unable to get to Ben who had fainted right next to him, all he could do was wait and watch until he could muster some energy to at least pull himself up.
Thirty minutes or so had passed and the dust around John had begin to settle, only now the horrors that they hid were being exposed slowly.
John's stomach rolled up, as he was sure he would vomit from the sight he saw , there were dead bodies everywhere, not to far from John he caught sight of what looks like the arm of a man that had been stabbed by rods into the ground, some meters from the man was a woman whose head had been flattened, bodies hung from Windows of cars and buildings, body limbs showed up in the tightest corners as John could see a child's leg in a shoe near Ben but without a body.
The urge to throw up was strong but the energy to do so was insufficient, his heart heavy as his minds wondered how many people had been trying to Change the world, before the world changed by itself, and became a first degree battleground...
He watched with tears in his eyes as a woman tried to free a crying man from the middle of a car and a wall, this he thought showed humanity at it's best.... But his thoughts were cut short by a blue laser beam that hit the woman right in the back , causing a hole in her back.
John watched with his heart in his mouth as the woman's back immediately filled up with a blue jelly like substance, after which she fell unto the ground screaming, only to stand up and begin to tear the limbs of the man she was trying to save, the cry's of the man filled the air, which was only matched by the growls of the woman, as she savored every bone snapping them like dry sticks from autumn, driving her hands into his eye socket to eat his eyes, before inserting her tongue in the hole she had made in the eye socket, satisfied with her meal she turned her gaze towards John and began to drag her broken leg slowly towards him.
