Chapter 4: Hunt.

Exiting the house with two iron swords he got close to his son and handed him one of them.

Feeling the difference in weight he tried to adapt with the time he had before the need to follow his father came - "Heavy right? With time you'll get the hang of it." Urian said and waited for a few seconds so Alkan could understand and grasp it to his use.

"No more of wasting time, there's a trail for us that way." Urian pointed with his finger towards the right side of the house, further into the woods.

Not talking much anymore, both just walked away from their home in search of Alkan's training partner.

...

Along the search the sight didn't deviate from the previous style, dark green on the nature but now sometimes Alkan finally saw natural water from this world and it was pretty standard. Water had a basic pattern for all the universes, transparent blue.

The path contained only their steps sounds and casually some type of birds noises...

It was the child's next words that tried to break the silence however - "So like, are goblins the main enemy of the world?" The question made Urian ponder a bit.

"Maybe... where the hell do you take those questions from, but honestly, the dungeons are the real enemies. The monsters, after all, came from inside them." The first thing to do is to determine how the dungeons came to form and why they still appear, only to end the source of the problem.

While the silence came back Urian decided to complain - "If your mother was here, finding the animal would be easy, a quick work." And so, they kept their pace.

...

In a cleaner part of the forest a lake could be seen, even if it was relatively cleaner, there was still too many trees blocking the view from no matter the place you're at the moment.

And in the shore a bear was taking a swim, his head and back was the only thing that stayed out of the water during his bath and so far the name confirmed which color the animal was going to be, blue.

Surprising them, however, leaving the water it showed that below his half top of the body the color blended with the color of the other half of his body, brown.

'Why not call it Blue Back Bear or something like that...' The child who was hiding at a bush nearby thought.

While he was there, the father kept close watch on top of a tree not going too far as well in case something went wrong.

'My father didn't explain to me why he chose this guy to be my enemy but being a 4 year old child, there should be no surprises.' Alkan spoke in his mind as he prepared his legs to dash at his enemy when he felt it was the right time to attack.

And so, when the bear changed his line of sight away from a place near his bush, Alkan started the mana flow and dashed straight to the back of the bear.

Nearing it his instincts started screaming when suddently the bear transformed his whole fur in dark blue just like his top half.

Not in the mood to turn back or stop Alkan didn't want to lose this change since the bear was looking straight to the lake and not to him.

However, feeling the danger, that wasn't the only thing the bear could do - 'What!' As without expecting it Alkan's sword slowed its pace to reach the beast's fur.

Around the sword water was trying to halt the sharp iron blade from reaching the animal.

'From where?' It was at that moment that he noticed, the water was leaving the animal's fur and at the same time he became aware that the humid fur wouldn't be able to store that much liquid so it was obvious that the bear was creating it with magic.

This came to be a surprise for Alkan, in his second chance of a magical world they couldn't create the elements from nothing maybe only if they knew a bit of chemistry which was rather unlikely for medieval times.

In those couple of seconds that went by he did attempted to remove the sword, yet all that this action did for him was the loss of time, the bear had already turned around and moved his left paw with sharp nails aiming to inflict serious damage to Alkan's head since it was at the perfect height.

Nevertheless having this type of height made the child's agility better, and with nimble movements he ducked finally letting the handle go along with the blade that was of course, stuck in the water's hold.

Near the ground Alkan jumps back escaping the hit narrowly while stopping the mana flow in the last second as he could already start to feel the sore muscles.

'I'm almost panting already.' He thought while getting frustated at his own body. He had no choice but to wait so his body could mature.

'Why did my damn father would put me against this magical beast.' The bear could use magic! How is that fair?

With the bear looking in the boy's direction, the beast used the sword that was in its created water and threw it towards Alkan along side a bunch of tiny water spikes.

Dodging all of the projectiles was not a hard thing for him as he was kind of tiny but what followed the previous attack was the bear being so close to him that it didn't give him any time to think he was rather frozen - 'What a dumb father.' Alkan thought while with his eyes the bear moved very slowly.

Maybe that was a thing that would happen in his final moments since there was nothing he could do.

Surprisingly? The animal was sent flying to his right and a tree took the impact and made the bear stop.

Focusing, Alkan saw that his father kicked the full blue beast with such a strength that it was sent flying and as it got up, some bones was clearly broken because of the limping it performed.

"You're really a muscle head, dumbass." Alkan spoke - "Oi, don't talk like th-" Before Urian had the full time to answer his son fell and went to sleep in no time on the ground.

"Sorry." He said in a lowly voice and changed his line of sight and saw the limping bear.

The fully blue bear out of the blue transformed back to his original form, half blue and half brown and stopped moving.

He could only hear footsteps as he felt the heaviest pressure he ever felt in his life.

...

"Ugh." Sitting in a bed that he discovered was his, Alkan looked around and saw the door of his room open and outside, the corridor that went through the whole house easily revealing that whoever designed the house had no experience whatsoever.

'My parents do not possess a brain huh, maybe my mother is a little smarter because she's a mage.' The child smile to himself and got up while looking outside through a window that his room had. It was night time.

As he caught sight of the dark outside, he obviously notice that he was asleep for quite some time and this would probably make his sleep routine messed up.

Ignoring this fact, he went to the corridor and turning a right he walked to the end of it finding the dinner room that was in the same place as the kitchen.

There, his father sat on the on the table while he ate some kind of dear's meat - "You have woken huh..." Without even looking at him Urian spoke rather awkward.

"It's fine dad, that was a great experience!" Alkan said trying to lift his father's mood.

"Really?"

"Yeah, don't worry." The child continued with his high pitched voice.

"Haha! But do me a favor." Urian said finally looking happy and at him.

"What is it?" Alkan raised one frowned.

"Don't, under any circumstances, tell your mother what happened." His face changed to a little serious one, you could even notice some sweat at his face.

"Sur-" At the same time Alkan's answer would be heard, the front door was open - "Tell what?"

His father's face got more wet from sweat and he gulped hearing a woman's voice.
