Chapter 15: Battle Pod (IV)

Seunghyuk smiled slightly and gave the wager a thought, "Well, I have nothing to lose, but nothing to gain either, so if I win, I'll contact you in real life and tell you my request, so technically, you don't have anything to lose either because either way you'll know who I am."

Jisung smirked in excitement as he readied his blade, "Well, so is it a deal?"

"Deal," Seunghyuk replied, and they both rushed towards the middle of the Battle ground with their blood boiling in exhilaration.

Seunghyuk watched as Jisung brought his blade down speedily, and Seunghyuk shifted his body weight to the left and barely dodged the lethal attack. Seunghyuk swung his fist at Jisung but it was rendered useless with Jisung's high defense stats, so Seunghyuk raised his leg up and held Jisung's sword in place.

"Just like that?" Jisung said with a sneer as he easily swung his blade upwards, flinging Seunghyuk off and backwards, "You really need to try better, whoever you are."

Seunghyuk realised he would not be able to overpower Jisung with his current stats, so he decided to go all out, and see who would fall first. Seunghyuk activated his Short-Fused Explosion skill and his stats shot up by 4 temporarily.

Currently, Seunghyuk's stats are approximately 3 to 4 points behind, but knowing his special nature of stats, he should be able to have a chance with Jisung. Without much hesitation, Jisung jumped forward and swung his blade in a poised manner but Seunghyuk jumped out of the range of attack, seemingly easier than the previous blade. Seunghyuk did not give Jisung a lot of time to react as he quickly summoned fire as a whip and slapped it across Jisung's body, and with Seunghyuk's stat increase and his powerful nature of stats that made him stronger than what is shown, he successfully injured Jisung.

"Well, that was intense..." Jisung said and his moves suddenly changed, like he was switching his battle formation as he swung and twirled his sword in the air around him, "Now, let's see if you can counter the Blade Dance."

Seubghyuk immediately realised Jisung was using his 3-star mastery skill, Blade Dance, and immediately jumped back a few steps but it was useless. Jisung rushed forward with an insane speed, slashing and piercing the blade all over in a disorderly manner that made it hard to predict. Seunghyuk ended up with wounds dotted around his torso area that made Seunghyuk wince his pain, biting his lips as he pressed on.

"I've only used one skill and you're going down already?" Jisung provoked and Seunghyuk calmed himself down, knowing agitation will lead to his downfall, and he replied calmly, "I've only used a mere fire skill too, try me."

Seunghyuk provoked back at Jisung and that seemed to work as Jisung smiled, tossing his sword in the air as he summoned an experienced horse radiating with the essence of war. Seunghyuk instantly recognised the horse and made the link to Jisung's skill, Horse of Three Kingdoms. This particular horse is a combination of horses ridden by the Three Kingdom's armies, Wei Kingdom, Shu Kingdom and Wu Kingdom, hence exuding animosity of war. Seunghyuk became wary and watched as Jisung rushed towards him on the intimidating, neighing horse.

"Caocao's Strength!" Jisung shouted out and slashed angrily at Seunghyuk, but at the nick of time, Seunghyuk rolled over and the blade crashed dangerously beside Seunghyuk, "Zhu Geliang's Intelligence!"

Seunghyuk watched as Jisung rushed over and he immediately conjured another ball of fire, pressed it into a shape of a sharp disc, but just before he was able to send it out, a great pillar of water smashed into Seunghyuk, knocking him back hard. It was Jisung's skill Aguarius's Water Jug, and he predicted Seunghyuk was going to use fire on him with Zhu Geliang's Intelligence. Right now, Seunghyuk was being overpowered by Jisung's flurry of attacks. Seunghyuk should never have thought he could win the fight easily, so he stood up and dashed forward once again.

"Nothing's going to work," Jisung threw a remark out to Seunghyuk and Seunghyuk realised as Jisung could still tell what Seunghyuk would do next, hence he decided to clear his mind forcefully and throw a kick at a random direction even he himself cannot predict, "Wait, why can't I see this?"

Seunghyuk's foot smacked Jisung hard in the face and sent him taking a few steps backwards, then Seunghyuk immediately casted a ring of fire and threw it forward, setting Jisung on fire.

"Well, this is more difficult than I thought," Jisung grunted and Seunghyuk had confirmed his Zhu Geliang's intelligence had ran out, or else he would be able to predict the ring of fire, "Okay, whoever you are, you're going down now!"

Jisung tightened his grip on his blade and dismounted his horse, rushing forward on foot and suddenly, he disappeared completely.

"Damn it!" Seunghyuk exclaimed in frustration as he realised Jisung used his skill of One With The Surroundings to turn invisible, then moments later Seunghyuk heard the sound of a reed flute playing,. which he realised Jisung used another skill, Reed of Speed to increase his speed to a scary level of fast, "I can't even see him!"

Seunghyuk took a random punch forward, hoping it would land on a body, but Seunghyuk's first was caught by Jisung's invisible hand, and a slash was delivered to Seunghyuk. Seunghyuk could only hear footsteps and the sounds of Jisung's reed playing, and Jisung continued to jump around Seunghyuk, leaving slashes after slashes on Seunghyuk's body until the whole of Seunghyuk's shirt was cut into pieces as they drop to the ground.

"Way to show people your amazing body build," Jisung mocked invisibly when Seunghyuk was left topless after his flurry of cuts with his blade, "You'd better prepare to tell me who you are!"

Jisung dashed forward, but Seunghyuk seemed to have his eyes closed. Jisung did not think too much and just assumed Seunghyuk gave up resisting the invisible attacks but he was wrong, dead wrong.

"Oh, there you are," Seunghyuk opened his eyes as his Eye of Detection spotted the faint figure of Jisung and Seunghyuk immediately threw a heavy punch, knocking the invisible Seunghyuk into sight as Jisung fell onto the ground, "Well, at least now I can see you."

"Snake of Ophiuchus!" Seunghyuk screamed once again and the purple snake appeared in between Seunghyuk and Jisung.

Seunghyuk forcefully turned his wrist towards Jisung and the snake went fully mad as it dashed forward with impeccable speed, catching the blowing wind as it accelerated through the air, smacking Jisung hard in the back with its tail.

"Ah! What is this? The hidden 13th horoscope, Ophiuchus's snake? How did you even get your hands on this!" Jisung exclaimed as he hacked at the snake but his blade bounced off the snake's hard scales like small pebbles thrown at a wall, it wouldn't permeate no matter what, "Damn it, this snake is too powerful!"

Jisung summoned his horse again and used Caocao's strength and performed his Blade Dance, slashing the snake a few good times before he was bitten in the neck abruptly with the snake's poisonous fangs. Poison entered Jisung's body and spreades out throughout his body which made him wriggle in pain, then Seunghyuk walked up to Jisung and send a final flaming palm towards him, blasting him backwards.

"I...I've lost..." Jisung surrendered as he stood up, sheathing his blade as he extended a hand and punched Seunghyuk in his hard, abdominal area hard as a joke, "Well, you've been working out, and I don't know what you did, but you managed to tire me out in the beginning of the match before using Ophiuchus's Snake as an element of surprise, it seems like you've really planned it out. One more thing, probably the whole company is watching this battle now, you've won against the best member in the company, so congratulations."

"Well, looks like I've won the bet," Seunghyuk smiled as he breathed in and exhaled deeply, his chest released all the tension built up in his body at one go, "Jisung, you'll at least know who I am."

Jisung's eyes widened in curiosity as Seunghyuk merely said, "I'm not Yumi's boyfriend despite how I look like."

Jisung's eyes widened even further as the cogwheels in his mind turned and clicked, making him literally shout out, "Hyung? Seunghyuk-hyung?"

"Yes, that's me, and that was a good and refreshing fight, by the way," Seunghyuk smiled and said, but Jisung just remained shock and flabbergasted, standing there all surprised.
