Chapter I : My Dad Got Slashed And I'm A What?
3rd Person's PoV
The rain pouring and the thunder roared as a 12 year old kid stood near her dead father unable to speak. Hearing the siren of police cars and ambulance just outside their home made her deaf as she just stood there seeing police men investigating their home. She doesn't feel anything, not even a single drop of tear poured on her eyes as she watch her father taken away by nurses on a stretcher with white cloth just topping him. A man in a police attire walked towards her and pat her on her shoulder. She didn't looked at him, she was paralyzed as she remembered what had happened to her father before he got killed.
"Al! come on now, we gotta eat." Adrian Bonifacio told his 12-year-old daughter as he put down the dish onto the table. His daughter ran to the table and sat across him.
"In the name of the father,and of the son, and the holy spirit..." She didn't get to finish what she was saying because of a loud crash came that made them flinched. Instinctively, Adrian protected his only daughter and told her to go hide inside the cabinet under the sink and get his gun at the cabinet just above the sink. He told Alphyne to hide and do not go outside until she was told to. So the little Alphyne did what she was told to. She hid and heard some grumbles and hissing of something she doesn't know. As a curious little girl she is, she took a peek at the small space between the doors of the cabinet she was hiding and saw a woman she doesn't know.
"Who are you? What are you? What are you doing in here?" her father said as Alphyne hid. She didn't get to hear what they were talking about because she suddenly heard a loud hissing just near the cabinet she was hiding and saw a shadow passed by the small space making her silent and at the same time nervous as if her life depends on it. At the time she took the courage to peek again, she saw an eye that is staring inside that made her surprised and hit the cabinet's door that made it open that also made her scared as she saw a creature she haven't known of. She closed her eyes as if the creature were about to eat her alive then suddenly she heard a loud bang and a loud thud. She carefully opened up her eyes and saw her father holding a gun pointing at her direction while his throat, being slashed and blood is flowing on the floor of their dining room. She was shocked and cannot even move her body at all. Just seeing her father wet from blood, bathing himself on the floor made her stomach hurl.
"Come on child, you have to get out of here." She didn't realize that the police arrived at their house and started investigating her father's death. She didn't talk. She knows she couldn't. She knows that she will only be going to be a laughing stack if she talked. She knows how the world revolved, how people only think of themselves, how they don't care about people who saw something a naked eye cannot see. So she just shut up and let the other people gave the idea of her being deaf-mute. A police officer walked towards her and stared at her eyes as she stared back also. The officer nodded at her and took her hand.
"I'm going to take her to the DSWD." He said and walked Alphyne towards his car and drove away. They were just silent on their drive then suddenly Alphyne speak.
"This is not the way towards DSWD, sir." She told the officer. Alphyne is a smart girl, she has a sense of direction, once she known where a certain place is, she knew where the way towards it is.
"I know and my name is Louis by the way. And you have to be in that place."
"Where is that place is, sir?"
"I told you my name so use it. I'm still 27 you know." Louis said with a frown and sighed.
"You will see, just about an hour and we will be there in no time." There was a silence and then Alphyne spoke.
"I saw it."
"I know."
"It killed my father."
"..."
"I'm going to kill it."
"You will."
"..b-but how? I'm just a twelve year old."
"That's why I got you out of there, because you belong with us."
"W..with us?"
"Yes. You will be safe with us. And you will be able to learn how to fight."
After their short conversation, silence linger again inside the car. She waited until her driver stopped the car in the middle of nowhere. The meaning of nowhere is, the place where in you will only see trees and plants surrounding the area. She looked at Louis as he got off of his car and walked towards the other side of the car and opened it for her. She followed him as he told her to and walked towards the forest. Thirty minutes had passed and they stopped at a large Acacia tree with thorn wires surrounding it. Alphyne looked up at Louis confusedly as to why they stopped at the middle of the forest. He put his palm onto the tree. Alphyne tried to ask him but stayed silent as the two were engulf by a bright white light. She opened her eyes and saw a huge gate that was surrounded by a 50 meter tall wall. They entered and saw some people walking by at the entrance. Alphyne turned her head around and saw five four-storey buildings, a huge dining pavilion, a big rock climbing wall at the distance, and a hundred square meter field with some kids still training even if it became this dark.
"It looks like a training camp." Alphyne suddenly said.
"Yes it is. Welcome Alphyne to Camp Bathala."
"Camp Bathala?" Asked Alphyne as he entered the entrance.
"Yes, it is a camp for demi-gods like you."
"Demi-god?". Little Alphyne said as she saw some teens walking towards them.
"Welcome back, Sir Louis." Said a tall guy with a black hair as he approached them, welcoming with open arms.
"What happened?" Asked another man just as old as the officer Alphyne with. The officer looked at her and sighed.
"Let's talk about this at the office. August, can you tell the other campers that we will gonna have a meeting later after dinner."
"Yes sir." Said August and ran towards the other campers.
"Come follow me Alphyne." He said and walked towards a building near the big climbing wall. The other man opened the door of the office and the two of them entered.
"So what happened?" Asked the other man.
"Alphyne here was about to be killed by that hag." Said Louis as he drank the nearest bottle of water.
"What?! But I thought they are not going to be here?". Said the other.
"I thought so too, Liam. But she did." Louis said and looked at Alphyne. She shifted, feeling a little awkward around the other older men.
"Alphyne." Louis started.
"Why, sir?" She asked.
"You should stay here at camp." He said. Alphyne just stood.
"I can see that you exactly knew what are we really are and what you can learn if you stay here." He said.
"You looked like your mother." Liam suddenly said making Alphyne looked at him.
"My mother? Do you know her?" She asked making the two looked at each other.
"Why? Didn't you know her?" Alphyne just shook her head.
"How troublesome." Louis said making Liam scratch his head.
"Why?" Alphyne asked them. She don't even know what they're talking about but she knows that they are hiding something that irks her inside.
"You see, your cases like a demigod-who-doesn't-know-who-their-parent-are are really troublesome. Like are they really and will be going to just ignore their kids? I even see a mark on you though." Liam said as he was looking at Alphyne like he was scanning her from head to toe.
"A mark?" Alphyne said as she was frowning her brows. 'I really don't get these people. My dad got slashed and I'm a what? A Demigod? Really? As in really? Oh my God...sss, Gods?'
"That mark in your left side of your waist."
Alphyne was still thinking about what just happened and still doesn't understand what just happened and where the heck they are in the whole Philippine Archipelago.
"Alphyne?" Louis asked her as he noticed that Alphyne is not moving and just staring on the floor. Louis was about to stand on his chair when a knock on the door stopped him on his tracks. The door opened and a woman on his early 30's just probably the same age as them are on the other side.
"It's Dinner time." Said the new comer. Louis and Liam started to walk towards the door.
"Come on Alphyne, I'll introduce you to the campers."
"So noisy." was the first thing Alphyne said as they arrived at the Dining room of Camp Bathala just across the office we had a meeting before. 'Is that even a meeting? Or just a gossip room. Sorry it's just that I'm allergic to gossips and such. Not really my style.' Alphyne thought while she rolled her eyes.
" Everybody listen up!" Louis suddenly called out making everyone look at them. Many eyes looked at Alphyne but she didn't even flinch or felt awkward, just feeling chill while having her poker face. That's what she is doing every time she felt the nerve to be confident in facing people.
"All of you know that there are still kids like you that is not still here and having some trouble outside facing those monsters lingering everywhere. And then there are some of us who are still finding them and helping them so that we can train them in order for them to survive the battle we have to face." Louis paused and looked at Alphyne then back to everyone.
"I want to let you all know that Sitan have been walking here on earth. His agents have seen lurking around as they started to kill every Demi like you all. Alphyne here is one of the victims of his agents." He said and automatically, all of the kids looked at Alphyne like she was some like a sudden light in you eye or have been injured or something.
"Are you alright?" Suddenly asked by a woman on her early 30's with an ash colored wavy hair down to her waist who came earlier to say that dinner is ready. Alphyne looked at her.
"I'm fine. And who are you?" She asked making the young lady smile.
"My name is Jade, daughter and Pillar of Idiyanale, the Goddess of labor and good deeds." she said making Alphyne nodded her head. 'Idiyanale? I've heard of her before but I don't know where' she thought.
"Louis, what Class is she?" A young woman with a bluish colored shoulder length hair named Perri asked Louis.
"She in the Trinity class." As soon as Louis said that many of the kids murmured and noise was starting again.
"Silence!" Liam said making the noise subside.
"So she is her daughter huh?" Perri said then everyone of them kneeled before her except Liam and Louis making Alphyne startled and took a step behind.
"W-what is happening?" Alphyne asked the two. Liam put his hands on her shoulder making her look at him.
"You are the first daughter of Mayari, the Goddess of moon, war, revolution and right equal to rule. And also the current leader of the 4th trinity that we ever had." He said and everyone stood up and started to cheer.

Liel's PoV
(Li-yel)
Every one of them were all smiles and all but why do I feel this way? I'm not that happy or sad or something but... I don't know. Well maybe because of the new girl Sir Louis introduced us. She looks like a type of person who don't want anyone be close to her. A shut-in kind of person. Her eyes were reddish black, like the color of blood and her dead expression is also present.
"Heya Liel, why are you giving the new girl those scanning eyes of yours? Do you like her?" Suddenly Andrew Rizal, my childhood friend, said while he put his arms on my shoulder. I rolled my eyes.
"Not my forte Andrew, unlike you, and get off of me." I said making him get off of me while wearing his usual goofy-grin, that thing that pisses me off.
"Yeah yeah yeah porcelain boy." He said in a tune of that girl group he like, what was it called again? Kuromomoi? That's just making me more pissed.
"Hey--!" I started but stopped as I saw the new girl walked towards where the table of Trinity are. Andrew suddenly grabbed my arm and dragged me towards their table.
"Hey it's against the rules to---"
"Oh shut up Liel. And there are no rules about that." Andrew said. I clicked my tongue. This wise boy is really pissing me off.

Alphyne's PoV
(Al-fayn)
"Hi there." Said by a boy maybe just by my age as he and his friend who looks like a porcelain doll came on the table where Louis pointed earlier for me to sit into.
"Hello" I said and then the guy sat across me as he also grabbed his friend to sit besides him. I pity this guy, being always get dragged by his over confident friend.
"By the way, my name's Andrew Rizal, son of Apolaki and this is Liel de Luna son of Tala. We are childhood friends because were classmates in pre-school." He said. I didn't even ask.
"Share mo lang?" I suddenly said making the two widen their eyes. Damn I can't help it but smile on their reactions.
"You smiled!" Andrew said as he smile also. I looked at Liel and saw his faint smile also.
"You two are funny. My name's Alphyne Bonifacio, nice to meet you."
"Hehe of course the pleasure is ours. So basically you are sailor moon huh." Andrew said making me frowned. I saw Liel put his hand on his face, face-palming.
"Here we go again." I heard him said. But didn't get caught by Andrew.
"Why?" I asked Andrew.
"Because you are the daughter of Mayari the Goddess of Moon, you are a Moon Princess so you are sailor moon." He said while innocently smiling. Eh?
I just stared at him. Did he just cracked a joke? Is that even a joke?
"Didn't you get it?" He complained.
"Is that even a joke? Then... Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. There five Ha for your joke." I said.
"Pfft---sorry." I heard Liel. I laughed not because of Andrew's joke but because of his expression as I gave him five Ha's. Liel also laughed. Damn, I like these guys.
We just ate on our table as we have some back stories to tell. Some of the kids gathered around us as they asked me some question which I give an answer anyway.
I have met the best of friends, Dawn and Sky. Dawn is a daughter of Diyan Masalanta, Goddess of love, conception, childbirth and protector of lovers. While Sky is a daughter of Lakambini, God of purity, food, festivity and youth. They are also noisy while they are telling me some kind of stories before I came.
I have also met the Pillars of Camp Bathala or Councilors in other word. There's Sir Louis and Sir Liam from earlier, the two of them are children of Bathala so they are the Director of the Camp. There's Ms. Jade, Idiyanale Pillar, Ms. Perri, daughter of Apolaki and also Pillar of Apolaki, so she is Andrew's half older sister. Ms. Jessie, Daughter and Pillar of Lakapati, Goddess of Agriculture. Ms. Leigh Anne or Ms. Leigh who is always sLeighing (bad pun) her outfits, daughter and Pillar of Dimangan, God of Harvest. They were only the Pillars who are here today because the others were still hunting those monsters outside.
"Here we are." said Ms. Jade who walked me to Mayari Room in the Trinity Building.
"We always clean this up because we always expect a demi to be in our care so don't worry if you think this room is unclean." She said while she is opening the door.
"Oh, I didn't thought about it being unclean and all." I said making her smile.
"There are unisex clothes in the cabinet, just use them and there are also necessities inside the bathroom. Feel free to feel at home, it's your home after all." She said as she points out what she said.
"Okay."
"Oh and also be ready at 5 in the morning because we always have a routine every morning. Okay." I nodded my head.
"Good night." She said and kissed me on my head.
I roamed around inside the room. It was painted in dirty white with small moon shaped designs on every wall I turn my head into. I noticed the ceiling, it was painted in black and there is a big shaped full moon with glow in the dark small stars surrounding it. The room was huge maybe good for thirty people but there is only one bed with a table besides it and a moon shaped lamp above it. Maybe they only put one bed because I'm the only who will gonna use this huh? Well whatever. I will just thank them because of their hospitality. I saw the cabinet Ms. Jade told me about, I opened it and saw clothes. I put out a black shirt and a short and entered the bathroom.
The bathroom is beautiful, really. Just like the room, it is also painted in dirty white but instead of small moon shaped design, it has a big full moon painted wall and some small glow in the dark stars like the ceiling of the room. It has a huge bathtub, a huge mirror and a shower. I washed my face first and have a quick warm shower and dried myself.
I noticed the glass door across the room as the moon peaked inside. I walked towards it and opened the door. It was veranda facing a lake.
"So you are my mother huh. That's why I tend to love the moon from the very beginning. Took you long enough." I said and went back to my room and slumped back onto the bed. And then, sleep engulfs me.
