Chapter III: Someone's Gonna Go Away
3rd Person's PoV
"Just what happened to the two of you?" Liam asked the two who was wrapped in patches and bandages. He is surprised to the extreme that he was gaping literally in front of Alphyne and Andrew.
"Umm, our sparring session became so heated that we almost kill each other?" Alphyne said questioning herself just why did it turn out like this while Andrew was still uncomfortable because of his injuries. Louis noticed that Alphyne is not even flinching or reacting while she was being treated in the infirmary by Mapulon children.
"Are you just fine, Alphyne?" Louis asked. Alphyne blinked and gave a smile.
"Alphyne, thank you." She said gaining a chuckles from Louis -who shook his head at Alphyne's antic- , Liam and Andrew while Liel gave a face palm but smiling.
"Oh jeez, say what?" Liam said still chuckling.
"I'm fine. It doesn't hurt. It doesn't even sting. I don't even feel pain at all. I promise." She said. All of them looked at each other.
" Maybe she is insensitive to pain?" Andrew said. Gaining a look.
"What?"
"She is. It is called Congenital insensitivity to pain and anhydrosis or CIPA." Said Alisson Taylor Ramirez, Mapulon child and Pillar and also the head Doctor at the Camp who is wearing a white lab coat with a red polo and black slacks inside the coat while her curly black hair was tied in a bun above her head. Her glasses shined at the lighting of the infirmary. She just arrived coming from the facility of Electronic Medication to study Alphyne's condition.
"What's the meaning of that?" Liam asked.
"It is a rare hereditary disease that causes affected individuals to be unable to feel pain or even sweat. But while looking at Alphyne I guess it was just congenital insensitivity. Do you sweat a lot?" She said while she observe Alphyne closely by leaning onto her. Alphyne stepped back, feeling uncomfortable by the gaze Alisson gave.
"Um, yeah. I do sweat just normal." She said making Alisson stood straight.
"What kind of normality?" Alisson asked making Alphyne thought of something.
"I don't sweat a lot as in a lot, but I think I just sweat just fine." She said making Alisson turned to Andrew who was still being treated.
"Andrew, while you are in training session and after you two arrived here, did you notice how Alphyne sweat?" She asked making Andrew look at her then turn to Alphyne and back at her.
"I dunno. I didn't noticed." He said.
"I see." She said as she put her left hand below her chin, thinking.
"Um, Doc. I think I can answer that." Alice said, the one who treated Alphyne after the two of them was brought to the infirmary for patches and bandages. She is a Lingga daughther, and Alisson's assistant. She is wearing a plain white shirt and a kaki pants paired with a red converse shoes. Her long black hair was braided just behind her back.
"Alphyne didn't even sweat after they were brought here while Andrew was soaking wet with sweat." She said making Alisson nod her head.
"Alisson, how was this related to Alphyne? Louis asked the Mapulon Head.
"I'm just checking her rareness and uniqueness. And they say that this hereditary disease may affect the person's whole physical and mentality. Alphyne, this may discomfort you, but did you tried to cut yourself?" She asked gaining a look of surprised from the people inside. They turned to Alphyne.
"No. My dad said that even if I don't feel pain, I shouldn't cut my skin just because I'm curious. He said that a human skin is not a paper to cut. So I didn't even try. I love my skin so much, why would I put some dirt?" She said making everyone sighed and smiled.
"Make sense. That's good to hear." Alisson said.
"Um, just a question." Liel suddenly said gaining a look from everyone in the room.
"What is it?" Asked Alisson.
"This CIPA thing, is it not a good thing? Is it a bad thing for Alphyne?" He asked gaining a smile from the Head Doctor.
"No. Not at all. Well it depends from her. What do you think Alphyne?" She said turning to Alphyne.
"I think, I will just shrugged it off. And maybe I may feel invulnerable in the battle coming up. What do you think?" She said making everyone chuckled at her positivity.
"Okay. That how it goes. It will be fine having this thing. But if you feel something just contact me okay?" Alisson said as she turned to Alphyne. She just nodded her head.
There was a moment of silence and then came after a loud exclamation of question coming from Andrew.
"What?!" He asked making Liam and Louis irk their eyebrows on his exclaim. Liel and Alphyne looked at him confusedly.
"Why are you acting like you'll be the one who's going to go?" Liam asked him, receiving a whack on the head coming from his half older sister. He gave her a look and pout. Perri glared at him and then crossed her arms.
"Sis! That hurt!"
"Just shut up will you? Let the Directors finish what their are saying!" Perri exclaimed making Andrew shut up and crossed his arms after he made a sound of a 'hmp!' Liel and Alphyne gave him a deadpan expression and soon replaced again by a serious face.
"Like what I was saying just before Andrew interrupted..."
"Sorry..."
"...you have to find our Katolanon, who just disappeared just after she came here. She was just preparing to leave to go back to her house but she was attacked by a cloud of hot gases like a hurricane as soon as she stepped out from the Acacia Tree." Liam said.
"Just how did you know that she was abducted?" Alphyne asked.
"The gate is always guarded by the Dumakulem children and some Apolaki kids. Maggie and Perri here saw the incident." Louis said. The three turned to Perri who was sitting at the sofa across the room. Her arms was spread at the top of the back rest and her legs are on fours.
"We were just having a small conversation at the portal gate while the others are taking a short stroll or taking a break and then we saw our Katolanon was walking towards the portal gate and then suddenly, it was kind of windy and then Katolanon disappeared." She said.
"Just like that?" Liel asked.
"Uh huh. Just like that." Perri said then stood up and walked towards them.
"We have to find her as soon as possible. Cate told me that she saw Mangkukulam lurking around the forest, maybe to start the battle coming up." Perri reported making the two Directors looked at her.
"Why didn't you tell this sooner?" Louis asked.
"Well, you didn't asked." She said making Louis frown.
"Perri, this kind of report should be reported immediately!" He exclaimed making the people inside flinched.
"Yes. I know! I'm sorry." She said. Louis just sighed in exasperation and just slumped back. And looked back at the trio. At the Bermuda triangle.
"You three." He started while looking at Alphyne, Liel and Andrew.
"Pack up your things that you may use while finding where did our Katolanon was abducted to and rescue her. And come back as soon as possible. And after you left, we will begin our plan to defeat Sitan's Guardians." He said to the three and turned towards Perri and Liam.
"You two. Perri, inform the campers. Liam, inform the Pillars. Tell them to return as soon as possible. Tell them to gather at the field. We will be starting our plan. Dismissed. And may the 4th be with you." He said.
"Yes Sir!"
"What does he meant by 'May the 4th be with you.'?" Alphyne asked Andrew while walking out the Trinity building. 'May the 4th be with you? That's more likely to be a Star Wars line. What is this? Copyright infringement?' Alphyne thought.
They saw Liel standing at the entrance. He is wearing a camouflage pants, a pair of military boot, a blue leather jacket with a black shirt underneath. He has his backpack and his chosen sword wrapped up at his back. They walked towards him.
"That meant that may the 4th Trinity Gods be with us, well except Sitan of course. And to be safe from all the dangers coming towards us and by the power of Mayari and Apolaki be with us." Andrew said. Alphyne nodded at what Andrew said.
"Let's go to the Electronic Building first to get the map. We can never start if we don't even know where to go." Liel said and they walked towards the said building. Alphyne noticed that no one was walking around the camp.
"They are on the field." Andrew said.
'Yeah, that's right. Why did I even forget about that?' Alphyne just shrugged.
They entered the building and entered at particular room at the end of the hallway. It was an amazing thing to see the Elecentroom short term for Electronic Center Room in which they use for tracking creatures and making weapons that they use in fighting the supernatural beings.

Alphyne's PoV
The room is painted white and there are so many monitors that is flashing the scenes of some places all around the capital. So this is their way in finding out where are the monsters huh, not bad. There are some monitors that flashes a certain place with some monsters lingering around. And there's this certain monitor flashing such a black atmosphere.
"What the fudge is that?" I asked making everyone looked at my way.
"Alphyne Bonifacio. What are you doing here?" Asked a certain black haired man as he walked towards us. Son of Meylupa, Master of Earth. He is quite tall wearing a brown polo shirt paired with black tie and black slacks paired by black shoes under his white lab coat. His curly black hair was quite a mess. Did he even comb it? That's the question. He was kinda tired just looking the way he walk. Slumped, his back is quite curved, leaning against an invisible person.
"Ah, Sir Harry. We're here to pick up the map to detect where our Katolanon was abducted to. Did Sir Louis mentioned that?" Liel asked the man. He rolled his eyes upward, probably thinking. Weird. Well, everyone is weird already so just stop saying weird 'cause you're also weird.
"Yes he did, fortunately. Come follow me." He said and we did. We walked away from the center of the room and entered another room with a glass wall so you can still see the monitors from the outside.
"What the fudge is that?" I asked again making Sir Harry looked at me and studied me. I was kind of uncomfortable from his gaze so I just turned to looked back at the monitors outside.
"What is?" He asked so I turned to him. He was giving Andrew a particular device with a screen that can pinpoint a certain creature in just a zero distance mile radius. I can see so many red dots and a certain green dot.
"You already know how to use that." He said. Andrew just nodded and tucked it inside his jacket pocket. And then Sir Harry turned to me. He is quite making a face, I was a little confused and remembered my question a while ago.
"Oh! That pitch black misty thing surrounding the Malacañang Palace in monitor 19." I asked. He rose his eyebrow in confusion. And looked up the said monitor.
"Pitch Black Misty thing? I don't see any." He said. I looked up. It's still there. Why? Why don't they see that?
"There is! Don't you see that?" I repeated and turned to Liel and Andrew who was looking at the monitor with their brows arched high.
"Well, I don't see any Pitch Black misty thing." Andrew said while Liel just nodded.
"Why is that I can only see that?" I whispered to myself. I noticed in my peripheral that someone was looking at me so I turned to them. He was standing at the other side of where we are standing. He was also wearing a lab coat, his blonde curly hair was quite a mess. Sir Harry and him can pass as twins except that he's wearing glasses. He smiled at me and pushed his glasses back using his right hand covered by a black glove. Weird!
"Alphyne? Is something wrong? You were silent this whole time." Liel suddenly asked me so I turned to him and smiled.
"Oh nothing. Just maybe I'm hallucinating or such. Don't mind me." I said to him and turned back at the man in the other direction just to see him disappeared already. Where did that go?
"Come on now. We have to get going already." I heard Andrew said and walked towards the exit. We followed suit.

"Wow. I didn't know that we have this here at Camp Bathala."
"Heh~~ now you know."
"Don't be such a show off Andrew. Hop on Al."
"Okay."
And then we took off.
