Chapter 38: Chapter 39

He was speaking with Arvind. Both of them stopped their conversation on seeing me. Then I realized that he married to save my dignity. 

"Come to lunch," I said hiding my pain. 

" Take this new pattu dhoti and shirt. Have your bath quickly and come fast" Arvind said Karthik looking at me. 

Karthik followed me to the room. I gave him a towel and left the room. 

I am on the verge of crying thinking that I married because of pity. From my childhood, I was craving love but I used to get sympathy and pity. Even my marriage also happened with empathy.

  Everyone gathered in the dining room, but I quickly completed my lunch. I excused myself saying that I was feeling tired and left to my room. I closed the door and cried about my condition as I became to burden to Karthik. I lost even his friends now. 

Suddenly, my mobile started ringing. I wiped my tears and answered the call. 

" Hello, it's me, Dixit"…
