Time passed in the blink of an eye and one day to her astonishment Lillian found herself celebrating her first birthday.

After getting chased out her mother alongside with their family butler Yang Xie, who was a war veteran that served under their father until he got crippled during a border scrimmish. General Long felt pity for the uneducated orphan whose whole life was spent in military and hired him as a butler.
... Now that she thought about it didn't it sound like the plot of some webovel? Will her brother get into an accident and transmigrate in high school? Or was it get transmigrated into? The first stage of both Qi and body cultivation was body refining. You might think it made cultivating them easier since you could do 2 stages at once, however you'd be mistaken. The Qi cultivation body tampering increased your body strength a bit, but it mainly focused on increasing your body's resistance to Qi. Body Tampering refining method focused instead on using Qi to strengthen flesh and only increased your resistance to Qi slightly.
Speaking of body tampering to her suprise Yin Long found out that it was a lost art in this era. Only few geniuses from peak legacies ever went past Mortal Transcendence stage of body refining and even they never tampered their flesh past the complete Star Body level. It was another reason why she was worried about her brother being the MC. He had amazing constiturion for Body Tampering arts.
She sighed and emptied her thoughts. Being distracted while establishing foundation could result in a fatal mistake. She first started with Qi cultivation. After an hour she opened her eyes and sighed. Talk about top arts and legendary race talent. It only took her an hour to advance to Peak Skin Refining Stage. Speaking of Stages, each Stageof Body Refining had its own name. First two were Skin Refining, third to fourth were Muscle Tampering, fifth and sixth were called Tendon Strengthening, while seventh to eigth were Organ Refining. The last official stage according to current era experts was 9th - Bone Refining, while her art mentioned the secret 10th stage - Marrow Purifying.
As for why all those names for substages - those were the ones common people spent most of their youth on. In common high schools the average student was between Qi Gathering and Foundation Establishment stages. In elite ones you could see some Core Formations and a single Golden Core here and there. Since youths are usually competitive those substages were named to make it easier for civilians and kids.
Yin was really glad there were child information terminals in this era, where she could read about all of that without it seeming weird. It was there for faster developing children that didn't like fictional storied or picture books and loved to ask "Why? ".
She decided to stop cultivating and get used to her strength for 2 months then catch up with Body Tampering before proceeding further. She shouldn't rush it. A 2 year old that could deadlift 100kg of weight would definitely stand out after all.
