Chapter 3: Klaus’ POV

~~~ Klaus' POV~~~
"Honestly today was the most bizarre day of my life." I announce to my brother who probably just wants to hang up.
"Crazy Students?" He implies as if he knows everything.
"No, nothing like that." I snare.
"Yeah... sure." He says then hangs up the phone. It annoys me at the fact he thinks he can boss me around.
As soon as the call ends I convert back to thinking about my day. I don't know who the new girl thinks she is but she really needs to be taught a few tings. I tried so hard to welcome her to the class like I do with everyone else on their first day of school. The problem with that was the way her voice sounded almost put me in a trance.
It was almost cute the way she stormed into the classroom and sat down. Even the way she rolls her eyes gets me. I'm so lost in my thoughts that I don't realize someone standing in front of me. My thoughts have consumed me so much so that I have grown numb to the outside world, and don't even care who I just bumped into. I've only just met her but there's definitely something special about her. I know she's my student and I'd never act on my feelings, but I just can't help it. I quickly hop in my car and race off to my apartment.
When out of the middle of nowhere the car in front of me slams on its breaks before I have time to slow down. It all happens in slow motion. My car smashes into the back of their car creating the worst crunching sound I've ever heard in my life. My whole body quenches and locks in place. My arms hurt so bad they feel like noodles.
Slow motion my car spins twice and wraps around a tree. The other persons car starts spinning 100mph. I'm so dizzy I feel as if I'm going to pass out. Then when I don't think it could get any worse my car slams into the barricade and the other car slams into me. My car is practically a pancake at this point. My ears are ringing like people's ears in movies do when they are too close to a bomb that goes off. All I can see is white and even when I blink it doesn't change anything. I grab my side because the pain is excruciating and feel something squishy. I freak out and end up passing out.
Next thing I know I wake up in a hospital with twenty different people around me. None of which I recognize. I look around frantically trying to grasp my surroundings and make sense of what is happening.
I end up punching a nurse in the face as she pulls a shard of glass from my side. I felt bad but at the same time she could've at least gave me a warning. The pain was so bad and numbing that I barfed all over the floor and the nurse. She was obviously disgusted by my vomit landing on her face because she freaked out and ran to get cleaned off.
"How on earth did she make it out of med school" I think to myself.
The musty aroma from my vomit was only making my stomach quench more by the second. I could feel each muscle contract as I held down the vomit arising in my throat. This just went from one of the best days of my life to one of the worst.
