Chapter 166: Rider

"Can I..." Ethan hesitated to ask.

"Sure," I cocked my head, "But it's not my fault if you fall."

Savannah looked confused, and if I'd bothered to look at Goliath I would have noticed he was watching as well. Ethan smiled nervously as he rushed to climb up on my back. I laid down so he could actually get on me. He sat in the gap between my spines. The one I felt was meant for him.

I think Ethan chose that one because I felt it was for him.

"Are you ready?" I smirked slowly.

Ethan could feel what I was intending to do, and hunkered down to cling to me desperately. I launched myself forward at full speed. Jumping down to the simulation floor before running laps at full speed. Ethan was nearly flung off twice when I took the corners at full speed. Ethan was both terrified, and excited.

"Having fun yet?" I jumped the wall, and spring boarded off the stairs.

Doing a full flip before landing back at the center of the simulation floor. Ethan managed to stay attached to me for the entire flip. I just stood there for a few seconds as Ethan tried to get his heartrate down. When he finally stopped panicking he slid off my back, and fell onto the simulation floor. It wasn't that far of a fall so he was fine.

Savannah started laughing at Ethan's current stunned, and winded state. I nudged him with my nose, and he started getting up.

"Did you have to do that?" Ethan rubbed the back of his head.

"Yes," I snorted, "You ever treat me like your little horsey, and you will regret it."

Ethan nodded slowly.

"I'm done with everything I need to do," Goliath clicked three walls into existence for me, "Time for you kids to go."

We did as we were told, and headed back to our rooms. Savannah picked on Ethan about how pale he was, and how scared he looked until we split up to go to our own dorm rooms. Ethan guilted me mentally about what I'd done to him so we weren't overheard. I ignored him for the most part. I enjoyed doing it too much, and he wasn't hurt by it so his words didn't really affect me.

He seemed to realize how little I cared by the time we got back to the dorm, and he let up. I went to my room, and did my normal switching forms routine. I stuck my head out the door. My wings twitched as I got ready to go to sleep. The couple hours of running around had worn me out.

I hoped I'd be able to do even more running around soon. I wondered what would happen when I we went on our big outing. Goliath didn't seem to worried about the trip so I figured he'd come up with some sort of plan to keep my secret under wraps for now. I'd have to ask him about it later. I closed my door, and dozed off a few minutes later.

The next few days before the weekend passed way to fast for me. Seemed as if Goliath was planning on having the three of us on the same team. He was just working on convincing Ethan's club teacher. According to him he was making good progress. I was pretty sure he'd succeed in convincing him since Ethan was better at fighting with just me, and Savannah around.

He told us to be ready just in case he needed a demonstration. I just smirked, and told him to bring it on. The next day Goliath asked us both to stay after club was over so we could do that demonstration for Ethan's club leader. We completely dominated four simulations without getting a scratch on any of us. Ethan completely wiped out multiple opponents on his own.

It was the first time he'd seen Ethan fight all out. He looked surprised. I figured that he'd probably completely underestimated Ethan with how much his fear restricted him. I on the other hand could snap Ethan out of it by hypnotizing him. Goliath messaged us as soon as the club teacher approved.

I smiled to myself mostly. I expected this actually. Ethan was an impressive fighter. When the conditions were right. The conditions were only right when I was around.

It was only a matter of time before everyone realized just how impressive us three friends were when we actually acted as a group. Goliath went into more detail of what we would be doing on the planet when we got there. Turned out it was a lot more hands off compared to the rift city trip. We would be sent out to reduce the beast numbers, and collect their mana crystals. We were supposed to scan the beasts we killed, and we would get points based off the tier of the beast we managed to take down.

We'd be given points based on the beasts we took down, and we would all meet up near the canyon by noon before heading to camp for the night. Then we'd be allowed to roam free again. There weren't many high tier beasts on the planet so it would probably be fine. Not many people had died on this planet. Each school usually lost ten percent or less of their students on this particular planet because of the annual beast reduction hunts.

The main part that caught my interest was the fact that the groups didn't need to stay near each other. We were allowed to roam as much as we wanted. Well, as long as we didn't take off our trackers. Each group would be given a small help package. The help package would include a flare gun, a silent alarm button, two weeks worth of rations, and a first aid kit.

All of which we should know how to use by now. Then we would be allowed to take our choice in weapons. The weapons we were allowed to take were regulated based on two things. One, we would have to be able to move freely. Two, each student had a weight limit as far as how much we could carry.
