Chapter 4: Smoke and blood
In the middle of the ocean it is possible to see a small sailing boat, in it there is a young man lying sleeping.
Hector doesn't seem to care for the direction he's going, he just follows the balance of the waves.
After hours like this Hector wakes up "What a wonderful sleep, it's been a long time since I've slept like this".
Being on alert twenty-four hours a day for six months. A rest was necessary.
"Since I'm in the blue east there won't be much reward, except for Arlong, Don Krieg, Kuro, Jango, Alvida and Buggy.
"Any pirate who is hunted will be an unknown. The purpose of all this is for real training".
Sighting an island on the horizon, Hector traces its course in the same direction. When approaching the island it is possible to see smoke.
Curious with that Hector jumps from the boat and goes swimming to his destination.
Arriving on dry land, Hector runs in the direction of the smoke. After passing through a dense vegetation, a burning village appears.
With the strange situation, Hector hides in the trees to try to find out what is happening.
At that moment two men talk "where is the captain?" "I don't know, soon we'll find him".
"We have to get out of here soon, before the navy shows up" "you're just afraid"
"fear? Why the hell would I be afraid!" "You're the most cowardly of the crew" "Your bastard wants to fight"
Listening to the dialogue of the men, Hector realizes that he is a pirate crew, looting the island.
"I seem to have found my first lab rats," Hector thinks.
Looking for people around, Hector looks in all directions. Confirming that there's no one around, Hector decides to attack.
(My first attempt to write an action scene)
Wielding the Durindana, Hector shoots at his enemies.
"Hey, where's the captain?"
"Again you with this"
"Yes, I'm with an evil.... Gulp"
Without drawing attention Hector punctures the chest of one.
The pirate looking at his companion, dead, with a spear coming out of his chest screams.
"ahhhh your bastard you will pay for this!"
"I have no money with me now, after I finish with your captain I'll pay you. Is that okay? Hahaha" Hector laugh
"Do you think this is funny? You are no match for our little captain he has a reward of 1,000,000 Berry!"
"Wow! He must be impressive, but I don't have all day."
Stopping talking to the pirate, Hector advances. Watching Hector go towards him, the pirate draws his sword.
Trying to put the trained foundations on the island in practice, Hector does not avoid the frontal confrontation.
Bang, Bang, Bang
Clang, Clang, Clang
Sounds of weapons echoing through the forest, Hector disappeared and appeared, the pirate was only defending himself.
"Is that all you have? You won't be able to take me down like this".
"He! he! Who told you I want to take you down?! I'm just using you to practice nothing more than that".
"using me? You bastard!"
Seeing that the enemy is emotionally unstable, Hector steps forward and pierces his chest.
"Gulp... You bastard, I cursed you."
"Thank you Mr. Rat, for your help in finding out in which direction to go in my training"
The same process followed, Hector searched for the distant enemies and hunted them down.
The captain of the pirate crew began to miss some of his men.
The deal was to meet in the village square when the sun is at its highest point in the sky.
Realizing that the situation was strange, the captain sends his men to look for his accomplice.
"Captain, I can't find them, I don't know where they went..."
"Captain... Something happened."
"Say it!"
"I found bodies"
"What?!!
Bash!
at this moment the captain knocks down the glass that was in his hands. And shouts. "Men gather together"
Hector watching all this commotion on top of a tree of a smile.
'so it's easier, I don't have to keep looking for the island' thinks Hector while smiling.
