Chapter 20: Chapter 20: Greenhouse and Zoo
Alex’ POV
“Hey gorgeous, wanna hangout?”
“Smooth but flattery wouldn’t get you anywhere with me, Alex. What do you want?” The smiling blonde responds.
“To hangout. I want to show you something.” I pulled her.
Our classes are over and I wanted to ask her out for the weekend. Also, I truthfully just wanted to be with her, every moment is precious.
“Okay, okay. What is it?” She removed my grasp on her arms only so she could hold on to mine.
“Come with me.”

When we reached the rooftop, I removed my hands from covering her eyes. I brought her to the greenhouse which is actually in the rooftop of where my apartment is.
The sunlight is still glinting and reflected by the glass walls. It was refreshing and peaceful place surrounded by plants and a tree at the center part of the greenhouse. Only the noise of the insect is present. The feeling is like being in a countryside, far from all the noise and complications of the city.
“Wow.” Sunny gasped at the sight. “How did I not know you have this in your building?” She continued in awe.
Not as beautiful as you though. - That’s what I would have said if she is in any state of being okay to be courted right now but she’s still healing and she wouldn’t even bother to open up. Instead, I replied with,
“Well, the first time you were here you went off abruptly and the second time, you weren’t in the proper state I guess. I’m glad this time.”
“I am too.” She beamed at me.
We sat under the small tree with our backs leaning on the trunk. Sunny has her eyes closed. Eyebags are present just below her eyes, probably from crying and not being able to sleep at night. Yet, she looked so majestic as the wind blows her baby hairs onto her face. I’m desperately fighting the urge to remove it from obscuring that beautiful view and oh God, her parted lips entice me.
“How is adapting to new school going for you Alex?” She asked.
I nervously darted my gaze away, frightened that I was caught staring but then her eyes didn’t open.
Sigh.
“It’s really easy. How about you, really?” I asked back.
“That’s good. Hmmm…with me, everything’s fi- ”
“Don’t you dare tell me okay or fine or along the lines of that, because I know it’s not true.”
“I broke up with Jackson.”
“I know.”
“Ari or Bree might have pick up on that and told you. It’s not like you’d know. You’re pretty oblivious.” She chuckled at the last part.
“Hey, no I’m not.” I pout.
‘Whatever hamster.” She shrugged and leaned her head on my shoulder.
I let her as she turned her body towards me and curled into a ball. I didn’t press her for more details about their break up. She’d tell me if she wants to, that’s what Ari said and I’m going to respect that. I just didn’t want her to say she is fine when clearly she’s not.
We sat in the comfortable silence for a few moments before I had to break it.
“Mitchelle.”
She hummed in response.
“Let’s go camping this weekend. The two of us, the young ones are busy.”
She looked up. Her two orbs glinting under the sunlight where the tree was unable to shade.
“You sure?” She mused. She probably thinks I’m joking.
I nodded.
“Okay.” She responds before putting her head back in my shoulders.
We continued to sat in silence until it was time for her to go home.
I’ve never been so anxious and excited at the same time just for a camping.

Alex Song: Hi Bree! I and Mitchelle are going camping on weekend ;D
Maria Han: Camping? Who the f does that in this century? What r u, scouts? Meh

BreePup: I’m curious, why camping? You never liked it before, why did you even suggest it?

Hamster: I brought Sunny in the greenhouse upstairs, she liked it

BreePup: so she likes outdoors and nature then
Hamster: I thought so too, hence the camping
BreePup: aww, that’s romantic and greasy, which is so you

Hamster: I’d agree w/ Ari this time. It’s not like Im dating her for it to be romantic
BreePup: Yea but if it were the case I’d say that and romantic is not just for y’know. Why are you being defensive?
Lioness Nala: nah, what’s romantic is me bringing u McDonald’s for dinner, even got u ur fav oreo sundae
BreePup: Ari, you are the one eatng it and pls, leave some for me
Hamster: You together rn?
BreePup: Ari insisted on another sleepover saying it’s for our project, but she doesn’t even know what the project is

BreePup: You gotta prep for the camping materials though
Lioness Nala: Puppy, I thought we agreed to do the project, I’d give u all the moral support u need ;)
Hamster: Oh shoot. I gotta go buy tomorrow
BreePup: You agreed on that on your own Ari. Is there anything we can do to help, Alex?
Hamster: Maybe you could help buy those camping materials? I have my working shift after class -_-‘
BreePup: Yea, we can do that, right Ariiii?
Lioness Nala: look who’s agreeing on her own terms now -____-
BreePup: You saying something Ari? :)))
Lioness Nala: Nothing, jus eating
Hamster: ooop, Ari is a bottom
Lioness Nala: stfu
BreePup: What is a bottom?
Hamster: x __ x
Hamster: Need to go, I still have to eat dinner, bye

I locked my phone and faced Ari who is busy munching on her fries.
“What does Alex means when she said you’re a bottom?”
