Chapter 32: Chapter thirty two- Dino bones, Beri and Wax Gabriel
They didn't have to wait long until the food was ready and the dino meat was served up, Gabriel had been looking forward to seeing what the meat tasted like as he knew that no one back in his old world would have been able to taste the like before.
The second that he bit down on the large hunk of meet his eyes widened as the taste flooded his mouth, it was delicious, juicy and it practically fell apart in his mouth. 'I don't believe it' he thought after a moment to chew, savour and swallow as he looked at the meat, 'T-rex actually tastes like chicken'
Gabriel began to tuck into the large chunk of meat with gusto, eating like a starved man, it just tasted so good and he couldn't get enough of it, and in ten minutes he had the chunk of meat that was five foot high eaten and the bone stripped clean.
'that was delicious, I'm definitely going to have to stock up on more of this,' Gabriel thought before standing up and grinning, "Hey, I'm going out hunting again, I'll catch up to you guys in a bit"
"Bring back lots of meat," Luffy called to him before he went back to his own much bigger pile of food.
Gabriel nodded and looked out to the jungle before he vanished in a burst of Soru to begin his search.
Meanwhile on the other side of the island in a small Mr three has already arrived and was sitting in his small wax house frowning deeply as he looked down at his empty teacup. He had only recently after arrived on the island after receiving his mission orders and briefing.
Apparently Mr Five, Miss Valentine and Miss Monday had defected and Mister eight and miss Wednesday had out right betrayed them, and now he had been ordered to see to their removal, such a pain, didn't that lot know any better, but what could he expect from those of lesser intelligence.
Their boss doesn't tolerate failures and even less those who betrayed him. He didn't know the cause of their defection, but he could perhaps use this to his advantage. Once he had found out their next destination, he, of course, immediately began to make plans on how to make the best out of his situation.
His sources told him that two particularly large bounties were here on the island and he immediately began coming up with multiple contingency plans on how to capture them both in order to claim the bounties on their heads.
The first of which required him to attain the assistance of one of the traitors to the defectors, he had a plan on how to convince him.
Standing up he looked to his partner, "Come, Miss Golden week, they have likely arrived by now, we have a someone to see"
His young female partner sighed and hopped off her seat by the window and began to follow him.
Meanwhile out in the jungle Gabriel had just finished his hunting trip and was wiping down his blade satisfied after his latest kill. He must have killed about twenty of the massive beasts, with his new skills killing them only took few seconds for each of them. He knew he had plenty of meat to last him a good long time, and now he was looking over the stock in his inventory getting rid of what he didn't need.
With the bones highlighted in his inventory he went to the sell option and was incredibly pleased to see the price list that came up listing each of the bones and the prices he would get for them.
Twenty Tyrannosaurus skulls- fifty thousand beri per
Eight hundred Tyrannosaurus Tail bones- ten thousand beri per
Four hundred Tyrannosaurus rib bones- seven thousand beri per
Twenty Tyrannosaurus thigh bones- twenty five thousand beri per
Two hundred and forty Tyrannosaurus claws- two and a halve thousand beri per
One thousand Tyrannosaurus teeth- five hundred beri per
One hundred and sixty Tyrannosaurus limb bones- five thousand beri per
All and all with everything he had sold, he had managed to pull together fourteen point two million beri from hunting down the Tyrannosaurus alone. Well it was safe to say that he would not be hurting for money any time soon and he would be able to go shopping for whatever he needed.
'well this has been a very productive hunting trip' Gabriel thought as he hit accept before returning his sword to its sheath.
'I think I'll go back to the ship and do a little shopping to pass the time, I'm sure that the others can handle whatever mister three has in mind' Gabriel thought to himself before vanishing in another burst of Soru.
A few minutes later Gabriel appeared on the shore next to the going Merry and was about to jump over to the deck but paused when he didn't see anyone on board or Mikita up in the crow's nest.
'could she have left with the others when Brogy came by, but I ordered her to stay on the ship, no something isn't right' Gabriel thought and put his hand on his sword handle before he vanished once again in another burst of Soru.
He appeared in between the tangerine trees on the deck crouching low as he moved to look around for anyone still onboard. He stopped when he heard voiced inside the cabin and crouched down to listen.
"Come on do you really expect me to buy that, we both know the boss would never let us back in" he heard Gem argue loudly.
"Whether you believe me or not it's the truth," Gabriel heard another voice and instantly recognized it as Mr three's, "all you have to do is aid me in my plan, help me to capture those two brutes out in the jungle for their bounties, two hundred million beri will surely go a long way to put you both back into the bosses good books"
Gabriel frowned, so that was his play, he was trying to recruit Gem into helping him just like he had in the canon.
"But it's not a guarantee, besides we both know the truth now, and we want no part in what baroque works is doing," Gem stated firmly.
"Yeah so let me go you wax bastard" Gabriel heard Mikita yell at him.
So, it looks like he had Mikita trapped while he was trying to talk Gem on board with his plan, how annoying.
"What a pity, even though you are both weak you both showed such potential, a shame that you didn't have the brains like some to make the most out of your situations, I guess I shall just have to go with my plan B for dealing with those brutes" Mr three states as he began to move to the door.
Gabriel picked that time to move as he threw himself over the top of the ceiling and landed down in front of the door.
"I don't think so" Gabriel said as he crossed his arms, "you aren't going anywhere"
Startled Mr three took a few steps back as he looked at Gabriel assessing, "ah Gabriel, bounty of twenty-three million, not a bad bounty but not good either"
Gabriel smirked, "you're one to talk Galdino, bounty of twenty four million beri, just because your one million beri higher than me doesn't give you the right to look down on me, hell even your partner has a higher bounty than you" Gabriel said as he looked to miss golden week sitting at the table eating cookies, "isn't that right Marianne, twenty nine million beri"
The now identified Marianne looked up at him with a scowl that didn't look pleasant on her, "don't call me that" she said with venom in her voice, but didn't deny it either way.
Gabriel arched an eyebrow at her tone but didn't push her, some people just don't like their names.
Meanwhile Mr three was scowling at him, "so you know our identities,"
Gabriel smirked, "oh I know a lot more than just that" he said cockily.
"Then I'm afraid that I cannot allow you to leave here alive, so sorry" Mr three said in a mocking tone before his hand turned white and began to drip as he thrust it forward, "candle casing!" And launched a large amount of wax at Gabriel.
Gabriel just smiled and stood there on the spot not trying to evade it in the slightest before he was hit by the wax and stood his ground as he was coated head to toe in only seconds before it hardened in the next few moments.
Mr three lowered his arm and smirked victoriously at his latest statue, "hmmm not bad, not my best work but it's definitely an improvement from the original"
Gem and Mikita looked at the sight shocked that Gabriel hadn't dodged, in the few days they had known him and seen him train they both knew he had skill enough to do so, so why had he just stood there and took it.
