Chapter 72: New Element!

'What, two upgrades?' I asked in surprise.
[Two conditions have been met. Conditions are ^#½#>#£#$>$££>!]
'It seems, even if I am almost sure that Dalia is from the Ancient World, but System will give me no information about it. It is fine too. At least System got two upgrades.'
"So the rewards you gave were for the first upgrade right, can you tell me what is the second upgrade reward?" I asked. System was generous when it came to the rewards, and since it was mine, there was no shame in asking more. Considering I lost all my points, System should award me with something good.
[New element draw will commence now. 3 2 1]
Before I could ready myself, System started a new element awakening. Awakening at level tens is vastly different from the first one. Before I leveled up to Warrior Realm, I awaken four elements. Mirror and Barrier elements when I first awakened, Shadow Element through System, and Eternity Element when I leveled up! It was easier at the time. In the warrior realm, the awakening of an element is a different thing.
When a person levels up to 11 and becomes a warrior, two elements awoken merge together and creates the first Combo Element. Then the person has to awaken two elements in Warrior Realm to combine them once again to have two Combo elements. When the person is ready to level up, two combo elements have to merge together to create, Transcended Element.
For example, Desmond can combine his Broken Reality with the Eternal Shade element to break through even though he is not level 20 yet. But because it would block his furtherance, secondly he can awaken two elements in these levels, why should he give up on those elements.
Now that System allowed him to awaken another element, and with two elements he will awaken when he is level 20. He will only need another one, and he will have four combo elements, and when he levels up to 21, he will have two Transcended Elements.
'This is perfect.' Desmond focused on the black universe he had been in before. There were many stars representing elements of the universe. But this time, there was something different. Desmond could feel the elements.
Because of his ceaseless training in rune forging, he was accustomed to elements more than he had ever been. He could feel the elements of each star intimately and didn't have to depend on his guts to choose one.
"Eternal Shade is not compatible with Broken Reality. I will choose an element that does match Broken Reality to create a Transcended Element I like." I thought and felt the elements all around me.
Fire to Ice, Lightning to Earth, all elements were ready to pick. But I skipped them without giving a thought. I had an element that I wanted for a long time.
I approached a star with nine colors. The colors were changing without stopping. There was also a rainbow mist. There were maidens and fairies in the mist, drinking morning dew with their tantalizing bodies.
"Illusion element!" I looked and felt the element of the star.
My Broken Reality element wasn't an illusion based element. I could change the sense of the enemies by breaking the reality, but it wasn't a real illusion. But if I were to mix these elements, the new one created would be something unstoppable.
I approached the star, and maidens left the mist to welcome me. I joined their ranks and closed my eyes. I felt the element in my inner world and connected with the star.
I saw a big bright light illuminating the endless darkness. Then the heavy mass started to rotate around itself. After a while, the mass condensed and created solid objects. The objects turned into stars, moons, and worlds. I saw my old world there, and my old life.
After a while, I woke up with a notification from System.
[Rainbow Mist element awaken!]
I already knew that the element I awaken was called so. The illusion is a vague concept. Even my Broken Reality can be an illusion in a sense. Thus, there isn't 'the illusion element.' What I awaken is one of the strongest illusion causing element. Rainbow Mist. It can affect the target through smell, vision, taste, and even skin. It cannot affect hearing or other senses, but I have Broken Reality for that. And when they merge, the new Transcended Element will be something more potent.
I changed my face and left the house through a secret tunnel. I want to test a new element. I left the city and walked into the forest. There were many beasts living in the forest, and thanks to Information Trove, I had a full map of the forest around the city.
I made my way to the part where monkeys lived. Monkeys were smarter than many other animals, and the ones I wanted to fight against were three-eyed monkeys. They had one vertical eye at their forehead giving them 'true vision.' The true vision was a skill envied by many. It could break facades and see-through deceptions. They were the perfect target to test the new element.
It didn't take me long to arrive there. After an hour, I was in the forest, covered with giant trees. As soon as I stepped into the forest, a stone passed through my ear with great speed. I looked at the culprit and saw a monkey with golden fur with a slingshot in hand reading another stone. There were others at top of trees, aiming at me.
"Here we go!" I said with a trill and started to run towards trees. I was relaxed because it was still the outer perimeters of the forest. There were stronger monkeys living further inside, and I wasn't strong enough to fight against them.
