Chapter 269: The Speech
Axel was standing in a stadium. Next to him were 300K soldiers waiting to hear his speech. That was the total strength of Hakone city's soldiers.
250k of them were permanent soldiers and village guards. 50k of them were soldiers from the league.
When the mayor pitched Axel's idea of charging money for further training, the league agreed immediately. In a way they were supporting the successor of Pokemon Master and additional training would not hurt.
Axel was relieved that the league agreed. Cause if they didn't then Axel would only train permanent soldiers and village guards. This would create a rift between the soldiers which he didn't like to happen.
"Now, all of you may be wondering who am I. Some of you may know me and some of you don't.
For those who don't know me, I am Axel Blaze and I am here to train all of you.
If you think that I lack credibility, then let me tell you, I am a zone commander and I have 5 elemental rank Pokemons and 1 pseudo-king rank Pokemon."
All of them knew about it. The mayor had already told them. But hearing from the person itself made them surprised. How can a kid have such high status? Some of them wanted to question the authenticity of this statement but none of them had the courage.
If what Axel said was true and they questioned him, they would be in deep trouble.
"Our training would be divided into 4 parts.
1. To learn about the Pokemon itself
2. Learn how to make traps
3. Strategy and team composition
4. Training you and your Pokemons.
I would teach you each of them for a week. After 4 weeks of training, all of you would have a general idea about how to face a tide and some of my subordinates would take over the training.
Now, if you have any questions, it is better to ask now."
Axel waited for 10 seconds and one of them raised a hand.
"Yes, you can speak."
"Sir, Hakone City is a peaceful area. There has been no tide for the last 30 years. Do we really need to train so hard?"
"Ahh. That is a great question. Now listen here all of you. There is a reason for such a peace full time.
First of all, the forest we have here. The most powerful Pokemon and the leader of the south side of the forest is Arcanine, who is a king-ranked Pokemon.
Unlike other Pokemons, this Pokemon does not like to fight and would stay neutral. But as per my estimation, that Pokemon is already more than 200 yrs old. It may be more than 250 yrs old or even 300 yrs old. But I am confident that it is more than 200 yrs old.
Do you know what that means? It means that it is going to die soon. Can you guess what would happen if it dies?"
"Another would take the throne.", replied one of the soldiers.
"That is right and then we would face a huge tide. Since there has been no tide for 30 years, it is safe to say that the tide would be at least be high mid-level. Don't you think that we should be prepared for it?
The east and the west side of the forest is weaker but we can't be too sure as we don't have the correct data. The sea is an unknown territory for us. So, I think we should prepare more."
All of them came to realize that they were in a time crunch and they needed to improve a lot.
Axel didn't tell them that he had an alliance with east and west side of the forest.
Some of them asked questions, but Axel calmly replied to them. One of them asked, "Sir, do we have to learn about all the Pokemons?"
Almost all of the soldiers were uneducated and except knowing about the typing advantage, they didn't know much about the Pokemons.
"Worry not. You would only have to learn about those Pokemons that are common in these areas. Your training would start from tomorrow."

Axel had called Dory, Dorton and Hector for help. He told them that they could serve in Hakone City and he would get their transfer ready too.
He also told them that, if they became permanent soldiers, they would be paid much more than when the league offered them.
All of them immediately agreed.
Dorton and Dory would be invaluable in teaching the soldier about Pokemon and strategies while Hector would be good in training them. Axel had personally trained Hector and other lieutenants, so Hector was perfect for the job.
When the school opens, Dorton and Dory could be the teachers of the school. But he knew that only 2 of them would not be enough.
So he called the one person, who would help him.

Tring.. Tring.. Tring. Tring..
"Oh hello Axel, I must say that it is quite a surprise."
"Hello, Miss Angela. How is it going to be there now?"
"It is going well. Acquiring the gym has helped us a lot and we are slowly expanding. Where are you right now? Why don't you come here to visit us sometime?"
"I am at home. I would come there after some time. I called you to ask you for a favor."
"Do tell."
"I am opening a school in my city and I need some teachers who could teach them. Can you send some people who are good enough to teach the theories and also train them?"
"Hmm.. That would be a bit difficult. Our teachers are jammed packed with their schedule and almost no one is free. I would have to look into it."
"Oh please do. I don't have anything in return to give you but Venu family would be welcome to come to my city freely. I would also advertise to the school that it is a joint co-operation between me and the Venu famiy."
"Thanks. But you don't need to do all these things. You are a part of the family and the family would be happy to help you. I have to look around the schedule of the teachers. I would let you know by tomorrow."
"Alright. Thanks for the help."
