Chapter 487: Pokemon Stats
Tauros was not a special attacker but a physical attacker. So, Axel wanted it to have a great physical stature. He also wanted it to have status moves to elevate his body stats. Tauros was slowly reaching towards king rank. The tide battle had helped it a lot and it had matured a lot from it.
Axel then looked at Absol:

It had grown strong. Its health had increased to 5,000. This might not be as high as Tauros but it was still better than before. Absol was not a defensive Pokemon. It was fast and it was deadly. Its stats have also increased and its moves have also crossed the threshold.

(Level 45): Has a 90% chance to reflect the special effects back to the attacker of the same rank, 40% chance for a Pokemon that is one rank higher.
Night slash (Absol): (Level 40): Can send out a dark slash to the attacker. It has now become a special attack
(Level 45): Will send out 2 dark slashes from different directions.
(Level 50): If the move leaves a wound on the target, there is a heavy chance that 'World of darkness' would activate.
Stone edge (Absol): (Level 40): The move is faster.
(Level 45): The move has the power to trap the opponent and also has more penetrating power.
(Level 50): Axel could jump on these big stones to rapidly increase its speed to a very high level for one time.
Payback (Absol): (Level 40): The can be used subconsciously now. There was is 30% chance that the power would be doubled if the user was attacked first.
(Level 45): There is 40% chance that the power would be doubled if the user was attacked first.
Assurance (Absol): (Level 40): The can be used subconsciously now. There was is 30% chance that the power would be doubled if the user was attacked in the same turn.
(Level 45): There was is 40% chance that the power would be doubled if the user was attacked in the same turn.
Feint Attack (Absol): (Level 40): Absol is very fast when it draws up close to the enemy. It is extremely difficult for a Pokemon of the same rank to dodge it.
(Level 45): Absol goes completely invisible while using the attack.
Me first (Absol): (Level 40): Absol's reaction speed and its move-using speed would increase by 20% while using this move and the power of the copied move could be 30% higher than the original if the move was used by a Pokemon who had the same base stats or lower base stats than Absol. If it is higher, the power of the move would be equal or even lower.
(Level 45): Absol's reaction speed and its move-using speed would increase by 30% while using this move and the power of the copied move could be 40% higher than the original if the move was used by a Pokemon who had the same base stats or lower base stats than Absol. If it is higher, the power of the move would be equal or even lower.
(Level 50): If the copied power is of different element typing, the power of move would not decrease.

'Dark pulse' and 'Me first' have become convenient and powerful. For the longest time, Axel didn't know how to raise Absol, as he was not sure about the dark-type Pokemons.
Dark type was a very complicated type. It didn't refer to darkness which was void of life. However, it seemed like Absol and Axel had found a way to do something about it.
It had also learned a new move.

Darkness imprisonment: The target would be inside the illusion where it would be in a dark place. The illusion could be broken but it would take some time. The user would feel that it was blind during this time.

This was an interesting move. If this move could cross level 40 and have some modification, it would be like Tsukuyomi of Uchiha Itachi. However, that would take a lot of time to accomplish. All in all, he was happy with the progress.
Axel only wanted it to have a fast speed. It was able to train 'Rock Polish' to level 40. However, even though the speed was not enough. So, Axel wanted to make a new move for Absol to increase its speed. Creating a new move was not easy. It would take some time to do it. Absol and Axel had some idea on how to do it but it would take some time.
Finally, he looked at Gyarados.

Its health had massively improved to 6k and most of its stats have improved too. Axel believed that its attack stat would improve to SS rank very soon and it would be eligible to rank up to the king rank.

(Level 45): There is higher air pressure on both right and left side of the tail fins separately, giving it more power.
(Level 50): The move is extremely fast and more powerful than before.
Outrage (Gyarados): (Level 40): There is less chance for Gyarados to be confused after using this move.
(Level 45): There is less chance for Gyarados to be confused after using this move.
(Level 50): Gyarados could discontinue the attack and attack or use other moves. The chances of that are 50%.
Hyper beam (Gyarados) (Level 40): It would take less time to charge for the attack.

Sky walk (Gyarados) (Level 40): During heavy rain fall, Gyarados could perpetually fly like a flying snake.
However, without heavy rainfall, 'Sky walk' would just function as before but it would still be in the air for a long period of time.
(Level 45): While using this move, the power of its ability 'Intimidation' would be higher and the target would be severely affected by it.
Hydro pump (Gyarados) (Level 40): The size of the 'Hydro pump' had decreased but its pressure had increased. With 'Water manipulation', the power of the attack was huge.
(Level 45): The pressure of the 'Hydro pump' has further increased.
Water manipulation (Gyarados) (Level 40): It could now manipulate the water more easily and fastly.
(Level 45): The pressure of the water-type attacks would increase while using this move.
Rain dance (Gyarados): (Level 40): The power of water-type moves increases by 40%. Previously it was only 20%.
(Level 45): It would now last for 10 minutes.
(Level 50): The power of water-type moves increases by 50%.
Tail Blade (Gyarados) (level 40): The number of blades had increased from 7 to 20.
(Level 45): The blades are now very fast and could change direction one time.
(Level 50): These water blades have mini blades inside of them, which would increase the destructive power of the attack.

Rage built- It channels its anger and builds its rage. This would increase its attack stat to a very high degree but for a short time.
Full Throttle- Explode with all the rage that has been built. This would be a physical attack and Gyarados would smack its whole body towards its opponent.

Gyarados could only use this move 1 time and have to rest for 1 day. The cooldown period of this move is 7 days.
Both of these moves looked very interesting. However, these moves were incomplete.
First of all, 'Rage built' could not be used more than one time. Axel had told Gyarados to use it again but it failed to do it. Its body could not gather around and hold that much rage inside its body.
Secondly, since the power of 'Rage built' would not be so high, the power of 'Full Throttle' would also not be so high. The move could only be used once in every 7 days and the move was not very high in power to have such a cool down.
Suddenly, Axel had an epiphany. What if he creates a move that could hold all the rage built inside? Then, Gyarados could use 'Rage built' multiple times and then store it somewhere and then use all of it with 'Full throttle'.
He didn't know how he was going to create a rage storage move but this was a new thinking and this was progress.
Axel shared the move concept with Gyarados.
"I don't know how we can do it but at this time, I can only think of that way. Let's try it for a month. If we cannot do it for a month, then we will change its strategy.", said Axel.

Meanwhile, others were also training. Axel had told all of them what to do. Charizard was still struggling to control the temperature of its fire. It was getting there but it still needed some time. Axel had all the time in the world, so he was not worried.
Most of his Pokemons were training on their new moves while Mamoswine was getting ready to train. It had just ranked up to the king rank and it needed some time to adjust itself.
Steelix was fully concentrating on its passive move. Axel knew that upgrading the passive move would be very hard, so he knew that it would take an ample amount of time.
