Chapter 35: The fall of beacon
Logan woke up and pried yangs koala grip off of him, Logan came to the conclusion that dragon women are possessive so ^note to self- avoid dxd and fairy tail dragon slayer women^. After that he bathed and stretched a little to prepare for the day, he checked his scroll and found something quite interesting. Mercury black is in the infirmary alone which made Logan have an evil grin.
Quickly he opened several pages on his scroll and selected the discreet male meet up service. Mercury was now about to receive a visit from a horny moose faunus who's into doctor play, today he will have to restrain and "sedate" an unwilling patient. Logan laughed evilly as he left to go about his day.
He met up with his team and discussed their objectives for the day, they have to ensure that beacon doesn't fall and the Pyrrha doesn't die. Giyu and mogana are going to be on the ground near the crater that leaks the Grimm into the city, the counter malware that will regain control of the atlas bots has been installed and alice said she's just going to wander. Logan decided to place himself on the ship so he can handle the gigantic Grimm and maybe help Pyrrha but hopefully the training will cover that.
As they broke up to head to their positions they heard a male screaming and the grunt of a moose which made Logan laugh, Alice being ever so curious demanded to know. "I set mercury up to be visited by a gay moose faunus, the results can be determined by the sounds" "hoho~ your quite evil when you feel like it ayyy Logan kun~" which made them both laugh evilly.
The rest of the day was spent fraternising with the local characters. Rwby are hungover or complaining about sore legs so Logan offered his massage skills. Lucas fernando was a true master, I wish I knew where he ended up. After that they found Nora positively beaming while ren and Jaune look like skeletons so enough can be surmised from the context.
Logan boarded the bulkhead with ruby to see the view from the airship after everyone had their lunch. Some were confused about why Logan asked them if they had enough ammo so decided to go buy some more dust in town. As Logan was chilling on the plane he pulled up his to do list:
1. Mess with team semen ✔️
2. Make sure everyone has ammo ✔️
3. Confirm software is installed ✔️
4. Gather remnant products to bring back home ✔️
5. Make sure Pyrrha is selected as the next maiden by ozma (Logan checks the cams to find her and Jaune being led underground) ✔️
6. Destroy torch wick hat (in progress)
7. Save the world (eh beacon will do)
8. Download as many songs and comics from this world to sell back home ✔️
"Okay we should be good to go" "what's that Logan?" "My to do list ruby" "oh so like a chore list, I always hated those" "really? I always thought they were kinda fun depending on the tasks"
After that they just made small talk till they arrived on the floating ship, they marched towards torchwicks cell so they could interrogate him. Every atlas robot that got in their way malfunctioned before letting them pass. Logan then began using the key pad before it opened to show a haggard torchwick.
"Well,well,well if it's isn't little red and the big bad wolf. What do I owe the displeasure". "Sup weasly I just came for that she came for questions" Logan stages before swiping his hat. "I don't know who weasly is but I feel insulted, now..... GIVE ME MY HAT!!!!" "A,A,Ah first you got answer her questions".
This led to ruby learning about cinders plan before he began ranting again so Logan gave him a fastball "so I heard ya fucked an ostrich" which made ruby and Roman freeze. "Whooooo told you that?" He replied shakily "aww you know, heard it on the grapevine. Plus your peg legged friend loved to spill dirty little secrets about you. Just wanted to make sure it's true~". Roman then slammed his hand onto the door of his cell "that lying bastard, what other bullshit did he tell you because it's all lies" "everything?" "YES EVERYTHING" "so you do have a soul?" "OF COURSE I DO" "so you aren't scared of spiders" "ONLY POISONOUS ONES" "so you did get rejected by willow schnee because she said the cave was compensating" "SCREE YOU!!!" "Is it also true that your criminal empire started out of a bar called the man whole".
Ruby got to witness a man get so angry that he coughed blood and passed out that day. "Can you teach me to do that" she asked cutely. "Sure let's go, just let me post these facts online first" and with that they left to explore the ship.
They went and sat on the edge while watching the sun begin to set, for fun Logan let ruby snipe the hat he stole with her crescent rose which led to someone screaming in rage. Roman could feel his hat being destroyed. He must have been an evil weasly to have made his hat a horcrux.
As Logan sat there explosions began to ring out throughout the city, the attack was starting. "Ruby gear up!" He shouted before pulling his tonfa loose as rumblings occurred. A massive bird Grimm appeared and was heading towards the ship, the malware came online and the robots started shooting on civilians so Logan activated his own which basically reboot them onto shooting the white fang members.
Ruby began sniping the smaller bird Grimm whilst Logan fires his high powered shots at the larger one making it screech. The duo heard a door slide open only to find a fuming ginger "you evil asshole! You posted fake news about me and destroyed my hat... DIE!!!" He shouted pointing his cane at Logan about to pull the trigger. But that round was never going to hit its mark as the gigantic bird Grimm swallowed him whole. A little smoke came from it's mouth showing that the rocket hit its interior.
Grimm hunt negative emotions and Roman was covered in them. Logan turned to see the top of the tower in beacon blow up and raise an ash cloud. He focused his aura in his eyes and saw Pyrrha bearing back cinder but emerald and a limping mercury arrived. "Ruby I'm about to throw you to help Pyrrha" "but what about the giant" "I got it, now remember what I taught you" he said before grabbing her and spinning rapidly to throw her like a shotput.
Cinder was pulling back an arrow whilst emerald used her semblance on Pyrrha. Before she could let it fly she heard a high pitched "DYNAMIC ENTRY!!!!!" Before w red and black combat boot impacted her head sending her hurtling towards mercury. She was sent spiralling towards him and impacted his crotch heavily. As her senses faded she heard a squeal so high pitched she didn't think it was possible, she heard bones shatter and felt something squishy began to flatten. The last thing she sensed was an odd fishy smell coming from Mercury's behind before she blacked out.
"CINDER!!! MERCURY!!!!!!" Emerald called out breaking the connection with Pyrrha which proved to be a fatal error. As soon as Pyrrha regained herself she executed an rko on emerald knocking her bitch ass out. "Thanks for the save ruby" "no problem though it was Logan who threw me" Pyrrha then bit her lip and showed an ecstatic expression for a minute "of course he did".
They then discussed what was going to happen not noticing the shiny goo floating into Pyrrha from the unconscious cinder. The power of youth temporarily stopped her heart so the maiden abilities could pass to Pyrrha. Cinder moaned "no" in her sleep as her heart kickstarted.
Meanwhile in the city team cfvy was watching Alice decimate the grim as she sounded around stabbing and shooting every one of them in a white tornado. They felt it best to move onto another section but found a similar outcome there as mogana has sliced them to pieces. For the third they moved to a different spot not stopping to try and join the rest of JNPR as they heard Nora laughing while white fang guys complained about their legs.
Finally coming onto a less destroyed area they watched as Giyu beheaded some red headed bull faunus whilst blake began to cry about it with tears of joy. Today is weird they thought. At other parts of the city several adults were in action with Qrow slicing and dicing whilst ironwood went all robocop on the white fang.
Glynda just force thrower anything that got in her way and the other teachers bulldozed everything else. A surprising show was willow schnee summoning white tentacles and constricting several Grimm to death whilst Whitley watched on with a faint hint of worship in his eyes. His mother chuckled and said "don't worry my son, before I met that scum I was a successful huntress. Your grandparents didn't raise no weakling. I'll train you and your sister in the family arts after this is over." Which made Whitley bod rapidly.
Back on top of the airship Logan screamed "BULTAR!!!!!" As he jumped on the back of the word and began hitting it with everything he held. The word he screamed was a reference to a series called praise the orc! Anyway the Grimm best down quickly became a game of buckaroo with it trying to shake Logan off but he just yanked out its feathers to use as a grip.
He ran up the spine of the bird before slamming his tonfa into its eyes and emptying the clip into them. The bird began to go limp and start plummeting towards the city below to Logan used the tonfa stuck in its head to steer it towards some Grimm that managed to survive the onslaught. A massive explosion happened as the Grimm crashed like a plane crushing several Grimm. It finally stopped in front of a petrified team cardinal who began pissing themselves at the monstrous Grimm in front of them.
Logan remover his weapons and jumped off its head as it returned to dust whilst super hero landing in front of them. His knees only get stronger thanks to his semblance. He stood up slowly in a dramatic fashion before slowly turning towards cardin. Then he jolted and said "boo" which made cardin pass out.
An epic way to end the mission he thought as his scroll dinged signifying the end of their time in remnant.
