I arrived at a gate, seeing other cars in front of me being let in. Four other vehicles were here; these must be the other dinner guests. I finally was let inside the entrance, and a butler knocked on my door. I pulled down my window. "Sir, the owner wishes for you to leave us the car. We will take good care of them and park them." He pursued, and I agreed. I got out, and he took my car; I noticed many other butlers take the other vehicles.
I watched the guests go into the big, beautiful manor. It looked familiar, but I couldn't quite put my finger on why I knew this manor. I arrived inside, and a maid took my jacket- "Please make yourselves all at home; dinner will be displayed shortly." she said to us all; we took seats on the three couches.
"I'm Nykoale Cormic! This is my husband, Leo Cormic!" the woman across from me said with a heartfelt smile- her husband, on the other hand, was ultimately the opposite of her.
He looked scary, stone-faced, and he looked like the strongest in the room. "I'm Jennifer, but everyone calls me Jen!" A young teenage girl said with a younger girl next to her- "I'm Angelica- Jen's younger sister." Angelica muttered, gaining sympathy from us adults. "I'm Markus." A man in a business suit spoke with a feminine guy next to him- "I'm Luis."
"William." The older male said, "Where's your misses or mister?" Nykoale smiled, "We are divorced." William said coldly, gaining an apology from her.
"Your turn." Markus directed to me, "I'm Julian, top detective of the city police department." I explained as everyone seemed interested. "Then, do you know anything about these invitations?" Leo finally spoke up- "Sadly, I know nothing. But for some reason, this place does look familiar." I explained.
"That doesn't help Mr. Detective." Angelica spoke up, "It's fine! I'm sure we'll all get our answers once this mysterious man shows up!" Nykoale said with everyone nodding in approval. Slowly we learned that Markus and Luis are fiancees who own a business, William is an ex-cop, Nykoale and Liam live in the far country. I told the group how I'm a widow, and the younger girls stayed silent the whole time?
"Ladies, gentlemen- our master is here." all the waiting staff bowed as a man walked down a flight of stairs- he stood in front of us with a handsome smile. "Hello, everyone." he smiled as we all greeted, "H-Hi!" Nykoale said, practically drooling over this mystery man as Leo glared at her.
"I love to see you all here! I'm Mr. Ausovian-" whispers started to scatter through the group- "Excuse me, who?" Angelica asked, but immediately Jen covered her mouth. "Oh no, it's okay. I'm a famous businessman, I work in all sorts of industries, but the one I'm most known for is being in many famous movies/shows, etc." Mr. Ausovian explained as Angelica looked so very impressed.
"What kind of game will we be playing to win the cash?"
Markus asked with a sort of spark in his eyes, "You've all heard of murder mystery- no?" he questioned with all of us nodding. "My game is similar- just a few minor differences..." "What kind of differences?" I interviewed a bit further and immediately I saw a butler with a gun on a pillow! "Get behind us!" William and I yelled to the other guests- they hid behind us.
Mr. Ausovian shot one of the maids- she bled out as everyone screamed. "WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE!" Angelica screamed- running to the door and trying to budget it open, but it looked locked... Mr. Ausovian pointed his gun at Angelica. "DON'T SHOOT!" I yelled to him as he narrowed his eyes- "If any of you come closer, her brains will be splattered on the walls."
"S-Sweety... Don't move..."
Nykoale struggled to tell Angelica; she stayed still until Mr. Ausovian went back to his stairs. "You all will have dinner, placed in rooms, and then we'll speak more tomorrow." he left; we were taken to eat, but everyone seemed internally traumatized... We were taken to rooms and locked in- no way in- no way out. "What have I got myself into..."
