Chapter 43: CH.40 - Battle ?!
"Found you." Everyone heard a boy monotonous, almost lifeless voice.
Enkai didn't have enough time to react, he only was able to but both of his hands in front of him to protect himself.
Alas it wasn't enough and was sent flying to the forest where his body destroyed ever tree it came across before finally stopping at one.
"Urgh…*ptui*" Enkai coughed a lot amount of blood, and held the part where he was hit.
Even if he protected himself with his hands it wasn't enough and was still hit at the abdomen.
His left hands was also hit. The force behind the punch was too strong and now he could almost not feel it.
Don't even motion moving it.
With one hit Enkai was almost sent out of combat. Yue and Shia were sent flying else where by the aftermath of the hit. Enkai didn't know about Ameli whereabouts and didn't bother. Right now he almost died if he didn't react.
As the dust went away, Enkai saw houses destroyed, the houses were build on trees so, with Enkai destroying the trees, the houses followed.
"*Cough*, *Cough*, what was that…" Enkai mumbled to no one.
He looked around and he didn't see any corpse or blood, only the destruction of the house and the tree.
Finally Enkai set his eyes on the only being apart from himself present.
It was a boy, he was short and had black hair and eyes. His eyes were lifeless, as if he was a puppet. He didn't gave the impression of someone powerful but Enkai knew better than anyone.
The boy didn't have any weapon…no wrong he did have one but it was gauntlet, Enkai knew he was hit by those.
Close combat wasn't Enkai's forte so he was at a disadvantage.
"What do you want?" Enkai asked coldly, his state was in a mess but he was healing, healing at a very fast rate like in the abyss. He felt his rib cage hurting less and only phantom pain could be felt.
Alas his left hand, which took the most part of the attack didn't healed for now. So Enkai asked question to gain time.
"The tattoo" The boy responded, his voice didn't have any emotion as if he was a puppet.
'Tattoo? What is he talking about' Enkai was confused.
"What tattoo" Enkai asked, unfortunately the boy didn't respond and only pointed at Enkai.
Suddenly Enkai felt danger, and without any more time he left the place he was and climbed on one of the fallen trees.
*boom*
An explosion occurred where he was.
"Oh? You have good reflexes boy…"
He suddenly heard a playful voice, it was old and the voice of a man.
Enkai didn't respond and only looked at the place the voice was coming from.
What he saw was a man dressed like a cowboy and holding a cannon on his back. He had a playful expression on his face.
"The master is waiting, don't waste time here, just get the necklace"
And again, Enkai heard a voice.
This time it was a woman, she was dressed with a uniform, a military one and glasses, she had that arrogant look, as is she looked down on the entire world.
Seeing this, not only Enkai was angry but the 2 man also, the boy even frowned looking at her.
"Boy, give us the necklace and we will let you live, don't resist or it will be painful" the woman didn't even look at Enkai while seeing that, she was looking at the paper in her hands.
Fortunately the time Enkai gained was enough to heal, not entirely but he could at least fight.
And Enkai finally understood what they were after, the necklace Shia's father Kam gave him.
He didn't know why but he felt it was something big, otherwise powerful people like them wouldn't be coming.
But Enkai thought reasonably, it was currently a 1v3, and they were not detected by Enkai as he was too relaxed, he should have known that if he could see through the fog, some could also.
He didn't know about the other two but Enkai knew he could beat the three of them in a one v one or 2v1.
It was almost instinct, he didn't know why but he knew he could beat them.
He also wanted to know what the necklace was.
Enkai didn't respond to the woman and only took his katana on the ground, and unsheathed it.
The woman not receiving a response finally looked at him and seeing what he did was angered.
'This piece of sh*t don't know his place huh?'
"Kill him"
"Let's see if you can, arrogant bitch"
Enkai had nothing against her, she was just an enemy, but he felt the need to insult her, it was mandatory, arrogant glasses woman were too much.
The woman face, which still had that arrogant air broke a little after hearing Enkai's response.
"Hahahaha, it's truly unfortunate we are not comrade boy, we would have been good friends." The cowboy said with a big laugh.
'…are they stupid? I mean…friends? Let's not think about that'
"Let's just fight old man" Enkai sighed and responded, looking at the man and the boy. He felt like that arrogant woman would not fight, no to be precise he didn't feel anything powerful from this woman.
Well, Enkai didn't know but, the woman was truly weak, and her strength only came from artefacts. She only have the superior position because she was the "Master" woman, or more precisely, bitch. But that's a story for another time.
"You said it boy, don't curse me in the afterlife 'Kay?"
The old man responded, while walking toward the emotionless boy staying at his side. His cannon though glowed red, showing it was the time to fight.
Enkai didn't respond, and only sprinted toward them.
