"Are you nervous?" Cindy ask behind me.
"Yeah, I am. This studio is quite bigger, the last time I came here it was floor 6 right?" I said trying calm myself. It's full ac in here and I am sweating, my palms are so wet and my body feels hot and cold I don't know how to describe this feeling but I am nervous as hell. "What if the model instructor doesn't like my style of photography?"
"I think she'll like you, Don't worry she's super nice. I just hope the models will cooperate what were trying to portrait in the dresses." Cindy said, "Because if they mess it up, the studio is gonna shake no doubt."
Oh my god she's terrifying already, why did I signed up for this, "I'm scared." I blurted out.
"Don't be, Trust me. You'll do great," Cindy reassured me.
"This the first time I'm going to work with her, Cindy. She's the most professional person I know, She's perfect, she's flawless, she's —"
"And so are you," Cindy cut me, "Nerve wreaking, I know but trust me you'll do great, Angelica." I let out a big breath to calm myself. Cindy looked behind me and said, "Oh She's here."
Oh my god, Jade is here.
Cindy walked passed me and I followed her, "Hello, Jade." She greeted and let out her hand.
Jade smiled and accepted her hands, "Hello, I'm so sorry I'm late."
"You are not late we are just very early." I didn't know I was thinking out loud when both of them stared at me. I hurriedly composed myself and let out my hands, "I'm sorry my name is Angelica."
"Finally!" She unexpectedly said, "I always say that a lot you know? I know I'm not late." She laughed, "I'm Jade," She shook my hand in return, "I'm so glad to finally meet you. I heard tons of stories about you. "
"Oh, I hope good things." I nervously laugh.
"Oh trust me, it's all good things. I hope I can work with you in the near future, I love your Photos." Jade smiled, "I bought some photos of you a year ago I think, I hope you know that."
"Really?" I was shocked.
"Yeah, It was a Photography of pain and loss, I love it so much." She said.
I started to melt mentally and my heart flutters by her words, "Thank you so much, Jade." And she said her welcome.
Jade excused herself and assisted all the models. Cindy was trying to help some preparation with the staff and everybody else in the studio. It was an absolute chaos if you ask me, but it is also well organized and that's art for me. I clean up my lenses and took some shots to make sure my flash are bright and working, I haven't use this bad boy in a while. In a room full of tall people make me feel like a dwarf, I do question myself sometimes why am I so small.
Cindy is tall and she's not even wearing heels, Jade is already tall, and the models are tall. I feel so out place when it comes to heights, I'll always be known as a dwarf inside this building. But when I'm outside, I do find people with the same height as me so I consider my height as normal, People here are just so tall. I sat on the corner making myself comfortable while Cindy was barking at the phone.
Must be late model I supposed.
"You must be here in before 20 minutes Evans or I swear to god Jade will blow up this whole place down! You know her when she's angry." Cindy growled, clenching her teeth and balled her hands into fist.
Concern runs through my vein, I went to her. "What happened?" I asked, "Is everything alright?"
"This stupid ass model who's always late. Never comes on time, good for nothing Evans," Cindy rubbed her temples, "Men, right?"
I chuckled, "Couldn't agree more,"
"Come on we should start by now," Jade start clapping her hands, trying to hype everyone up. Jade kept on glancing on her watch and to everyone who's preparing.
The make up artist were very careful with their models, their make up are very light more like no make up at all even though it was only light make up. Jeez it can take a lot of time. Since I'll be shooting the cover of the magazine today, all the models will gather up.
"Thank you! Your so damn early Nicholas!" Cindy sigh in relief.
Nicholas?
Oh hell no.
I looked at Cindy's direction and there he was, looking fresh with his white shirt and black pants and white sneakers. He took off his hat and release his wet medium hair, I supposed he just took a shower. He looked sober and as well.
"Had a tough night," He said and sat in front of the vanity mirror and the make up artist directly swatch some make up on his face.
Someone's grumpy early in the morning.
30 minutes later Everyone is ready and I've been hiding in this curtains for so long my butt is getting hurt on this chair, It's a comfy chair but this situation right now isn't, I'm getting sweaty all over again.
"Angelica?" Cindy came through the curtains, "Are you alright? You've been sitting there for 30 minutes. Do you need some water or anything? I know this seem so unprofessional and you have to wait. This won't happened again."
I stood up, wiping my sweaty hands on my shorts. It's full ac in here and I'm wearing shorts and still have sweaty hands and forehead. I have to wear short in order for me to get comfortable when I sit down for a good angle or stood up or climb you know the drill. "No Cindy please, It's okay. I'm just nervous...Yeah, I'm nervous," I said.
"I thought you were getting all comfortable with, Jade." Cindy said,
"I am, I just... It's been a while since I grab this camera so yeah, I'll be fine don't worry." Not when your capturing your ex in this studio.
