Chapter 2: Prologue 2: Darkness Rises

The boy and Lucy got along well together, soon the boy called the library his home. He would question Lucy about what his name is and what secrets lay within this library. "Be patient, my child. You will not go nameless besides, a book with no name is still worth reading. This library is your home now, explore and figure out all that it holds.". The boy listened then looked down. He gave Lucy a cold reminder: "I can't do that, look at me. I'm stuck in a wheelchair, so I can barely move myself. How do you expect me to explore when I cannot walk?".

Lucy grabbed his hand and placed it on the wheel of his wheelchair then looked up at him. " "Barely.". Did you hear me? Even if you can barely move, you can still move so be patient and explore slowly. As I said, this is your home and you have a lot more time than you think to see its secrets and magical wonders that are more than you can ever imagine.". These were the woman's last words before she disappeared.

The boy closed his eyes and shook his head as if he was trying to shake the memories right out of him but when he opened his eyes the library which was always lit with a soft blue haze was now dark and cold. The stars were gone, there was nothing but a cold black night. "They left me just like her" the thought seeped into his mind but quickly ran out and was replaced with fear. He backed up into a corner on the third floor. His eyes filled with horror as he started to cry watching everything fall.

The books turned black and then burned leaving nothing but ash. The many trinkets that Lucy left behind cracked and exploded. Then a deep hollow voice came from everywhere and nowhere." Boy where are you? I know you have the tool. Give it to me!". For a second the young boy didn't dare move. Then he looked at the note and book Lucy left behind. Perhaps it had something to do with all the chaos that was going on.
