Chapter 50: Differences [50]

"What's the difference between lower ranked demons and higher ranked demons?" I asked.

He walked back to his chair and crossed his legs as he settled casually in it. 

"Okay --- Let me make it easy for you. Lower ranked demons are like juniors and higher ones are their seniors. Being seniors, higher ranked demons have certain set of privileges than the lower ones. Like a senior can ask his juniors to do things, a higher ranked demon can command or order lower demons to carry out tasks and they will be obliged to follow their orders as they are in no place to defy them. Or in other words, higher demons are elders while lower ones are younger ones." He explained and his head fell back as he rubbed his eyes. He appeared to be dog tired.

"Is that the only difference?" I supported my head on my hand.

"No, there are more. A lower demon does not have a body of its own, one of the reasons why they possess humans." He said with his head hanging back.
